  • I respect this guy a lot, he has a lot of knowledge and has probably been keeping fish much longer then me. But I personally do not recommend siphoning gravel and debris this way. You run the risk of sucking up brittle stars, possibly corals and other small important invertebrates under the gravel. I personally prefer using the same piping he uses but with out the larger part on the end and stiring up the gravel dislodging any bubbles, poop and food under the sand/gravel and then siphoning.

  • @leavegrandmaalone A fish tank siphon has a plastic screen on it, so they ain't going anywhere.

  • I very like the way you showing water change

  • doyou remove the fish when you clean it?

  • @AmericanEagles100 no do not ever remove your fish this cause stress both removing them and then reintroducing them back into the tank.

  • theres a yellow fish swimming around it that tank

  • i have a magnetic cleaner one peace on the outside and one inside

well i learned something, i only changed my tank every 2 months and it stayed Crystal clear, but i changed the whole thing at once.

    mine was freshwater though.

  • I really dont se ethe point in people buying fish that is going to harm you.. u should put your hand in the tank just cause your a fawking idiot.. @ anonomousness

  • what is the fish in the tank

  • when the sand flies in the water strees the corals!!

  • Does the sand travel up the siphon when you siphon it or does it go back down??? please let me know. I might want to put sand in my tank.

  • goes back down

  • yyes it does he even says it at 2:38

  • how do you get hair algae off the rocks?

  • Clean up crew

    - Hermit crabs

    - Snails

    - Selected fish.

  • clean with hot water

  • Does this place have any fish in their tanks?

  • magnetic algee scrapers they are about 5-8 buks at petco/walmart/petsmart and to do the gravel i would purches a cleaner shrimp or a blenny maybe just dont mess with the sand/rockbed?? idk dude i have 2 clownfish and a damsel in my 45gallon but i just use the magnetic scrapers and havent had to do the gravel/sandbed yet

  • @anonomousness get somebody to do it for u

  • @anonomousness wear sturdy gloves lol or get a broom handel or somethign similar and attach the siphon onto it

  • @anonomousness if you have another tank you can use for just an hour to clean it, then there you go

  • @anonomousness get a magnetic scrubber. you can move it from outside of the glass, my brother has one.

  • that's also what I do to my reef aquarium
