Most of those people think that the charger is a pos,and that the bmw is better in every way....they don't know the history of either car...the olympia charger run le mans in the 70's,virtually a full nascar stocker with rudimentary suspension and live axle on back but a torque monster engine and the M1 end up running the procar challenge in the 80's because it was too heavy for the class it was built for..either car is amazing in its own terms...just my opinion..

driver of this charger was afraid to drive it hard or maybe had little or no experience around this track... early braking, late and too careful acceleration, not revving high enough. Other thing is what kind of setup Charger had... maybe it had a completely locked diff, which makes tight cornering tricky. There can be many possibilities of why it gone slower, despite having more power.

dodge charger gets over taken by all and sundry decent cars, would be a better title, I would image the charger, would have to have been heavily modified to get it to handle as well as it's doing here. It's obvious that the yanks will like the big V8's and the euro trash will like the BM's and porches, auto makers aren't stoopid they know their markets, so US car companies design cars for the US, and Euro companies design for Europe

@HEMImusclecar utah salt flats thats going in a straight line and im pretty sure that the highest top speed on a stock muscle car is the 'vette ZR1 with 201 and mcleren f1s top speed is 241, the bugatti veyron super sport is 265, and a koenigsegg CCXR edition is 254 so us muscle doesnt rule on anything.
