another guy who knows everything hahaha in a parking lot plowin snow i'd hope there not haulin ass in a parkin lot lmao but then again what do i know just another guy in the world
These guys are obviously both professional plowers............. they are taking their time and not staving the trucks up. Youtube is loaded with morons that are plowing 3X as fast as they should be . There are very few videos on here where I would actually consider hiring the drivers but I cant say that here............. I would hire either of these guys in a HEARTBEAT!
@parkerguns agreed. The ONLY time I put the screws to it is the final pass near the curb to throw the snow up over the curb. Other than that, going fast is just asking for damages, broken trucks or personal injury.
dieselwagon, first storm of this season in Milwaukee my buddy hit a manhole cover in scoop and wrecked his truck, hah he told me dont even ask how fast he was going
@johndeerecat12 well it was a new man hole cover like a week before the snow cus the lot had shit for drainage, the prop manager didnt tell him about it which their both kinda at fault. hah nothing... maybe pulled it up 2 inches in the front
Hey you guys want to trade a Meyer 7.5 for one of those Vs? LOL! Man I wish! I'll even throw in the 87' F150! Gasoline is cheaper than diesel right now.
think about finding a sheet of steel that will fit between your wheels. we just pick em up w/ a skidder n drop em in, youl fit snow throwers and salt way better
Proper ballast sits rearward of the rear axle ... preferrably within 2 feet of the tailgate. A large flat sheet of steel where most of the weight lays beyond the rear axle is not ideal ballast and will only add more weight on the front axle ... which is not what you want.
What size Boss plows are you using, and what are the V's like in wet snow?
I have never tried a Boss but would like to get one to see how they handle compared to my Fishers, I have herd lots of good things about Boss products.
nice job guys its nice to know that there are some ppl out there not breaking stuff as they plow keep it up

I wish my bosses would buy more Fords to plow with....I find the GMC Duramax I plow with too damn light to push any amount of snow.

@luvmyctd correct, thats why our sheets of steel are 2ft by 3 ft and are about an inch thick

i would only use dully if i was doing a like long country road so u push a shit load of snow
4x4mike15 2 years ago
True, but think of the weight you would have to put on the rear end of the dully.
True that a lot of city, county, and state drucks have a dual rear wheel set up but they have all that salt in the bed to weigh them down.
coldblast13 2 years ago
What would be better for plowing, single or dual rear wheels?
You would want a single rear wheel,if you have a dual snow can get packed in the space between them and make your tires useless.
coldblast13 2 years ago
not true if you have enough wheight on the back then a dully would be good for big lots and long roads or drive ways
