I say this because it sounds like she accidentally interrupted an investigation the FBI was already pursuing. She must not have kept quiet when she was told so they fired her. I'm thinking they wanted her to keep mum because they still had ongoing investigations into these other spies - as in any public attention spent on "turkish spies" might have cause potential moles to go quiet. They were worried about Robert Hanssen doing the same thing which he almost did.

Why not recruit her?

I think there are two possibilities:

1. In both cases the individual has stumbled on an ongoing investigation that the agencies aren't "covering up" as much as they are "under cover." Know the difference? That's how they had to handle the Robert Hanson thing.

or

2. This is just another story of FBI beaurocratic incompetence which would be consistent with the failures of September 11th.

@AdamSonOfJohn There are a number of people who came out before 9/11 like mad men and tried to warn everyone of impending attacks. William Cooper, Alex Jones, and several others. If it was just incompetence, why and how did these regular people find out about the attacks? How was it that William Cooper specifically fingered Bin Laden and that he would be blamed for the attacks months before the attack happened?

@AdamSonOfJohn , yeah she's exposing the fact that her investigation into terror cells were being thwarted, then later when on to speak out on the official 9/11 Commission answers. It would appear Dickerson was a dangle, so Edmonds would be implicated if anything went wrong. If it occurred, then Edmonds would be endangered as being implicated, being so close to this "group". Edmonds was probably being monitored, as was John O'Neill, who had his own investigation before resigning.
