@DAZMANT it is known that such engines have reduced grafics when they are ported to consoles. xbox 360 and ps3 are about 5 years old and those new effects haven't been realeasd in a game yet. it may run on them but it can't look as good as on pc that is always upgradable.

hmm this all is already present in CE3....but if they give this stuff in UDK and Crytek fails to deliver something for indies Epic will win in indie market but i don't see a reason why people won't choose CE3 with more better capabilities

@doktoroptimo the reason UE3 has so many games is because they support consoles.....how many studios u know which license a engine to make game for PC only....if there are pc only dev. they use their on engine e.g valve, blizzard etc. Now as u can see even before Crysis 2 has released so many dev. has licensed CE3...and also i m not saying UE3 is bad or anything..its still gud...but just its getting old in term of ease of editor use...

You don't get what this is about. Unreal is an ENGINE. GOW, Rainbow six vegas, Unreal tournament 3 and a shitload of other games uses it.

@kl0m0nst3r Das ist eine Echtzeit-Engine, da die ja für Spiele u.ä. verwendet wird und die Effekte eben im Spiel interaktiv vorkommen müssen. Allerdings hängt die Qualität stark von der verwendeten Grafikkarte ab, und die Effekte gibt es sicher nur auf einer High-End-Version die mehr kostet als der Rest des PCs. (aber ich kann mich auch irren)
