i just finished watching this movie. i googled "black Independent films" and came across an article that mentioned this. This is SOOOO awesome! i was having an argument on a forum about why is it that black hippy/out the box people always gotta be with white people? Why can't they be with black people? Funny i came across this film. and i did find it funny that Micah's ex was white....i agree with what he was saying but he has some nerve since his ex was white.

some people are really missing the point here about micah's character. micah's ex is white. his rants about blackness are complicated on a much deeper level than people are seeing because, in a way, he's more like joanne than he wants to admit at this particular point in time. he's been burned by a white girl and his entire reaction/attraction to joanne is fueled by that. micah, although aware, isn't just championing racial politics...he's actually deeply wounded. btw great movie!

movie wasn't that great... I know plenty of black dude who make all issuues about race. you know why.. I cuz I do the same. and it's all in fun and just makes everybody laugh because at the end of the day the current state of the world is what it is. and if you're complaining HANGE IT.

btw.the music on this was GREAT.what was that music playing when they were on the horse carousel or whatever it is./ that shit was ill I wish I could've sampled it strraight to the mpc1000 i would've been

Micah kinda seemed real bitchy when he went on his rants about being black, but I will say that I personally know people just like him and whoever that actor is had me believing that we was actually one of those overly political punk bike couriers that you find in every major city. Despite that, this film is really great and deserves to have more people watching it.
