@MegamanX4ThArmor They're mollusks, so, they can be out of water a bit longer than a fish. I don't know if they can breathe out of water or underwater or both, though. Octopus have brains which are larger than ours, and the mental capacity of a four or five year old (for an octopus, this is a big deal), so it was probably curious about all of the humans.

It has to be that large, otherwise, the blue-ring wouldn't be able to change color and texture. Imagine how fast a chameleon could change its color if it's head was as big as ours.

@Rldband1 They do breathe oxygen, that's what gills are actually for, to filter it from the water. The octopus can also simply breathe through it's mouth on it's underside.
