Man I miss those times when this first came out.. I would listen to this shit back in school in 8th grade.. I would do anything to go back to them times once more.
@Zero14811111 You don't understand the difference between dick-riding and respect. Game understands that without the people and albums he's mentioning he wouldnt have a chance to find the success he has now.
@hormamma LOL, he is saying alot more, seriously - expand your mind.. Go listen to his 1000+ songs and than come tell me if he is Lyrical.. Also when you come back, let me know exactly how more consistent he was and still is than ANYONE you can name Mos, Kweli.. Anyone.. This guy has been holding the left coast on his back for 7 years now - SOLO, listen to RED - he STILL sounds JUST as hungry as here, he NEVER lost it..
This is one of the greatest debut hip-hop albums ever but people dont understand west-cost rap isnt JUST about making words rhyme its about the lyrics themselves, the meaning behind it all and thats where The Game is so amazing.
@CCR12345678910 well i dont see any more meaning than "look at me, I had a hard life and im still alive, and I dont give a fuck about what u think about it, and im gangsta and cool"
I like the music though, and if there are more about the lyrics than I just said, please enlight me.
@hormamma LOL... Did you listen at all? Here is one of the first lines "But even myself tote a gun and know to run to get shot ive been there before, Now im fuckin with doc".. Uhhh, I hope you understand, if not go play on the highway with oncoming traffic. How do you idiots call this bad music? Have you heard what the last few years of fucking lame ass fads have filled our ears with? Alot of rap is shity, but you picked the wrong song and nearly entire ALBUM.. FUCK music snobs.
I love the hook in this song, how he takes classic album titles and makes them into a sentence that makes sense.. Fredro Starr does the same thing in "Thug Warz" 1st verse. If you know ur hip hop albums you'll notice over 15 album titles in 16 bars. check it out its a classic verse in my opinion
The Documentary in my opinion is the best hip-hop album to date, from a rapper that never forgets where he comes from, a great role model/dad, one of the best lyricists of all time and he makes it all look so easy, i have nothing but the upmost respect for this dude, one love.
the game know what the fuck he is talking about and i hope that he doesnt go into mainstream i hope that he stops before that or just keeps going on real shit.
any of you who say game sucks, do you know a better or self confident rapper than The Game in 2000's, he took great risk by making gangsta rap at this time because as Dr.Dre said in the past gangsta rap is dead!! only someone like The Game makes me listen to gangsta shit these days. If 50 had a gangsta styleit would probably suck, he got no passion in his lyrics, he is just an other poser, he made wealth over EM, and DRE... nothin more than that, but The Game proved his quality even after DRE.
@bblad3r the game raps like a motherfucker but he isn't self confident the l.a tattoo was a cover up for his butterfly tattoo he just covered it up because people made fun of him lol..
OMG EVERYBODY HAS EVERY OTHER INSTRUMENTAL OF SOMETHIN BUT THEY DONT HAVE ONE FOR THIS ONE!!! if you are a GREAT! instrumental maker or wateva can you please make it and share it with me or you know a website or someone can make it can you please message me
Game will always get my respect cuz of the body of work he has put together Untold Story, Documentary, Doc Advocate, LAX we're all real.... but he doesnt realize he is NOW just like 50. always just talkin shit and startin shit. When Game got in the game, he was humble and intelligent with his raps. I was really disappointed in RED. He is more capable of that and more intelligent.
Why does everyone say The Game is so great? I just dont get it... His lyrics are very average and overall this track (at least) sounds like garbage compared to all the albums he mentions in the chorus. Does anyone know how The Game started rapping? Heres the story: He woke up from a coma at that time with no career aspirations and just decided he was going to 'become a gangsta rapper' and so he listened to doggystyle etc and went out and got rich.
@DevourTheDarkness You are wrong for hatin on the game am not even gonna bother talkin about his lyrical talent and acting talent and so on...stop the hating and embrace realness bra.
@DevourTheDarkness You are wrong for hatin on the game am not even gonna bother talkin about his lyrical talent and acting talent and so on...stop the hating and embrace realness bra.
@DevourTheDarkness I doubt thats how he started. There is a track on this album saying how he started rapping. I havent followed game after this album but this joint right here is DOPEEEE and I say so because of the beats and he did alot of name dropping (not that thats a good thing) and it really felt like a hip hop history lesson. I never had listened to Dogg food by THA DOGG POUND until I heard The Games album. To date thats one of my favorite albums ever. and he came at Jay..I like that
@upinposting well i think the beat sounds like pots and pans being banged together. i mostly like g funk though thats probably why. and read early career on his wikipedia article
@DevourTheDarkness I can understand what your saying now that you mention the lack of G funk. This definitely isnt a traditional West Coast album, it actually sounds alot like a east coast album and I think it was made to sound like that. Thats one of the things I really liked about it too.
Its definitely no dogg food in respects to that G funk sound. Im from NY so thats prob another reason I enjoyed the beats so much. I first heard him on Talib Kweli's beautiful struggle mixtapes 1 and 2
@DevourTheDarkness It's not only lyrics that intrigue me to a rapper. I admire "Game's" consistent hardcore West Coast style. He was probably the last major rapper who consistently stuck with a vicious flow. I won't try to debate with you about "The Game" because you actually seem like another East Coast bigot: So you won't like him anyway. I've noticed that a lot of Hip-Hop/Rap fans on the East Coast only focus on the lyricism of a rapper: There is more to rap than just great word play.
Despite the fact that not everyone from Southern California has been directly exposed to racial tensions between blacks and orientals, they are more influenced and affected by it than others.
For example, a suburban kid in Michigan may not live in Detroit, but the effects of crime there are more resounding to him than someone in, say, Wisconsin.
@sllipful How? And how would you know how much anything emotionally/mentally affects anyone except yourself: Especially if the person in question is a stranger to you? The human mind is too dynamic: So stop trying to simplify it to mere geography. A person in Wisconsin may possibly have family in Detroit: So the crime in Detroit would have an affect on that person more than it would the random child in Michigan: Especially if the only relation is that the child in Michigan simply lives nearby.
@sllipful I fail to see how merely living in, around or nearby a particular atmosphere/event automatically means that you are affected/influenced by it. I not only disagree with that logic but: I find it laughable. It seems similar to the assumption that all Californians are affected by the "Bloods" & "Crips" when in actuality a large portion of the California population have little if any experience/knowledge about either: They just live in a state where these gangs affect certain areas.
Your inability to grasp this concept is far more laughable than anything else. Look at your own life...are you not affected by your environment? You are a product of your environment.
I am making the argument that people in Southern California have a better idea of what racial tension between blacks and Asians is and MOST (not all) people outside of CA are unable to comprehend this.
@sllipful Your argument is inconsistent. Being a "Product Of Your Environment" doesn't exactly make you more knowledgeable on the issues facing your surroundings. Being a "Product Of Your Environment" just means that you are/were affected by the conditions influencing the circumstances of your environment. You're arguing that people outside of Southern California can't comprehend the racial tensions between Blacks & Orientals just because they're not from Southern California: Which is false.
@sllipful I don't believe that everyone allows their surroundings to control them: So not everyone sees themselves as just a "Product Of Their Environment". You make it seem as if the nature of your surroundings fundamentally determines the type of person you are/will become: Which I don't believe. As I wrote before: The human mind is too dynamic: So simplifying it down to mere geography should offend any person with a mind of their own.
Simplifying it down to mere geography allows us to get a better idea of what each person has been exposed to. Surely this is not as objective as we would like it to be, but it serves as an excellent method to start such an examination.
Regardless of your personal feelings, the majority of people would agree that your environment is key in developing you as a person. A person from Mexico would be entirely different had he been adopted by a family in Boston.
@sllipful Another problem with your argument is that your presuming too much. You're presuming that people from Southern California are more cognizant on racial tensions between Blacks & Orientals than people who aren't from Southern California simply because they're not from Southern California; I disagree with that logic. Southern California isn't the only place with racial tensions between Blacks & Orientals. You also continue to speak for everyone in Southern California: Speak for yourself.
@DevourTheDarkness you dont know why he's so great you just said he went from nothing just coming out of a coma and then became an idol to many and got rich? not to mention he's a lyrical genious fuck the haters. GAME 4 life
@DevourTheDarkness lol this post is so real you dont even know. i grew up with game in CARSON. not compton CARSON. lol, im happy that he managed to make himself a millionaire though
@DevourTheDarkness i dont understand why you wastin your time searchin for game songs just to hate on him. if you dont like his music, dont listen to it
@DevourTheDarkness why do all da bitches say yo dick is so small? probably cause its true dawg... the game IS a gangsta rappa, and all people who know good rap will agree wit me on diz one
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has found a version of this song without the intro. If you have then please inform me when you can.
I've created playlists on here so that I can be active on other sites while listening to music. I'm trying to evade the act of skipping the intro each time this song comes up.
I just thought I'd let you know before I received unhelpful responses instructing me to just skip the intro. So again, If anyone can help me out; I'd appreciate it.
I like the hook; The whole song is so meaningful. I want to add this song to my "The Game" playlist along with his other tracks I appreciate.
But, What bothers me about this song is the intro. IDC much about the kid cursing or whatever may disturb some other people. The intro doesn't disturb me in that way. I think the intro is meant to be funny but, It's just not funny to me. I just want to hear the song.
I've yet to find a version of this song without the intro which is unfortunate for me.
@TheEvilManiac If you use itunes, you could just let it play from the moment this song starts. This version is the version from the album so if this intro was on the album you'll prob never find any intro-less version.
@Babyfacedblackjesus I wrote the problem I had with the intro. It's just not funny to me. I'd rather just hear the song without the intro.
I'm over it though. If I don't feel like hearing it, I'll skip it; Other times I just go through it.
I'm sure other people think the intro makes the song "More interesting" too but, Hearing kids cursing the way the boy in the intro was, Isn't new to me; I hear kids talk that way often. So the intro is just like an extra unnecessary conversation for me.
@Babyfacedblackjesus It's not just the intro of this song though. I generally prefer songs without the intro skit anyway. I still like the song, I was just searching for a version without the intro skit. I gave up looking for it though, Doesn't seem worth the effort.
Game intentionally included that. It highlights racial tension between African Americans and Asians in Los Angeles. That intro is fit for this song because this song focuses on struggle's of Game himself and the intro is a mirror to that.
He did not include that in there for the hell of it. It was there to serve a purpose and it does. Only someone from Southern California can truly understand the importance of that intro.
@sllipful I know that "Game" intentionally added it. You must''ve missed the comment I wrote stating that I've moved on & even added it to my playlist. The intro is still annoying to me but: I skip it when I don't feel like listening to it.
"Only someone from Southern California can truly understand the importance of that intro" Lol, How? Simply being from Southern California doesn't make you cognizant. Not everyone in Southern California experienced racial tensions between Blacks & Orientals.
@lonelynoname91 You are wrong for dissing the Game like that!Game has serious hits that i think you dont even know boy are you serious?just let me know ill send you some tracks maybe theyll stop you from crying on the net like a little chiwawa lol.
The Game, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Dr. Dre are the only living rappers who have not sold their souls and started singing about women and drugs. Instead, they rap about shit that matters, like the hard life that ppl face in the hood. All the rest of the authentic rappers, like Biggie, Tupac, Proof, and Bugs, are dead, which just shows how fucked up things are.
@kleviprenga No, you got it all wrong. What you need to say is fuck Albania! I know you are retarded people, but you need to understand that 90% of heroin comes from albania, you kill each other and Serbs, Gypsies and other people, steal other countries territories, never take shower etc... Prime minister of Kosovo is one of the worst criminals, selling people's organs, drugs... So, let's face it, you are not people, you are lower class. Really, nobody respects you, you just are not worth it.
@43saywhat23 i think you dont hear much the news cause every year more albanian students are getting credited as the best students in the best universities in europe and in the U.S.A. so i dont think you can call us retarded. about the heroine we don't use it ourselves but sell it to desperate people abroad in particular in the balkans so shut the hell up
@kleviprenga No I didn't hear that, because it isn't true. I heard about Serb mathematicians, who win every single olimpic medal, some of my friends, I heard about best Serb students in the world, inventers, Nikola Tesla, about Serb sportsman like Novak Djokovic, basketball, valley ball and water polo WORLD CHAMPIONS, about Croat water polo crew, mathematicians. But I heard that just yesterday 73 albanians got arrested for selling heroin in New York (not 7 or 3).
@43saywhat23 albanians always have suffered and now they're trying to get out of their swarm. i don't like them using illegal ways but what can i do. we are a nation of courageous men and i will always say "I AM PROUD TO BE ALBANIAN"
@kleviprenga About them students, 23 of my friends are in best collages in Swizerland, Belgium, USA, France etc... 23 of them! And I am going to get scolarship too, and go to master studies next year in England! My point IS that you should use your heroin yourselves, not sell it to other people. And you think it's a good thing to sell it??! Yeah, I watch the news. Will you answer me please about organs-selling by Hashim Tachi or what's his name? What students? Come on...
@43saywhat23 about hashim thaci they're just speculations from serbians to convince the united nations that kosovo doesn't deserve to be an independent state. it's not worthy to discuss about it because we have different history books and different medias so it's obvious that we will never agree. selling drugs is the only way to get money for a part of the population because of our corupted government. for the ones abroad who can't find a job it's the only way to send money to their beloved.

TheEvilManiac 5 months ago
I like the hook; The whole song is so meaningful. I want to add this song to my "The Game" playlist along with his other tracks I appreciate.
But, What bothers me about this song is the intro. IDC much about the kid cursing or whatever may disturb some other people. The intro doesn't disturb me in that way. I think the intro is meant to be funny but, It's just not funny to me. I just want to hear the song.
I've yet to find a version of this song without the intro which is unfortunate for me.
TheEvilManiac 5 months ago
@TheEvilManiac If you use itunes, you could just let it play from the moment this song starts. This version is the version from the album so if this intro was on the album you'll prob never find any intro-less version.
BrawlPwnage 5 months ago
@TheEvilManiac Whats wrong with the intro bro?it actually makes it more interesting.
Babyfacedblackjesus 5 months ago 4

@TheEvilManiac The intro is from another video up here on YouTube. Just search "Black Kid Wants His Change"
Drpepperrock31 4 months ago
@TheEvilManiac
LA>Everything else!
sllipful 4 months ago
@sllipful I know that "Game" intentionally added it. You must''ve missed the comment I wrote stating that I've moved on & even added it to my playlist. The intro is still annoying to me but: I skip it when I don't feel like listening to it.
"Only someone from Southern California can truly understand the importance of that intro" Lol, How? Simply being from Southern California doesn't make you cognizant. Not everyone in Southern California experienced racial tensions between Blacks & Orientals.

@43saywhat23 fuck you and everyone who hates albania
kleviprenga 7 months ago
@kleviprenga No, you got it all wrong. What you need to say is fuck Albania! I know you are retarded people, but you need to understand that 90% of heroin comes from albania, you kill each other and Serbs, Gypsies and other people, steal other countries territories, never take shower etc... Prime minister of Kosovo is one of the worst criminals, selling people's organs, drugs... So, let's face it, you are not people, you are lower class. Really, nobody respects you, you just are not worth it.
43saywhat23 7 months ago
@43saywhat23 i think you dont hear much the news cause every year more albanian students are getting credited as the best students in the best universities in europe and in the U.S.A. so i dont think you can call us retarded. about the heroine we don't use it ourselves but sell it to desperate people abroad in particular in the balkans so shut the hell up
kleviprenga 7 months ago
@kleviprenga No I didn't hear that, because it isn't true. I heard about Serb mathematicians, who win every single olimpic medal, some of my friends, I heard about best Serb students in the world, inventers, Nikola Tesla, about Serb sportsman like Novak Djokovic, basketball, valley ball and water polo WORLD CHAMPIONS, about Croat water polo crew, mathematicians. But I heard that just yesterday 73 albanians got arrested for selling heroin in New York (not 7 or 3).
43saywhat23 7 months ago
@43saywhat23 albanians always have suffered and now they're trying to get out of their swarm. i don't like them using illegal ways but what can i do. we are a nation of courageous men and i will always say "I AM PROUD TO BE ALBANIAN"
kleviprenga 7 months ago
@kleviprenga About them students, 23 of my friends are in best collages in Swizerland, Belgium, USA, France etc... 23 of them! And I am going to get scolarship too, and go to master studies next year in England! My point IS that you should use your heroin yourselves, not sell it to other people. And you think it's a good thing to sell it??! Yeah, I watch the news. Will you answer me please about organs-selling by Hashim Tachi or what's his name? What students? Come on...
43saywhat23 7 months ago
@43saywhat23 about hashim thaci they're just speculations from serbians to convince the united nations that kosovo doesn't deserve to be an independent state. it's not worthy to discuss about it because we have different history books and different medias so it's obvious that we will never agree. selling drugs is the only way to get money for a part of the population because of our corupted government. for the ones abroad who can't find a job it's the only way to send money to their beloved.
kleviprenga 7 months ago
