I've one question, when those mines explode, is the lava that appears after that just lava exposed from under the track? You know, like... when the mines explode, they make a hole. Or is it somehow just mines with lava stored in them?

@rupertsfromhell Out of all the games in the F-Zero franchise, I think Maximum Velocity is one of the lesser known ones, which could somewhat explain it.

It takes place years after the original series (Meaning, the original racers probably don't participate by that time). However, this is non-canon. I kinda liked it (underrated, in my opinion), but I really don't think this is an actual installment to the series. This being said, I still prefer the original over this one.

You didn't even bother with this game did you? Just played for a few minutes and gave up right?

Their were 4 cars initially and you could unlock several more (including an MK II version of the Blue Falcon).

They tried a new generation type of deal to infuse new flavor into the game. But like SFIII, it didn't work well enough.

Because it didn't get big enough and popular enough. I loved this game, but even I have to face the facts that the concept of Maximum Velocity didn't catch-on except for people like us who are in the minority.

@metaXzero lol then again this game was non-canon they probably went back considering there is a captain falcon 2. there is alot of vids on this game and also it does tend to be very popular otherwise why did the guy who said there was only 4 cars commented in the video even he knows the game exists whil being that dumb

Compare the views, amount of comments, and amount of vids to other F-Zero games. You'll notice a big gap with this game on the lower end of the amount

My point is simply this game wasn't popular enough. It didn't get as big and popular as the F-Zero games before it OR after it.

The Captain Falcon in this game "claims" to be the son/desendent of the original. But no one knows if thats the truth or if he is just trying to cash in on the name of Falcon.

As for the canonicity of this game, IDK. Don't think GX contradicted it.

@aetheora What the fuck? 4 racers? it has the four first ones, but also you can unlock Sly Joker, Fire Stingray, Silver Thunder, Falcon MkII, Fighting Comet and the awesome Jet Vermilion, this one probably is the ship that makes the game having the most espectacular pilot system, it's hard and faster as hell, also this game have probably the greatest charisma i've ever seen in an F-Zero game, both with "X".

Actually, their are 2 Fire Fields in this game

Fire Field: Minefield Circuit (self explanatory).

Fire Field: Warrior Circuit (Stuff from various courses).

Can't remember exactly how to get Queen Circuit. Think ya just gotta beat the 3 circuits on Expert.
