Guys would all just shut up about saying the Rock should have won the king of the ring, Ken was the right choice to win King of The Ring because The Rock understood buisness and what was right for buisness was for The Rock was to put Shamrock over, and boy did he in a big way that was one hell of a match he put on with Ken!
@tabone1987 Definately not, Shamrock was a hell of a wrestler and he was not that successful, winning the KOTR is the only thing Rock didn't do in his career, that he attempted.

@tabone1987 Rock debuted in 96' and that's not how it works, you, most of the time, have to really earn a WWF/E Title Reign, except for Sheamus, who won the WWE Title on accident and Del Rio, who is a fantastic worker and takes serious bumps. Rock hadn't even come close to earning it in 97, neither did HHH, or expecially Austin. The reason HHH was respected that much in 98, was because of the MSG Incident, when 2 faces (Hall and Nash) and 2 heels (HHH and Michaels) hugged in the ring.

People knock triple because he married stephanie and he was shawn michaels friend and all of that but the bottom line is, he was looked at by management as a future top guy back in 96 (before he and stephanie probably even knew each other).
