  • hey i need your help finding a club song.

The title may either of the 2, out on the expressway or L.I.E. this is what the female singer is singing during the chorus.

Hope you can help or know someone who can.

  • does anyone remember the song that went, " you never once cared how i feel, stop this running round and let me know the deal"....????? Loved that song, can anyone help?????

  • KIM MAZELLE????

  • Ortofon Concorde, top stylus!

  • great selection^^

  • yup .. this the golden era

  • DOES ANYBODY REMEMBERS A SONG CALL YOU NEVER SATISFIED? OR YOU NEVER SATISFIED? I DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF THE ARTIST BUT IT WAS BIG IN 1989....I HOPE I GOT THE TITLE RIGHT. THANKS

  • Technic 1200MKII was and still is the cadillac of turntables! I wasnt too fond of the concord type needle though... I used a stanton cartridge from radio shack (500 series), it had a white needle tip and had the letters DJ scripted on it. That needle harldy skipped and glued to even the most unstable vinyl record grooves.

  • Only the true house music. I meam, just the kind of thing almost no one can produce nowadays.

  • hihì_ì_féËl_so_lÓñélY_tõDãy

  • has anyone seen the movie "party girl" staring parker posey? they played a lot of house music... it's one of my faves.

  • It seems as if House music is a reincarnation of Hip-hop, and hip-hop it's self another diluted form of Soul, with soul itself being a watered down but powerful version of Gospel, the starting of African American music which came from Negro spirituals.

  • SL-1200, the Turntable of the last century!

  • now i got taken back with dont scandalize my name . house music is all about that vocal this is well done

  • I'm looking for the title and artist of an early 90's house song played in the club here alot. It was a chic singing in some other language maybe korean something about a DJ. Loved the song really want to find it. Please help.

  • Ok I'm looking for this early 90s house track. All I remember is that the vocals were FIEEERCE and it went something like "Boy I gotta let you know / I love you / I feel it / SET ME FREE." Hopefully one of you older househeads will know the one I'm talkin' about :)

  • ok, now im desperate!!

theres a song ive been searcing on for years, but i havent found it!

its sounds VERY 90s, with heavy instruments and the hook is "gotta get up gotta get up gotta get up, hey hey hey hey baby" sung by a woman sounding like Martha Wash - the lead singer of the song Gotta Make You Sweat by C+C music Factory.

if anyone know the name of the song PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

    peace out ;)

  • @yazzsaywhut,

baby it is ' ride on time' by Black box, brilliant tune. One of the pioneers of house, excellent. Still listen to the vinyl on occassion

  • @lyndal191972 thank you soo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was suspecting that it could be blackbox since i read that martha wash sang for them, but i was mixing the name blackbox with the group sweetbox, so i was thinking "no that song isnt sweetbox style haha"

    thanks again!!! :D

  • @yazzsaywhut

No worries, hope you can find a copy. The 12" had a yellow cover with Gigantic print in Black.

    Seeya

  • @yazzsaywhut , sorry if I just sent this to you, can't work youtube out yet. But, 'ride on time' by blackbox is the tune

  • Good stuff! Question for you. A deep house song from the early 90's, no vocals, begins something like a guy saying theres gonna be some changes here' then something like violins and another instrument. Then

Yeah.... aaahhh... in the background whilst music builds up and the yeaah.... ahhh continuing in the background.

Its probably what might be called slightly deeper house that kind of trances you out, particularly the repetitive aaaahhh yeeeahhh in the background. undergroundhouse, help?

  • this is very best house.....

  • now THIS is house....not that tired over-produced under-performed skim milk BS of today...and these children try to compare that to this? bitch please

  • This takes me back, wow.

  • ick, hearing this is triggering alcohol nightmares and ugly chicks from 89.. goddamn herpes

  • amazing how far house has come! but this is still amazing

  • How can someone dislike this... seriously...?

  • i remember hearing a female artist with a high pitched voice i think her name is India. tryna find some of her work if anybody has any info hit me

  • Man, this was good music. Too bad we didnt appreciate it then like we do when we hear it now.

  • can anyone give me some rec's of vocal tunes like 'baby let me love you for tonight' where they talk about one night stands the guy being a player and that fun stuff?

  • Pete Heller BIG LOVE enough said

  • I always thought this voice was annoying, it makes house music sound fruity.

  • Ooh nice!

  • wow!!! amazing compilation

  • Didn't A-Track win DMC Championship at 15 or 16?

  • nice

  • nice old school

  • That's Because A REAL DJ Uses Turntables,Cd Players Are A Joke In This Business,Great Jam BTW 10/10 I remember it well,PEACE.

  • So in your opinion DJs like David Morales, Alex Gaudino, Laidback Luke, Axwell, Bob Sinclar etc...are no REAL DJs?Hmmmm....

  • I have been Dj since I was 12,. My first equipment was: Technics D1, clubman 1.1 mixer, and sennheiser headphones, kenwood amp with 8track inside with Am / Fm radio. The point is currently own Dennon S3500, and Mk1200, and a computer. I all about how you use, the music and tools to create the feel .

  • @djquaa I started when I was 17 ( on two belt drive turntables, had to replace those 'belts' about twice a year) from JC Pennys and a 5 channel mixer (5mics and 2 turntables) from Radio Shack. I kept the mixer, built a 'booth' and bought two Technics 1200's. Then I ditched the mixer and bought CD/Turntable mixer. I'm now just using my computer.

  • yeah, say that and look like a tool. like Djquaa said. It's not about what you got but how you use it.

  • When I was a kid, I would always stare at a spinning turntable...it facinated me for some reason. still does to this day. And yup....i'm a dj as a result....lol

  • lol i wanna be a dj but i dont think i can do it btw in 15

  • 15 is a perfect age to start so dont think you can't do it.

As with all things it takes alot of hard work and practice but it will all pay off in the end just have faith in yourself =3

  • Likewise friend. I remember listening to cartoons on records before we could buy vhs copies. I think that's when my vinyl addiction started.

  • @papiblatino - You bro you have anything we can listen to?

  • anyone help. looking for a 90's house song, female voice....sounds like "upty upty upty, say upty upty"..........all i remember it was a jam

  • @papiblatino me too! fascinated by the SHURE cartridge floating upon the grooves of CHANGE, confunction, shalamar, Patrice, jack mcduff, & EW&F ..Peace Out

  • @papiblatino when i was a younger(about 3), i was fascinated with speakers and like you i still am, my mom always said i was going to be a dj, and now i am. its amazing how a simple fascination can have a huge result on your life.

  • omg...

  • technics *-*

  • Chris,

This is one of my first comments and I have to say i didn't think i would hear this music again, i am close to cracking one off mate...

  • Comment removed

  • I always preferred the instrumental versions

  • To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the early House music... They used the same drums for like 75% of all the songs...

  • i didn't at first, then it grew on me

  • To Pretty Tail: yea..that "one man" track is by Chanel. (cooltempo records 1989)

  • hey prettytail, would that be Bentleys in Kdy? I used to love sunday nights there, never did like working on mondays anyway!!!

  • Who's the artist that sung "One Man" I use to party at Bentley's back in the late 80's and I saw the lady that sangs it but can't find that song anywhere. Please help I think her name is Channell or something like it.

  • Any house heads out there...help. I'm looking for a house song '90-93. Heay piano, sounds like dionne warwick, the hook="tell him that I wanna make love tonight..tonight" tile & artist PLEASE!!!

  • Those Guys - "Tonite". A classic from the Basement Boys!

  • @undergroundhousecom had the same idea to suggest. Browse also "Crystal Waters".

  • @undergroundhousecom

You sonabitch. Finally i know the name of that song!

  • What's the second recored being played?

  • Damn that track by Jomanda takes me way back.....

    House 4 Life!

  • Ceybil Jeffries & Degrees of Motion are the shit!!

  • The mix itself is good but it's not house what we call house music. I've been listenning to house over 20years now and that's dance music. Most people can't make the diffence between house music and dance music.

  • You're saying this mix isn't house? At least in the USA this is all house.

  • This is great, but calling it HOUSE is pushing the limits of credulity. Most of these tracks are GARAGE (with the possible exception of Jomanda). Don't want to nitpick, but when I think of house, I think of stuff like Marshall Jefferson, X-Press 2, Alcatraz, DJ Duke, Inner City. Cheers for posting - I enjoyed listening.

  • Depends where you're from. In the USA, this would all be considered HOUSE. And GARAGE is considered a sub-genre of House (some of these songs could be classifed as Garage House)

  • All night long, Hung Jury, Tracks DC.

  • this is wat music is all about

  • i luv it !!!!!!!!!

  • Omg, I was just a kid when I heard these songs! Where can I get some vinyl's of classic House in Chicago?? It's practically non existant in Chicago. I wish they would play this on the radio! Wow, everybody VOGUE! LOL

  • OMG -- these tracks remind me of partying at Peanuts in West Hollywood way back in 1990!

  • Meee too!! Me and all my friends would hang there. I remember Jomanda being played at Catch One when the lights would go off, and then they'd really play some great house :)

  • "feel in love dont you know d d dont you know d d d d dont you know" anyone know where that one is im feening 4 it!!!

  • sounds good... Very Nice the numark cartridige cs1... good!

  • The roots....I just wish that every house DJ is first listened enough to the very start of the it's beginnings so they could understand it's history and grooves followed further on as grooving into something new...(..past decade most is crap, has no groove :P)

  • Wicked stuff on this cookie watkins tune are these e smoove mixes thanks

  • What is the name of the song at 1:25?

  • Cookie Watkins - "I'm Attracted To You"

  • Thanks!

  • New Jack

  • very nice mix dude. Don't forget Adeva "Respect Me" from around 1988. Keep it UndaGround 4 Life!!

  • i like it

  • Could I find these on limewire or a torrent?

  • don't forget about technotronic's "Pump Up The Jam"

  • boring style , not productive

  • He's just showing so of his records.

  • Why not show them off by mixing them... I see There's a 1200 and a mixer.... what'd the bet that there's another 1200 just off screen. BAM you're ready to mix!

  • No I'm saying its good thing hes doing it!

  • cool man..

  • já de szar zenék :D

  • THATS HOUSE! not todays crapass fucking music that everyone "calls house".

  • @Heddan1 Yes !!! This is REAL ! ,The real House music, the vocals were so soulful and the sounds of that era were Outstanding .

I realy thank God I lived my young years in that wonderful musical era ,and would never change it for nothing !

  • @Heddan1 AMEN!

  • @Heddan1 i agree!!!

  • @Heddan1 as much as i understand your point of view, youd be surprised at how much good stuff is still coming out today ;) a different sound, but some of it in sincerely soulful ! some i said ...

  • @cashox3 yeas man! that's what I mean ... good stuff is everywhere but you must find it and dont be angry dad :)

  • @Heddan1 This is early Chicago style house which is very tame compared to todays progressive house. Its just the evolution of the genre. Progressive house it where its at tho honestly.

  • @Heddan1 why so angry?? to much drugs in 90s what?? :D:D heh chillout daddy

  • @Heddan1 100% agree man!! I was a lover of the original House Music, like Robin S, Todd Terry, or Boyz R us...

  • I've a question too. 1991/92 house, piano intro, I remember the lyric 'my back is against the wall...'. Any ideas?

  • SOUNDS OF BLACKNESS

    "THE PRESSURE"

  • Thank you very much!

  • why then, did you listen to it and write a 3 word comment on it?

  • Her singing style reminds me of "Adeva"

  • Question: House cut starts out with woman singing a long riff then shes says, "Sweet, sweeter, sweeter!!" with a powerful piano in the back ground. The song builds up and the chorus sings, "Let you know... that I am for real. I got to let you know... (early '90's)

I thought it was Martha Wash at first but her publicist told me it wasn't her. Any idea anyone?

  • I believe that you are talking about "Gonna Get Back to You" by MAW featuring Xaviera Gold. She is the same girl who sang "You Used to Hold Me"

  • Who ever you are... you're very good. All I had was those few lines and it was exactly the song. WOW! I mean, I've been searching for this song ever since I lost the cassette tape it was on which was 1997.

  • THANK YOU SugarWallz!!!

  • There were several songs that were titled Shoulda never let you go. I'm searching for one of them...only a few dj's ever had the one i really liked ... do you know who did any of them? I appreciate it...thanks

  • hey can anyone tell me were i could find a tune from early 90's called joy and i think the band was stacks?? not sure all??

  • Comment removed

  • staxx - joy

  • I have a question for you guys... Early 90's, house inspired tune beginning with a guy saying 'theres gonna be some changes round here', then the music kicks in (oaaa, yeeeah, oaaa, yeaah in the background). There wasn't any female vocals, but it was pretty melodic..

I'd be really happy to know who it was.

  • Looking for an early 90s house vocal track played at the RETRO nights up north.

It goes::: you used to love me! with quite a heavy bassline. (not ralphs version)

    Any helps chaps?

  • Can anyone remember this song, it went like 'Kutchi kutchi, I can never give it up, say la la, kutchi kutchi' . it's early 90s house tune.

  • yea! it sounds like boobi shap dee doo dap turn left at the traffic lights

  • I have to say that women made great house music just as awesome as the guys did back in the day.Even in nightclubs they spin records really great.

  • NEW TRACK RELEASE 2009!

    Tailored Funk - "Martini Strut"

  • i absolutely LOVE house music....who would you reccomend as good house artists? Im just 23, but ive always loved this sound but its been difficult running across pure house, its usually a mix of disco house, trance and techno that people confuse it with out here...my folks are from NY, grew up on this..

  • Good lord...Michael Watford, Most anything produced by Kerri Chandler, Masters at Work, Martha Wash, Dj Spen, King Britt...just some starters to point you in the right direction.

  • NEW YORK HOUSE MUSIC.......
