He's tensing his throat up to get that high squeely sound. He seems to actually be in my range, when he speaks, and I'm a baritone. I was just singing along with it by tensing up the throat, basically mimicing a squeeky voice and it sounded like this. Not saying it's a bad style of singing, I tend to like that sound but I hope that he isn't actually doing what I was doing because he could ruin his voice.
