@mellieroxursox In Drop C (or any other 'drop' tuning for that matter) you only have to tune down the low E. It's not that hard to tune back to a standard tuning, all you have to do is make sure that the dropped string's 5th fret note matches the open note on the next string going down. I believe you meant C standard?

@overlord717 actually it doesn't matter what order you tune the strings in. I know you're talking about playing the 5th fret and matching the string above to the pitch.

You can play the 7th fret and match it to the string below its pitch too. Or you can tune with all harmonics which I think is better because when you fret a note you invariably pull it slightly out of tune just by pressing down.

If you can't tune by ear with a starting ref. then buy yourself an electric tuner! $20 @ MF
