That choral layering in the background just enriches the atmosphere of this song so much. Those diminished movements make it so melancholic and somber. Hiking in the mountains on a rainy, overcast day to this song--just got through doing it, and it made my week.

this song is really pretty. When someone thinks of a castlevania game they don't immediately think of a tune that is this light and refreshing but that's what makes this track so cool. It's incongruity adds a fresh new spin to the idea of sword fighting demons in the night. It captures the innate sci-fi romanticism that surrounds the vampiric ethos.

I think that this game has the best Castlevania soundtrack, along with Curse of Darkness and SOTN. This is my favorite of the metroidvanias. I loved it enough to beat it on Lvl 1 Hard Mode, and I never bother trying to beat a game that thoroughly.

Michiru Yamane is definitely one of my favorite composers of all time. The music she creates for Castlevania games has such an incredible yet very mysterious feel that I find it very hard to describe. Which is great!
