  • The Pope is the reason the bible is the one book that holds all those qualities you listed. His church destroyed other scriptures or has them locked up.

  • It would be interesting to know what other collections of similar proportions existed before the inquisitions, witchburnings and crusades.

  • I'm not sure what you're saying. Proportions of bibles? Proportion of evidences? Proportion of believers? Proportion of sinners? Just curious.

  • The bible is a collection of works. I'm wondering about other collections of the proportions of the bible in regards to the ones presented in the video. It's fine to say it is the only one but would it still be had the inquisition, witchburnings and crusades not happened?

  • I see what you mean now.

I know many times people forget that there have been kings and leaders world wide who have tried to destroy the bible but have failed over and over again. In fact, even now it is outlawed in many countries and it is in those countries where the bible thrives. This is just one more reason to believe it's divine origin.

  • Oh yes. Thank god for the pope for slaughtering millions of non-believers and burning heretical writings more ancient than the books of Moses. That'll learn 'em.

  • I agree. What the pope did was horrendous and it should never happen again but this why I don't follow the pope. I follow Jesus and his example, which is why the bible is so important. I don't follow blindly and anyone that does, isn't following Jesus as bible says we should.

  • Great job reelverse. I also respect the way you explain in text to unbelievers. May God bless you. Jim

  • The Holey Babble also claims that Yahweh is weaker than an army of Iron chariots, open up judges 1:19 (some modern english translations obscured this, but open up the hebrew version, it says that god was wityh Judah, and he couldnt drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had iron Chariots)

  • Nice try 1ceDagg3r. I read it and the first 18 verses before 19 all refer to Judah (Y@huwdah in Hebrew) doing the action and in a few verses it mentions that God was with him. The verses after talk about other people but not God. In verse 19 it says he (Y@huwdah) couldn't win because of the iron chariots. I did read the Hebrew.

Nice try. I've never heard that argument but I'll be ready to answer it next time someone tries this argument. Thanks.

I doubt this changes much for you though.

  • ויהיה יהוה את יהודה (and god was with Judah)

וירש את ההר כי לא להוריש את ישבי העמק כי רכב ברזל להם (he drove out the inhabitants of the mountain, but he couldnt drive out the inhabitants of the valley for they have iron chariots)

it clearly states god WAS WITH JUDAH but HE couldnt drive out the valley people because they had iron chariots

  • Grammatically, the pronoun refers to the last mentioned noun. The last one mentioned was Judah. Further more, in Old Testament times it was believed that if you lost a battle it was because God wasn't with you. However, this wasn't the case with Judah which is why it is explicitly stated that the reason for his loss wasn't God's absence but Judah's inability to deal with his opponents strength and technology.

  • the beginning of the verse says that GOD WAS WITH JUDAH 9we are under the assumption that he can tear apart some lame iron chariots) but then it says "could not drive out the inhabitants of the valleys because they had chariots of iron"

the verse doesnt say anything about judah being disobedient- it says that Yahweh was with judah but they still lost

well, i suppose even yahweh is out of shape sometimes :\

  • please reread my previous comment. I didn't say that God wasn't with Judah, I stated that not winning a battle usually meant God was against you or not with you. In this case the author wanted to be sure that two things were absolutely clear: Judah lost the battle and God was still with him. Then reason for Judah's loss is given: they had iron chariots. Judah couldn't do it win, but God was still with him.

  • so Even with God's help, Judah still couldnt win? i thought god was strong and everything :\

  • Yes. Even with God we don't always get what we want. Sometimes he will let us fail. I know I don't let me kids get everything they want and I do let them fail even though I have the power to help because they must learn to trust me, ask me or just learn how to take failure.

  • i thought your bible said he is omnipotent?

  • Omnipotent yes. In fact, the idea of being omnipotent means that He can do what he wants without having to explain it to us or even benefit us. He is not our servant. Bad things will happen even though he is with us.

  • again, we have a dead end here- bible says he was WITH THEM and they still failed, you can say 'well he didnt really try" while it is only an assumption, the bible clearly states he helped them and they still failed, thus he isnt that strong

  • sure.

  • reelverse (Grammatically, the pronoun refers to the last mentioned noun.? what a non sense !!

no it refer to the first character in this case God !

beside God WAS WITH = together how come he did not help him?

also does your god keep for company someone like judah who sleep with prostitutes?

like he did with Tammar who produced a bastard out of the illegal sex with Judah?

this Bastard is called Pharez and he is the great great father of your jesus? what a blood line your jesus have?

  • The biggest way to prove the veracity of the Bible is to trace how its keywords are used. Each subsequent Bible author has to thread the doctrines of all prior holy writ into his own new book to prove he got the new information from God; he does this via keyword usage. I'm busy now re-translating 1Jn by this tracking method, for John was the last Bible writer, and knew that. You can only do this keyword tracing from the original langs. It blows me away, how deftly John does that.

  • I have to say I admire your balls. Without a single contradiction eh? the geneologies of Jesus in Matthew 1:1 and Luke 3:23 are almost completly different and they are supposedly written by two people who knew each other. factor in the problems with translation, ancient literacy rates etc. Its full of errors.

  • Thank you for your admiration.

The two genealogies of Jesus are not completely different. In fact most of Matthew's is in Luke's. The reason they split at one point is because Matthew gives the physical descendants and Luke give the legal descendants because Jesus was not the son of Joseph so by law Jesus had to be retraced through Mary's dad. So much for "almost completely different".

Good try though. Give me another one. That was fun!

  • It's one example. How did you come across the Legal and physical descendants part anyhow as there is nothing, with the possible exception of the Qur'an, that you can cross reference the Bible with.

  • It's in the Old Testament. When Moses is parceling out land to groups according to their male lineage, a group of daughters with no husbands asked Moses what they would receive? He said he would pray and get back to them. Finally, God spoke to Moses and established a legal lineage through the adoption of a daughter's husband. This law applied to Jesus' lineage.

  • So your reference is the Bible, again?

  • You know that the Old Testment was written long before the New. So when you ask why something is done in the New Testament, the only logical resource is the Old. Should I consult the Qur'an for why Jesus' lineage is different? Honestly, what other sources are there about Jewish laws than the Old Testament? Let me know. I'd be glad to read it.

  • AHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHA without a single contradiction?

    funny

the bible claims taht the earth is flat, held by pillars, and that the sun revolves around the earth

it contradicts itself endlessly- check out the genesis story- first, nature (plants and animals) were created BEFORE MAN and after that, it says that man was created BEFORE THE NATURAL WORLD

so dont go around saying it has no contradictions, because that is either ignorance, or a flat out lie

  • Show me where it says that and then we can talk.

  • Thank you . Nice reminder.

  • Amen, the holy bible is the only truth!

  • I'll do the best I can

  • And on top of that: Now is my summerholiday of 8 weeks. I'll have many boring moments in my holiday, that's for sure. I experienced that I commit sins earlier when I'm bored and have a computer in the area. I can't change how the circomstances are right now. Seems like I'm just gonna have to face them and resist them every day again.

  • Do what ever it takes. God will honor your choices for Him.

  • I enjoyed your video,

    GOD BLESS YOU!

  • thank you.

  • Like a month ago I started to read my Bible. I believe strongly in my God, but the only problem is: I cannot obey him (yet). I'm full of sins every day again. I just can't help it. I've been trying to stop for over a year, but... I can't.

  • I know it's hard to obey. I struggle with obedience every day. I've found it helpful to memorize verses that help me to remember what I should be doing. Keep trying. God already knows we are not perfect but he wants us to try every moment of every day. We all struggle.

But you don't get it... I am a teenager and like many teenagers my mormones start working and I stimulate easily. That's why this is an extremely hard period for me.

  • and history is VERY important. Deism spread through this country and Europe during the 18th and 19th century and is still around. They deny God acts in human history. Christians in ages past on the other hand believe He does and the Bible is also a history book but more of a theological history. To understand much of it you have to understand the historical context otherwise it is just a novel given new meaning each day. Does that make sense?

  • Chrislferl - Not just Catholics but the Orthodox Christian Churches (over 1.3 billion Christians) also and also some Protestant Churches. But that is part of the point. Can we just after 1500 years start to think parts of scripture are not the inspired word of God, call it apocrypha, and then remove it. Then we would be admitting the Bible wasn't always the inspired word of God.

  • Hi ChulaKirby,

Sorry for not responding earlier but I wanted to do research on it before responding. From what I read the Septuagint translators debated on it's canonicity in the Old Testament. Since then it's been in question. However, that's more history than anything else.

The point is if we fail to obey God's command, does that make it untrue or have we just failed to understand. See our inability to follow doesn't change what is or isn't true. The Bible is true.

  • Great video. I love your style and sound effects. However, if truth is absolute and does not and cannot change and the Bible is the truth, how is it that it changed? Did the truth change? What I am making reference too is that the Bible use to have more than 66 books up until 500 years ago when some of the Bible was declared untrue and removed.

  • What changes are you referring too? Was there a council or something?

  • Hi Chula - you are referring to the apocrypha - which were never actually considered to be on the same standing or authority of the 66 books. THe Catholic Church holds them in high esteem, but beyond them, I think they are considered much lower than scripture. reelverse-Mac rules - LOL - I have the same program - though I am just starting to use it.

  • awesome - enjoyed it very much; as a youth leader for about 15 years, this is a format that definitely would get the youth's attention - continue to be blessed!

  • i love this Hallelujah/

  • Great job, thanks!

  • Nice video

  • the questione you asked: the answer is in john 1:1.

The Word of God is Jesus, that HE came to earth to die for our sins and rise from death to give us eternal life. The bible is different because it is Gods Word.

How you word that if you decide to add that thought to your video is up to you.

    keep up the good work

  • I would add that the bible has one theme: Jesus

  • I thought about that. Where would you add it?

  • Go get high on God. Get in His word ask him to reveal himself and don't give up. He will if your willing!!

  • Great video. It catches and keeps your attention. Yes, we are all sinners that not only need to read this book , but heed this book. Keep up the good work.

  • Great presentation , good background sound need more conviction for get sinners to read the BOOK!

  • We are all sinners that need to read this book, but do you have any suggestions?

  • Well done. Very True and right.

  • I liked the music and the change in music. The hammering sounds too high pitch for my liking. Without contradiction? There are a few things in the bible that don't jive. I would recommend... many voices speaking and all are saying one truth...

  • Name something that doesn't jive. I read the bible three times and I haven't come across anything like that yet. I would love to hear some.

  • That was awesome.
