This videos attitude toward the American constitution is misplaced. There is a role of government. The American constitution is a genius liberal manuscript. The problem is the American government has been operating completely outside it since F.D.R.
@PrivateAckbar The constitution does not limit the size of government. In fact it says the government should "Promote the general welfare of the people". What the fuck does that even mean? It's so vague that any law can be put into place if it's supposed to be for "the general welfare of the people".
@DoctorCapitalist "general welfare" refers to the strictly limited service the government would provide if it weren't criminal in it's taxation. It infers almost complete privatisation. The constitution isn't vague if you actually read the whole thing. It's a manuscript designed by geniuses with multiple mechanism to protect liberty.
@DoctorCapitalist That's an obvious criticism but not a fair conclusion. Of course histories record isn't exemplary but I don't think you understand what a vehicle the constitution is for classical liberalism.
@PrivateAckbar I detected no bad attitude toward the constitution. I detected mistrust in the jolly crews interest in following it.
I don't think it is genius either. It was probably the best compromise the liberal minded back then could get passed. Even assuming the government followed it, there would be silly things like government post offices, regulation of interstate commerce and so on. It is perhaps the best constitution so far, but it is in no way genius, because it was a compromise.
Fringe Elements? Thumbs down for associating with someone who hijacked and deleted another person's very useful youtube account. I'm assuming he hasn't righted that wrong and if DROs were around FE ought to be living in the wilderness til he brought back those videos.
Otherwise, the content of the video was good. Still gets a thumbs down for being FE.
Is it possible to get a picture of the jolly lady liberty?

@PrivateAckbar Many of the founding fathers were also slave owners. Not exactly protectors of liberty...

@DoctorCapitalist This is a healthy distrust of big government though. I like it. We all just need to keep reading.

@BAGADOOBLE
He is accused of deleting brainpolice2's videos, when they had a personal fight between the two. Bleh... drama!

@utubehayter I thought FE confessed to doing it, is that not the case?
