nah man they only won some grand prixs they never won world cups.. they went to the olympics but did they win somethinig? marx never even won panamerican games.. theyre only famous in the us..
xD you really don't realize who you're insulting. i'm assuming you've heard of Cody Mattern, Seth Kelsey and Michael Marx? yeah, they all train at our club.
seth kelsey is #2 in the world, he's been in the last 2 olympics, cody mattern has won multiple world champs, michael marx is in the fencing hall of fame, he's been in the olympics 5 times, he is the only fencer in the last 50 years to make the olympic teams in both foil and epee, he has NUMEROUS world championship titles, and holds an american record for the most national titles.
Marx is really good & has some good fencers - Rebecca Ward got 3rd in Sabre in the Olympics (she got screwed in the semis), and for a while they had Zegunis' (1st little brother, I'm not sure if he still fences. Though all in all NWFC is sketch in many ways, but I guess I'm bias.

Marx is indeed intimidating, but very fair at judging. Well I'm bias because i'm from Studio of American Fencing, I've been teaching a while & I finally have the time & $ to compete again. I just have had so many issues with NWFC. Judges coaching my beaverton opponents near finals, at times giving close calls to my beaverton opponent, always having last minute "friday night fights" & at times thursday ones just to up everyone's ratings. It's frustrating when bigger clubs try to monopolize.
hm, i suppose that's fair. the friday night fights and such might be TRYING to up everyone's rating but it never works, cause it happens just like its supposed to, all the A's and B's just kill everyone else. myself being a D am quite familiar with how annoying friday night fights can be. :P

Well I teach my classes at 4:30 on tuesdays, but that's a kids class. Our schedule is usually class at 6pm Mon-Thurs, Noon on Saturday. I'll be sure to note that. I would tell you to recognize me by my huge curly afro but I cut it off & donated it. I'm usually there monday and tuesday.
