  • Women talks about cars...I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THAT!!!!

  • @psykotanks

    Calm down there buddy

  • @91Taurus I will try ;)

  • 1st gen Taurus looked ahead of its time, 2nd gen looked aerodynamic, 3rd generation was very oval but distinctive and the 4th gen was bland and not something you would want to drive..The newest Taurus looks sporty and has a lincoln like interior but is a little pricey

  • I thought that the Buick Century along with its siblings if they had the 2.8 V-6 they all came with MPI when GM moved from the older carb version in 1986.I didn't know there was a 2.8 CFI or TBI engine in those cars.

  • You could also get the 3rd seat option I think. I know the Celebrity did.

  • Taurus was the last good car out of the usa.

  • @nokesmb7 lets not get crazy here, the car was great but i think europeans were making similar cars at the time like opels, rovers, and some other cars were similar styled but yes the taurus was probably better and you can see how toyota and honda took similar styles in their models.

  • 3 things

    1. i wonder where she is now a days

    2. am i the only one who finds her pretty

    3. the Taurus has a really nice ride

  • @grinnellalarms She'd be a lot sexier in a tighter outfit!

  • It's so sad that most of these first generation Tauruses ended up getting crushed because of rust problems. But, they were truly ahead of their time and the sales records show.

  • @7:00 Apparently Taurus doesn't come equipped with a right rear door as standard equipment

  • Taurus has doorhandles "designed to fit the hand" lol

  • This was a great car. She's right. Filled with "thoughtful" features, high quality design. Still impressive more than 20 years later.

  • This is a great looking car for a 1989. I myself have both a 2002 and 1988 Ford Taurus. They both run great! They knew what they were doing when they manufactured this model of Ford! Nice video and documentary.

  • Lol I thought the suspension demonstration was animated at first - yeah RIGHT xD

  • @tacomanfan344 Ha! So did I! Then I remembered this vid is from '89, so the suspension components I was looking at were actually real! lol.

  • wow these videos ARE relaxing! helps lower stress levels. I have many vintage 80s and 90s Nissan dealer vids - great to watch to reduce stress.

  • @MrGoldenwaffler

I'd love to see some of those, you should upload them. Being able to see vids for the 80s maxima or 90s 300zx would be awesome

  • @91Taurus well, I sure have lots to choose from ...gonna have to do that someday soon. I have maxima, pathfinder, 300z, sentra ... on and on ... the maxima and sentra ones are especially soothing. I love the outdoor scenes where it looks las if they filmed in a nice park, in August - with the leaves swaying on the trees, must think I'm nuts lol - but I live for that stuff ...

  • @MrGoldenwaffler

lol, not at all I'm the exact same way. I think there is nothing quite as relaxing as sitting down after a shitty day and watching a video on some of these great cars when they were still brand new, and yet to be abused and neglected.

I would definitely love to see your Nissan videos, and hope you upload some if you find the time. It would likely make my day

  • I wish i had that car......in the condition it was in then.

  • these dealer training videos are so relaxing....

  • i bought a 95 this summer for 900 with only 118k on it, it drives to smooth

  • Nice! This car is so cool!

  • cool, thanks for posting!

  • its such a pretty car... i have a 2000 taurus and its in perfect condition. and only has 45,000 miles =)

  • i have a 1989 ford taurus it runs GREAT

  • The 2.8 Liter V6 in the Century, 6000, and Ciera was MPFI!

  • Notice the built in ash trays in the rear doors? You would NEVER find that on any of todays cars........

  • why not?

  • @pcpti My Taurus has those even in the back......... I guess for the children.

  • @pcpti My 80s Mercedes S class and Audi 5000 both have ash trays, and lighters in both rear doors!

  • @pcpti Some vehicles now a days still have rear door ash trays. On the higher priced cars.

  • I love automotive history like this! Thanks for posting.

  • i dnt hear a Wisconsin accent. tho i am from Wisconsin but i havnt been home in months

  • Ford has always had good designs and thought ahead of the others. That bit about the quality of the fit and finish was a nice touch.

I love the new Fords of today. Especially, the 2010 Taurus and Fusion.

  • I had the 89 with 3.0, loved it, but the axod tranny is JUNK.

  • Thanks for posting, waiting for an 1989 Dealer Video. I have an '89 GL, tons of crap to fix, but its worth it. Similar to the sedan in this video, only color is a bit lighter, and clear coat is coming off.

  • thats a better warranty then ford offers today.

  • Very complete and nicely done! :) Jack

  • Finally, another taurus training video... thanks for posting!!!
