  • Great animation. Undo - the time from 1964-2006? Then he reads from 1948-2031 and rips the page. Sounds like a space rip. How do you spell the name of the man spoken of in the beginning? Do you know? The books on the shelves with planetary signs are some kind of science fictional or historical chronicles. Maybe war games. This was different. Now - have to look at: Better Left Forgotten. Thank you, for posting. :~)

  • I do think his head is a bit to large

  • that guys anatomy looks fucked up

  • Awesome idea. I agree...write a feature length script! But dont sell it, make it yourself!!

  • xavier should of used this

  • ..so.. ..should i stop or start reading books.....

  • why did he had the heart attack?what is the author trying to say with this?first i thought he wants to show us that we can't change our fate, but at 00:40 we see he had heart problems before to open the book....

  • your animations are so cool you should make your own movies

  • good technics, boring though

  • CONSEQUENCES

  • This really looks like it could be a great Sci-Fi feature film. Like there's a legend about a library where each book is an account of the life of every person in existence, and if you can find your book in the present time you could change your fate.

    Or something. BD

  • @esmetyler1 That's a great idea! I wonder if i could send this idea to some movie studio or something, it would be a great movie..!

  • @jurassicpark4ever

Just so long as I get royalties. BD

  • @esmetyler1 Lol if I ever happen to be able to send this idea anywhere, you are getting the credits for it :D

  • I get it the book was about his life if he rips the page then that undos that page so it didn't happen but because it's reality he didn't last That long

  • @californiakienitz well kinda, but its like this.

He broke his leg thus he didnt do this or that or those other things, since he had only one leg.

Then he ripped the page out thus getting his leg back but since he never lost his leg in the past he was able to do all those other things, but he got a heart attack instead.

He got his leg and lost his life.

  • i think what should be happend will be, we will not jump over

  • Hey guyz, u do not no wat dis iz about, im the animators (marcin wasko) cousin. the the thing is a guy is crippled and rips the page with that disease on it. so its like nobody in the world can be crippled, but then he has a heart attack. it is saying sorry 4 our grandparents who passed away.

  • three words: MAKE A MOVIE!!!

  • awesome vid... i stworzyli Polacy...?

  • i find it funny how by changing the mood you can change peoples interpretation, in this video, the man chooses to die in order to walk for a moment and its seen as dumb(he wasnt 83 yet, thats old he WOULD have been), but in aniBOOM's other video "smile" a robot goes out while on low power to try to smile, which he only sees himself doing before dying, and its thought of to be the right choice

  • Kick-ass-animation and a very dense, intelligent story, that leaves room for interpretation. Aaaahh, so refreshing to read comments, that are comments, not just insults and counter-insults!!! :DDD WTG!!!

  • I think its sad either way.

  • death is anyway the utmost reality.. i'd say gud happend!!.. who wants to live life in such a bad physical condition.. either live fit n happy or die... nd yeah.." 83 years" is more than life..

  • nice animation

  • Death is inevitable.

  • thats a really awesome concept i think i might wright a story based on that

  • 83 years old? that's an okay life.

  • Man that was cool I wish I could do that but I don't want to have cardiac arrest

  • Either that or he had spent his entire life searching for a way to undo the accident and he finally did at the last minute.

Either way I kind of interpret it like this:

It is better to use what time you have to the fullest possible and let go of the past than to spend your life wallowing in unresolved woes.

  • well i see it this way...you can somehow erase a past event by facing it, then in the present you can live without the fear of that event has given you, but the only thing for sure is that you can't change the future, because it's something you didn't live yet...so in other words, you can change your past, live your presnt but you can't undo what's going to come...this is how i interpreted

  • he changed the past, it changed the present, it created a new future, and his future, like all of ours, is evidently death

  • I'm not sure if I can interpret this short as only about heartache, changing your life, memories are what makes us, or even regrets... What really sticks with me is that no matter what happens, not even if you can rip a page off the history books, one thing is for sure. You're going to die. I don't believe there's one human being on earth who is exempt from that.

  • I'm thinking that he caused an accident that killed someone that he loved or that was innocent and he is giving them back their life before he dies from his heart condition. :)

  • This may potentially be a conondrum. He is in deep thought. As to what would be the root of his heart problem. By using his deductive logic, he must've believed that his death (in 2031) was to be caused from the motorcycle accident. Assuming that he can only remove one memory.

This is simply an inductive logical twist into something much more interepretive. I would not take it as a literal conclusion but rather a potential thought.

  • Nice work!!!

there is an animation on youtube, same graphics... something with no gravity....and at the and...everything collapse...do someone know the title.?

  • Amazing. This is grade A stuff. Not only is the quality top notch, the the idea is movie/video game worthy.

He could have a little more expression, though, when he's having the heart attack. I mean, like a little pain mixed with shock.

But the idea is gorgeous. He nullifies a past crash, only to die realizing the crash had prevented a heart attack.

  • Very good until the last bit, it seemed he just... died, and that ruined it for me. Until then I loved the idea.

  • good job, but i personally think that his arm and hands is a bit small for his size.

    good concept, great animations

  • ...He teared away a part of his life where he became crippled but it was the accident that kept him alive from the heart attack that we would have if not for the accident...

    I'm the dumbass?

  • At the beginning of the video he reaches for his heart so even though he rewrote his' past by tearing out the past he couldnt change that he was going to has a heart attack

  • so, by tearing a page out of a book, he undoes a part of his life, resulting in him not having become crippled but dying of a heart attack instead?

    ok....right.

  • This is videogame worthy animation, and the concept was just intensly gripping.

  • Very realistic and detailed. But i think the facial expression and emotion nedds work. x

  • second wind is the best

  • this is the best besides evergreen of course ^_^

  • outstanding

  • wow, that left me thinking.. that whatever happened, that we may have seemed to regret, were all for a purpose. We are who we are because of them. What happened isn't the issue; it's how you lived after it. Living each moment, regretting nothing.

hands down for this one. amaaaaazing.

  • I liked the idea...it can make a great movie

imagine UNDOING things in ur life by tearing off a page from the book of ur life..

i wanna undo couple of things myself :)

  • @spidermoon2006 Watch "Butterfly effect" same concept and great movie.

  • awesome !

  • Dude, that was crazy intense. :D The concept would make an awesome movie.

  • that is an intense and wiked animation man, howd u think of it?

Great work and so much detail

  • Perfect ! This animation looks real ! Very good job ! :O

  • he wanted to be dead ,right?

  • Heres how i think it was played out: A crippled man has books that contain his life's story. He manages to find a page of one of the books that happened to be when he broke his legs. He then decided to undo his accident and free himself from being crippled. He did this by ripping the page of his life out. When he did this, you notice that the letters on the next page change. This indicated that changing the course of his life caused him to one day have a heart attack. There ya go guys.

  • perfect I agree

  • now i understand tnks

  • I agree with you, though one thing I found peculiar was that he had some kind of problem with his heart before tearing out the page.............. Nvm just thought maybe the crash stopped him from getting a heart attack earlier

  • @xxnutcreamxx thank you very much you saved me 3 minutes, I fast forwarded. :) +1

  • @xxnutcreamxx i think your interperetation was right. He has escape theaccident, therefore changing his life. But in the end, he can't escape death.

  • @xxnutcreamxx

    yes very good!

  • @xxnutcreamxx or alternatively his obsession with one past event proved his undoing; we see him clutch his chest at the beginning with a similar sound effect of an ailing heart. By ignoring the present and not living in the now(or looking ahead) he sealed his fate.

  • @xxnutcreamxx ... very interesting point, I think not everyone notices right away that letters on next page are changing while he is ripping out the page. But I am thinking another possibility ... at the beginning when he is on wheel chair he still is holding his heart ...true I think he wanted to undo the accident from the past but it was not still enough .. I think his heart was weak since the beginning ... he tried to "cheat" the destiny but he could not ...

  • omg...that was intense.....:O BravoOOhhh!!!

  • he undid an accident that crippled him, thinking that getting his legs back will make his life better. But there are worse things that can happen to you, or could have happened at the accident

  • how come in alot of animations the people don't speak?

  • if the acting can get across the message by itself, there's no need to speak, and it leaves more room for interpretation.

  • Its a universal language.

  • HUMAN STILL DIE......

  • this was a fucking unbelievable animation...

    a brilliant idea

  • He went to gods room :D

  • Maybe he wanted to escape death but it didn't work.

  • I think he die because he's already old, and before he died, he want to erase his sin.

  • interesting concept, erasing the past by tearing off a page. I didn't understand why he died either, but I think it was because of the shock from the experience

  • yeah i don't get why he died either?? any ideas anyone?

  • I think he tried to fix some mistakes (maybe an accident) changing the past, but he changed his future too

  • well i believe he already had a heart disease and ripping the page off he sped up his own death

  • so the guy had an accident to undo it he rips of the page and he dies?

  • basically its the butterfly effect movie. he changed his past but instead of being in a wheelchair he did something that gave him a bad heart. something like that get it?

  • so he went to the past to change the future?

  • Widać,że robił to Polak Parchy!!!!

  • thts amazing i likeit. it reminds me of :replay

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!! I luved how the words started to changed as he ripped the page just Awesome

  • Excellent textures!

  • This was very good animation. Interesting too how the lettering on the other pages changed as that one was ripped.

  • wow!!

  • W0W!

  • sham.. XD

  • Absolutely awesome!!! incredible piece of art! Marcin Wasko is a really incredible artist!! 5 stars!

  • I loved that the words on the pages afterwards changed as he tore the page out.

  • What kind of software did you use? The quality was surprisingly good

  • it's quality is both subjective and relative; I don't think people are necessarily pretending to be profound, every piece of media affects people differently, each individual will draw something different from any given piece. or nothing at all. apparently you didn't. But whatever, neither did I. It still kept my attention though, and it was good animation so....

    4*

  • nobody can change the past.....

  • but what about jump to another time line? One where what ever was one the page never happened? That's possible. (providing you count the theory of multiple timelines as possible) :-)

  • then i guess there'll be another book for you then... assuming multiple timeline theory is possible ^.^

  • assuming multiple time line is possible how many books can there be wouldnt it cause all space to spontaneously implode !!! ...*insert evil laugh here*

  • wow... fantastic.

  • Beautiful piece of cinema. I can only hope I can someday make a masterpiece such as this one. Five stars.

  • awesome

  • y does he have a heart attack??

  • Amazing concept, and wonderfully timed in my opinion.

  • i didn't get the female and male symbols on the books why were there more male/ what did they stand for

  • The books represented the life spans of different people (i.e. male/female), thats why there were dates on the sides along with the symbols. The guy found his book and altered his life.

  • It was good, but it dragged on too much in my opinion.

  • this was really good

  • This is so good.. u should be a game producer not an movie animator dude =)

    Loved this one

  • I'd like to see this developed. Nothing I'd like to do more than undo key events from the story of my life. How bout getting rid of his heart condition next? Kudos on the concept btw

  • Very strange Oo

  • lol..i didnt get it but the concept and originality along with the graphics was FRICKEN HOT!!! lol seriously. The littlest effect (dust particles from sunlight in the beginning) to the biggest detail was definately on point! 5/5 stars without a doubt.

  • You are a person deprived, for life, of any understanding or taste for the main current of poetry that flows through all things, I feel sorry for you.

  • the story reminds me of the film 23 with jim carrey

  • nicely done, and well thought concept.

  • Actually If you were watching closely, he clutched his chest before he ever tore out the accident. We must assume that it is now 2031 and his time is due. He tears out the page of the wreck, and erases the handicap and the scar, but we are to see that it is still 2031 - the end of the book. He was able to remove one event and its consequences but unable to alter the eventual and final consequence of all life ... death.

  • @gtorem He don't look 83 years old, so it can't be 2031....

your idea is much more interesting, but in this video he changing the course of his life, bringing him to his own death.

  • @BL00DeMoN

Ah, but it doesn't need to be 2031. Since he changed all subsequent events in his life, something *else* killed him, earlier than expected.

  • i can't understand..

but i find it very real... the expression and the tension...

  • Very clever and heart pounding. There should be a movie similar to this.

  • loved it, great idea!

  • he looks like the hero in GTA 4. weird in a dramatic sort of way. it rocks

  • It was awsome I realy like it..

    Thnx Aniboom =D

  • well the point of it was he wasnt content to be alive,he wasnt thankful for living throught the carwreck, instead he still wanted to be able to walk its kinda sad anywho he tries changing what happened by removing the carwreck from the story of his life and thus he had a heart attack rather than simply losing the ability to walk

if you want to know the truth about the after life then click the link on my profile under

    -sgtoox

  • Well I dont think he had a heart attack yet, however I beleive he was about to.

  • It seems to me that he lost his mobility in a car accident, and trying to erase that part of his life ended up takin too much toll on his heart which inevitably caused him to have a heartattack and die.

  • .............

  • wow very creative I would never think of that.

  • Love it ! Love the concept, but I think it would be stronger if he tried to make many others changes in his life BEFORE he made the one too much...

  • what's it about i didint get it?

  • "Undo" is an animated story of a man who finds a book - story of his own life. He tries to change it, but by changing the book will he change his life?

  • good animation...good story...but hands are too small for that big head

  • I think so. the body's not proportional.

  • he shouldve died... it would be a bigger impact... at least i hope he deid

  • He did, didnt you watch the end?

  • yeah he did, I watched it without sound thats why. Very good!

  • what an amazing work!!!!!

  • good animation

  • Truly amazing work on the CG and the storyline. Great materiel for a full length movie.

  • Congratulations!

  • ...what is supposed to be like... going on?...

    I actually liked it.

    Big head though.

  • seems like his head's too big. maybe it's just me.

    other than that, cool flick.

  • I loved the concept for this film, i want this one to be a full-length film, like Final Fantasy VII

  • Great. It reminds me of the cinematic scenes in Driver games for PlayStation, which I always liked. The page ripping was cool, but where did the page go after he awoke?

  • the page never exist ´cause there was no accident, so...

  • This was incredible. Great theme for a movie.

  • Hw finds a book about his own life, as he reads through the part where he becomes handicapped through a carcraah, he tears the page out hoping it would eliminate the event from happenening.

  • wonderful graphics but I just didn't get the meaning of the clip.

  • i like that it was very detailed -- the insects on the books (at the beginning), the veins on his hand..

    everything from aniboom is awesome!

  • eveything theypost here, on their site almost everybody can post which declines the quality=(

  • everyone go see the pyrats one

    totally awesome

  • Who thinks of this stuff?? Totally awesome

  • platige.

  • totally amazing vid!;)

  • This video has been selected as one of the best Animation videos in YouTube. Thanks for sharing.

    Regards,

    bestofYTchannel

  • nice animation!

  • cool vid!!

  • crap, that is crazy stuff! WOW! thats amazing!

  • Holy sh*t THAT was awesome!

  • What do this animation, a videoclip of a Bjork song, one of the harry potter movies and the movie Pan's Labyrinth have in common? If you know what it is, please tell me if you know other movies/videos that also have "this" in it. Thanks. Bjorkvideo is on you tube search with word "BEACHELORETTE" to find it.

  • before even reading the tag i understood the show good and interesting

  • hold up is this all 100% animation?

  • lol, that just stupid, only using 3d when "necesary" and not because you "feel like it". haha,so its not for fun or for a hobbie?, get a life kiddo, the concept is really neat, he obviously went wrong in his life and ended up in a car accident running from the cops, he tried to change his stars and heal the scars but aparently its not that simple. the 3d worked great.

  • Just out of curiosity, did you read the "tag" or video description before writing this comment? And please be honest.

  • nope..being a genuine lover of the art of film making...this ws not a all a confusion..it's a clean slate dude! ; )

  • More power to you for being a "genuine lover of the art of film making." I still feel that he could have been a little clearer.

    ~ Adhish

  • its as a simple as u are a bit too dumb to understand wt happened...get a life..For hw loong have to been tracking this animation, with yr, retard like arguments...srry to say u hv NO scence of hw stories are made, told...a film always wrks when there's a bit left for the viewer to think..it's always the unsaid or the stuff not shown to u, which is key, is important, ties the ends.

    Go watch cartoon netwrk!

  • ...what?

  • Ah, yeah its turned in to a boast of knowledge apparently, "in my opinion" little shits like you guys who have "rules" for creating animations ruin it. this is a great animation.

  • If you're going to resort to ad hominem methods to try to win this debate, I'm afraid I'm going to have to shake my head in pity at the philistines who crowd the planet...

    ~ Adhish

  • wow, all the argument over a little animation clip

  • @_@ omg..... <3

  • Beautiful storytelling and a great idea! My compliments!

  • ode to the inevitable

    minimalistic and great

  • If the story were laid out in black & white for us, it wouldn't be as interesting.

  • It's not laying it out in black and white simply by telling us what the hell is happening. I simply asked him to be more clear as to the premise of the story, defining the boundaries of the film's world more clearly.

And another thing, this film would have been no less extraordinary if it had not been animated in 3D. The 3D is simply eye-candy that serves as a gilding for the rather flimsy concept and unintelligible story.

    Sorry for having an opinion.

    ~ Adhish
