  • id get in so much trouble with these lol

  • still sale this siren?????

  • very similar to the British Premier Hazard 6 series

  • i wouldnt pay 2 bucks for that shit

  • this sounds like Premier Hazard 6700D :)

  • I think this is the official siren of British police..That and the old twin horns HEE AWW HEE AWW..Of which I prefer the 2 tone better XD.

  • TOPP

  • british panda car siren lol best 1 goin!!

  • Lovin' the horn!

  • The yelp and hyper-yelp sound good, but I'm not sure I like the wail.

  • i don't like this rontan model... maybe because i prefer the whelen brand..

    no hi-lo mode? why?

  • Nice siren indeed. Love that air horn! It sounds like a Code 3 V-Con with a European accent.

  • Sounds like just another siren to me. I'll take a Carson with the mech sound.

  • i like the buttons setup...jus wish had diff manual settings tho.

  • a knock off code 3 siren....the air horn is a whelen.

  • Pretty neat. The high end of the wail sounds like Code 3, otherwise these siren tones sound distinctly different to my ear.

  • Ah, this siren was used on most British Ambulances from around 1999-2003, if memory serves me correctly.

And if you ever played Need For Speed 4 you'll recognise the Yelp as being the UK track police siren.

  • That was "Premier Hazard"

But this Rontan sounds 90% similar to Premier hazard

  • actually that siren is made in Brasil, it is almost the same as Premier Hazard, the wail and yelp are almost the same, and the Hyelp looks like from Code3 sirens.

  • sounds more like the old fire engine/police car siren?

  • Really nice siren. I've never heared about this siren brand but it has really nice tones, especially the horn and hyper-yelp. Good.

  • Thats a pretty nice siren.

  • I wouldn't want this POS in any ambulance I'm driving. And what's with people thinking certain types of electronic sirens are for certain types of vehicles?!

  • This is a Brazillian brand, it makes sirens for several Police forces here in Brazil.

  • That's a rather interesting configuration. Tones sound rather European, and that programming is rather offbeat (I couldn't understand how the manual wail works). But what baffles me is that low/high power indicator. What is it for?

  • It does have sort of European accent, I have to agree. Can't get a hold of manual yet, but it seems that HI/LOW indicators go along with the pitch of the siren tone. Take Wail for instance, it begins with low tone and once almost reaches top peak the indicator flips to HI, same with other half of the cycle, when tone is halfway towards low peak the indicator flips again to LOW, and over it goes.

  • As I watch it, you might be right, but there's a distinct lag time while it's being used. I can't help but to point out that it doesn't flicker in Yelp and, obviously, Hyper. Then again, it could just be a little toy to watch, or maybe the manufacturer just wants people to argue over what it's for :p

  • Maybe they want people to know that a wail is hi-lo as well.

  • That is a cool siren. The air horn is awesome! The wail and yelp sound like they're from a toy I had as a kid.

  • Similar to British Premier Hazard siren

  • Thanks Ben, I'm planning to upload a brand new Whelen siren later on today.

  • Cool, that is a brazilian siren... :D

  • cool special wail sound! is rotan is a new brand from usa? very nice video with clear sounds.

  • The website tells that all Rontan North America Products are assembled and serviced in the U.S.

Setup is a lot like Whelen 295 Series :)

  • @canadaleds actually is an old brand from Brazil, now they are going to USA

  • @Cyrussm Thanks for info

  • @canadaleds Its based out of Brazil is what the spokesman for Rontan told me at IACP the convention staff had to tell the display people to tone down some of the products because it was too bright. I think this sounds way better then that powercall crap.

  • reminds me of a code 3

  • please! tell me! wat song is this!!!!???

  • song is credited at the end.

  • Nice siren, yelp sounds similar to the EQ2B yelp

  • I'm sorry but I have to dissaggree (sp)

It sounds like Code 3 tones with a Whelen Airhorn

  • i only really like the yelp XD horn isnt that bad

    Great demo. 5/5
