This is one of the countless reasons that I love Jake. Jake don't know if you read this but i was actually bullied by my teacher, i came out like u at 15 i actually had a teacher make jokes about me to the class which just opened the door to the rest of the class to do what they feel with me after class. So I had many many fights, went to the principle etc... no one would say anything to this teacher so iu had to deal with it which is what the principal said.

Seriously, anyone that works at a school should never treat someone like that. Junior High, High School or even elementary school is so traumatizing for a gay kid. It plays such a role in our lives and then we come out and have REAL friends and life takes a complete 180 but gay kids deserve to have good memories of school too.
Jake is a beautiful, talented man-who just happens to be gay. I think this is a fantastic message for anyone in the LGBT community. I came out as bisexual several years ago, and never looked back. Some people harassed and treated me badly, but in the long run, nobody should have to be afraid to express themselves, sexually or otherwise. Be yourself-gay, lesbian, straight, whatever.
In high school, there was a few effeminate guys that got made fun of in a daily basis. I saw what it did to them. It broke their spirit. they may or may have not been depressed or even wanted to kill themselves. Since that time, they have come around, and he is now a very successful businessman who works at Google. His past made him a fighter.

Why is it that there is a big hoopla made when some queer commits suicide (YES IT'S TRAGIC, DON'T GET ME WRONG), and all the focus seems to be on prevention of GLBTQ suicide, but not on other teen suicides from the non GLBQ community. ALL SUICIDE IS TRAGIC, IT'S TIME WE ACKNOWLEDGE IT! What about it get's better for the kid who does not fit in, the kid who has challenges in school and is called dumb, or the kids with other issues, not just the GLBTQ youth?

Jake don't know if you read this but i was actually bullied by my teacher, i came out like u at 15 i actually had a teacher make jokes about me to the class which just opened the door to the rest of the class to do what they feel with me after class. So I had many many fights, went to the principle etc... no one would say anything to this teacher so iu had to deal with it which is what the principal said.

Some people harassed and treated me badly, but in the long run, nobody should have to be afraid to express themselves, sexually or otherwise. Be yourself-gay, lesbian, straight, whatever.

In high school, there was a few effeminate guys that got made fun of in a daily basis. I saw what it did to them. It broke their spirit. they may or may have not been depressed or even wanted to kill themselves. What I did as a fellow human being was to come up to them and talk with them, like any other person. i wouldn't talk about their sexuality or anything, because i really don't care about that. I talked to them about the stuff friends talked about. i urge my fellow man to do the same.

its too bad that it actually doesn't get better. And i love how all these ppl who say it gets better are highly successful rich muscians, athlets, movie stars, journalists, Ive yet to hear from an actual everyday person say it gets better cause its been 5 years after highschool for me and its only got even steadily worse. It never ends - and if im lucky id die in my sleep tonight. it gets better is a crock of shit.

I pointed out that it is not at all useful or conclusive to merely speculate on something without any substance for why you have. It would be a lot easier if I glibly suggested that half the people in the town I live smoked, though I could not expect it to be taken seriously.I say easier though cos it's easier to prove

@TheKenfig If you really go back to my FIRST comment, you can see that I was merely bringing up the question as to how many of the people who bullied him were gay themselves. This is in no way asserting that all, some, or half of the people were gay, it is simply raising the question. I'm not jumping to conclusions, I'm just responding to your over analysis of my comment, and sharing reasons as to why I would even raise such a question that I did in my first comment.

@KoutetsuTenshin But 1, it isn't over analysis ; what I said was basic and fundamental to any discussion, namely that any speculation has, to be useful or valid at all, have substance or sound basis for it and 2, it isn't that I've said you've asserted some or half of 'the people' were gay, but really this discussion has developed after you asserted "It's often those who are most outspoken.." etc. and "It's hypocrisy draped in insecurity". One should try not to make glib assertions without proof

@TheKenfig 2 seconds of research: Mark Foley, Ted Haggard, Larry Craig, Bob Allen, Glenn Murphy Jr., Ed Schrock, Bruce Barclay, Robert Allen, Richard Curtis. Just a handful of the countless politicians, public figures, and other influential people who, known to be outspoken against homosexuality, were caught in gay activities. It's honestly not my problem if you've never heard of those people. I picked at you for using glib so much because it's terrible rhetoric.

It's certainly never been your fault who I've not heard of, although forgive me for having taken less interest in who are congressmen as I live in the UK.
