  • oh i for to add its free here on youtube

  • the anime is better its romeo x juliet the characters are more well rounded in the series than here and the plot is thicker not to mention the love story more realistic though i do not suggest it for die hard fans of the original as it does take some extreme liberties with the source material

  • @emmaelephant15 everyone in my class does :P

  • @emmaelephant15 many people say that. technically, zac efron looks like him.

  • @emmaelephant15 wen i see that movie , i said!! zac?? xd lol

  • @emmaelephant15 same thing i said in class LOL

  • @emmaelephant15 i was just thinking that while watching the 1996 version

  • @emmaelephant15 Yes he does a bit look like Efron, doesn't he? Olivia Hussey looks a bit like Vanessa Hudgens too or is it my imagination? Anyway, this is truly one of the greatest if not the best verions of the Shakespeare classic. I hope they won't do a 3D version of it lol, but I do hope they remaster it and show it again. I miss that Elizabethan English in films.

  • @emmaelephant15 he looks a lot like Zac Efron... so does Logan Lerman... they look like triplets, I swear o.O

  • @emmaelephant15 yes!!! thank you!!! no one else in my 9th grade class got that when i said the same thing!!!

  • @emmaelephant15 i thought that too XD

  • @emmaelephant15 I was thinking the exact thing throughout the entire movie. like "Are we sure this was made in 1968? Because Romeo looks EXACTLY like Zac Efron." XD

  • I TOTALLY thought that dude was Zach Efron!!! 0.0 Isn't it supposed to be Leo DeCaprio?!

  • @The1GreatEscape This is the original romeo and juliet. Leo's version was the modernized one. Hope that bit of info helped you :)

  • Why must the cute guy always DIED!!

  • @NFLization We got Blacked Rolled.

  • watching this in class now!(: he is soo cute<3

  • You might want to switch the 1986 title to 1968

  • @darkdancr55 nope, leonard whiting:)

  • I'm reading and watching this in english, we haven't watched nor see this yet but i cry at ALL sad parts in movies, so i am preparing myself, all the kids are imature and laugh at most of the parts in this movie, and if i cry it will be the end of me.

  • Is it me or does Romeo look like Zac Efron??? O.o

  • @SamIamNot13 lol yeah he does! leonardo was a way better rome though

  • @123ilovevampires Totally agree. He is just so... PERFECT! And his eyes are to die for!

  • @SamIamNot13 coompletely agree (only scene the death scene and where he meets J though!)

  • @123ilovevampires I know right?!

  • @123ilovevampires i prefer this because in the writers time they wouldn't get guns out and shoots

  • @HotShotRuksy well I actually haven't seen any of the R&J movies or read the book so I'm basing my opinion on the death scenes. Leonardo is also one of my favourite actors so my opinion is a bit biased.

  • lol i meant Romeo!

  • @SamIamNot13 so sick of seeing Zac Efron mentioned on every video now. Lame people.

  • @Tigerlily21 Understand how you feel. But really! This is REALLY weird!

  • No doubt the BEST Romeo and Juliet movie ever made.....so sad

  • He is veeery Zac Efron. Yummy :)

  • what happened at 2:06 it blacked out...?wtf

  • what happened at 2:06

  • this movie is too sad to watch

  • But, This film's from 1968 ...

  • no affense but its 1968 not 1986 xD and btw i really liked it! i missed this part in my class cuz i had to finish a test Dx and i was looking for this part for soo long.. so thx lol

  • why did it black out ? :/

  • why did it black out? THIS IS MY FAV PART!!!!!!

  • 1968 you mean.

  • lets all stop fighting and agree that Leonard white is the hottest piece of 16th century ass there is. PS mine blacked out on me too!

  • "For never was a story of more woe / Than this of Juliet and her Romeo."

    ain't it the truth!

  • silly to compare the classic version to the modernized one, its not even the same acting era or style..both are great for what they are

  • it blacked out on me :(

  • @angel26108 me too crap ;(

  • you got the year wrong hun. its Zeffirelli's 1968 adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

  • This is 1968 actually, just correcting you...

  • you know guys don't fight about whose better cause its diff. versions...this one is kind of the more past version and leo's is kinda modern version...you know!

  • i am learning about this in my english class, and i have seen this version and other versions such as leo's version. i thought those were great but this version that i you have posted is by far the best version i have ever seen.

  • @green2bob me too!!!!!well last year...

  • @green2bob me too

  • @green2bob Baz Luhrmans is the best :]

  • leo was so better and he is fitter

  • 1996 One Was Better :]

    x

  • @niamh2545 DEFINITELY NOT. that one is a dumb version. this one is so romantic and beautiful. that one is a stupid modern adaptation. If you really liked the story you would like this one more because it is an actually adaptation. You don't get real love stories. And this guy is much hotter.

  • @nicholejd15 No I think the 1996 one is WAY better.

It relates to things in the world today.I have my own opinion Bxtch :/

  • @niamh2545 well then you have no taste in English Literature. Anyway, Baz Luhrmann was trying to do a contemporary outtake on Romeo & Juliet that's why it relates so well to 'the world today'.

  • This is cool.!!! I love it! Thanks so much!!!
