  • Thanks for this. I still have parts left over, LOL (two semi-circular pieces with ridges on the outside, that is the part that really confused me). It's only the door between the laundry room and kitchen and it doesn't need to lock (bought non-locking door knob). Hopefully it will hold up.

  • When jigsaw teach you How To Install a Door Knob

  • This works if it's an exact fit...it not then good luck.

  • the latch mechanism doesn't have any screws, might have been glued on, might have to replace the whole door

  • This is for absolute fucking dumb asses. I'm a chick & I don't need to watch a fuckin tutorial on how to install a door knob. CHRIST!

  • So when you buy a door knob, all the screws and everything comes with it? And when you buy a door is there already a hole in it or do you have to drill a big hole on the side?

  • Thanks for the video!

  • awesome

  • mine is different door knob and i dont no how to put can some1 help me my door knob has a big circle thing in the middle of the door knob and the other is just regular the end part

  • DEEP VOICE

  • Wow you make it look so easy in the video but its really hard in person. The parts wont stay put when I try to drill in the screws

  • I took apart the latch and i can't get this spring back in!!!!

  • Someone help this lady!

I need a video like this to help me install the keyed or locking, door security chains i just purchased on-line. Where? where? where? can I find?

  • Just kidding, satire. But how do you make the hole for the strike plate, if you do not own a router?

  • @konachai1 a chisel..

  • That is simply amazing I had no clue how to do this, at the end tightening down the screws so they are snug is key, thanks a lot.

  • este video le falta quitarle los toenillo que llevan dentro y luego armarlo si no se procede primero a hacer esto no es posible armarlo.

  • I did it. You made it look so easy, and it was. Thanks again.

  • Wow, I am impressed. I bought a knob and open the package, tried to read the instruction and make sense of the them and decided I was an idiot. Thank you for show a very clear view of how these things go together. I realized after watching this, my next step is to paint the edge of the door. Thanks again.

  • you didn't demonstrate once you were done. my newly installed doorknob, visibly latches, but is easliy pushed open.

you didn't even mention which way to face the latch.

  • You probably need to deepen the hole in which the latch rests.

  • is there a difference with a lock-knob or is it pretty much the same process?

  • What about the damn strike plate?? My door has alot of jiggle when its shut.

  • thanks!

  • I have the same hollow doors and door knobs in my house and the latch pops loudly everytime my roommates close the doors because they don't turn the knob. How would you muffle a loud latch? Inject expanding foam into the door? (Even if it's blocked by cardboard inside) I've looked all over online and can't find a solution, even though it seems to be a huge problem for many light sleepers.

  • Nice. thanks

  • Ok, finaly got it....after about two hours....at first I had not put the door handle through correctly....and still had problems getting them to mesh...and trying to line up the holes...but after two hours...success.

  • How does a person know how to position the new doorknob so the screws fill fit and not just slide through and not catch the other side? Thanks.

  • How did you place the two ends of the knob in so easily. It took me over 20 minutes to get these to fit into each other....and then the screws would not fit after I finally got the two pieces together??? What am I doing wrong? Appreciate the video. Thanks.
