As you can see - the bar on the right features lots of GOOGLE videos with titles saying the following (or some) ; introducing, getting started, first look, what is an app (what is google, OMFG), how to eg. open up a webbrowser . Its all GAY.

GOOGLE!!! Please put more time into "Create application shortcuts". Study why Prism although crude and incomplete, was more powerful than what chrome is offering. This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. THE BROWSER AND TAB BAR ARE FOR WEB BROWSING.

@Daghead I partially agree, the Chrome Web Store is brilliant. Complete suites and apps totally free at a click of the mouse, and you don't even need OSX or a Mac.

However that being said, Prism is really amazing also. I really liked how the shortcuts became applications and you could install them on your Dock, or as a shortcut on your toolbar in Windows etc. I think in the future, as this is the future, we will see this and it will be taken further.

There are established methodologies about what works and what doesn't, what is enhancing and what is distracting, when it comes to gestures while addressing an audience. I'm assuming many instructional videos have the same gestures because the producers of said videos are aware of the same methodology that every other public speaker uses.

I don't like how the apps were above the most visited sites. I bet it would confuse my dad although I was pleased to see that he had set his own browser theme to aston martin style.

If there was a grooveshark app, would the controls be able to pop up when browsing the web like the chat in chromeos?

@contourman there is already a chrome extension for grooveshark controls... I have grooveshark as a pinned tab all the time and that extension, works great!

@MASterG369 you're right. however some apps from google, for example gmail or docs, with google gears can run also off-line. in google chrome (browser) gears is yet installed, so I think it's installed also in chrome os.

It looks like Google are trying to move towards being Microsoft as far as the browser is concerned. Notice the use of the term "our licensing server". Developers should be able to write an application once and have it run anywhere, not be tethered to specific browsers or licensing servers.

B) You can use their store with a custom payment processor/licensing scheme

what else do you want?

IMO it's a great offer and it has a lot of potential. I'll probably port one of my apps to it and see how it goes. :)

@motters2001 If you already have a web app, lots of people visit it, and you already have a way to sell this app online and collect the money, you're already good-to-go. What Google is creating here is a framework to draw attention to web apps, an easy system to collect money for paid apps, etc... I'm not sure how making a system that makes things easier for developers and is optional... is somehow something worth complaining about. Good job.
