  • which pickup is tonal wise better . Slash signature or the one u r playing

  • Awesome sound but man those strings are shit ! Try some Elixirs or Dunlop ..

  • @chriscarrier1996

Ernie Ball strings are fine. I find they die too quickly but they are good sounding strings.

  • what color way are the pickups?cuz im gettin a set of these but i want them to look like the derrig afd. its like the way you have them now but i dont know if its zebra or reversed zebra

  • @s7ayer34 im pretty sure its reversed zebra, if your buying it from a shop just ask them and they should be able to tell you

  • What's in the neck, and what's in the bridge?

  • How much were they?

  • Nice touch aiming the camera right at your crotch.

  • Slash modelz nice

  • 6:31 woof woof woof lol nice Mann awesome!!!!!

  • what was the first thing you were playing?

  • @Entzivean Ain't life grand by slash's snakepit, ive done a cover of the full song on my channel!

  • @concarnage5 Yea it was Ain't life grand by slash's snakepit but a very shitty one !

  • @Entzivean /watch?v=pBv_ncrU0FI

  • @concarnage5 huwhat?

  • lol we practiced the same songs

  • Gibson or Epiphone Mr Godfather ?

  • I wanna use one of these pickups for the bridge to get a powerful crunch and a Gibson 57 pickup for the bridge to get the classic bluesy sound of Gibson in my epiphone les paul what do you think is that a good combination or not?

  • do u think that these pick ups would sound good on a Les Paul ultra ?

  • Hell yeah! Nice Duncan's...

  • Pickup question, do the following pickups come in DOUBLE WHITE: Seymour Duncan Alnico II or Alnico II Pro, and Gibson 496R?

  • What kind of strings do you use? Is it 9' or 10' ?

  • @pezozy123 ernie ball power slinky, so 11' to 48'

  • @concarnage5 oh, I am in between 9' and 10' because 10's tone is better but it's hard to play with it. However now you say that it's 11'. isn't it too hard to play, especially at bend.

  • @pezozy123 It just takes getting used to, i started out using 9' as well. when i moved up to 11' it was really hard but after a while i got used to it (:

  • @concarnage5 i was the opposite weirdly enough when i moved to 11s from 9s its felt better the 9s felt like cheese wire especially when bending on the top e =/

  • @pezozy123 if u get 11 guage power slinky then when u detune ur guitar the strings are loose and feel like 9 or 10 guage strings so if u detune ur guitar then u wont notice the thickness...........but dont get beefy slinky cuz those strings are made to be more stiff

  • @pezozy123 hahahhahaha your weak man! i use 12 to 56 in drop D and i don't have a prob bending them lol

  • @777MMT at the time i recorded i just upgraded from 9's to 11's i really dont see the point in using 12's they are for people who just slam strings all the time

  • @concarnage5 no there not. they have a much thicker tone thats why i use them but soon im gonna get 11 to 52 the 12 to 56 are great but the sustain with them tuned to drop D is a little short the thick tone come's with a price at thows tunings but if you use drop C the sustain is great.

  • @concarnage5 also great vid man! thows pickups are sweet cant wait to get one.

  • @concarnage5 avt50?

  • @nochix96isnuts yup :P says in the description. this is a pretty old and shitty video. i have some far better quality videos on my channel now (:

  • As strong as active pickups, love the sound. I must get one.

  • are those pickups passive or active???

  • @Nintendo129 passive

  • Don't be afraid of a little vibrato dude. But it was really great tones there so thanks to this ill probably go ahead with getting the bridge and neck set of these.

  • KEEP PRACTICING GODDAMN IT!

  • is it just me or the clean sounds like piss... :( like mandolin or something? i wanted to get those sd alnico2 but now i'm really not convinced any more. there's no sustain on clean what so ever...

  • @andrzejkostelic2 i dont have a very good clean channel on my amp :(

  • That neck PU just sings!!!!!!! Love it!

  • is the neck pickup good for the distortion does it go muddy or does it stay clear thanks :)

  • eh

  • good job, but careful with those Slash bends, u are tearing my heart apart when u play it wrong )

  • @VoVikMakaR sorry to disappoint, pretty hard to do 8 minutes in one take

  • @concarnage5 u know i love how every body with either a les paul or seymor duncan alnico 2 pro humbuckers plays slash...its awsome

  • @VoVikMakaR It tears my heart to read your comment. To think you have better things to get fussed over, surely you have.

  • Comment removed

  • @gavquinn u are fussing man, i am not)

  • @VoVikMakaR well he is a pretty influential guitar player :P

  • @concarnage5 then u need to be influenced a bit more :P

  • @VoVikMakaR playing the guitar isn't about replicating someone's sound, its all about your own maaan

  • @hottotts30 hm... i am sure i am experienced enough to know what i am saying. if you make your own music, you can play however you want, with whatever effects you want. When you are covering somebody, and especially show it to public, you have to make sure that ut sounds as close to original as possible because people are used to hear it in perfection as they heard it from the original, and they dont feel the same as they did my friend.)

  • Sorry to be a pain but I had to ask... what finish is your guitar??

  • @LongboardingFox I just bought it in the shop when i saw it, it didnt actually say what finish it is. i think is iced tea (:

  • @concarnage5 i believe it's honeyburst

  • What amp are you playing through?

  • @Dsharply Marshall AVT50, all my gear is in the description for all my videos (:

  • What amp are you playing this through?

  • I'm thinking about gegtting these pickups and I just want another outsiders opinion.... would these pickups be good for paramore and blink 182, music kinda like that ???? if I wanted too could I bring down the distortion on these pickups to be a little more soft than what you had them in this video ?>? if anyone can help me thank you for your help

  • @ArmyOfAngels5 the pickups are really great! one thing like about them is that they are really versatile, they can go from a heavy hard rock sound to more mellow bluesy sounds. im not quite sure of paramore and blink 182 but they sure as hell sound great. hope this helps!

  • @concarnage5 Ha thanks man :D They have a 30 day returning policy anyway .... I havent put them in yet but if I dont like them I'll just return

  • @concarnage5 beautiful guitar man, if i had of been smarter when i bought my Les Paul i would have got the honey burst instead of the Vintage Sunburst....

would these pups be good for stuff like Classic rock (The Eagles, The Grateful Dead) and would it also be able to pull off really good mellow bluesy tones? if you can get back to me thanks, if you cant, then great playing....not many people get even closely get that genuine slash tone

  • @TrippyTheShroom one thing i love about these pickups is how versatile they are, the reason the video sounds so slashy is because i have my amp settings to a slash tone. all you have to do is tweak a couple of the settings and you can come up with limitless possibilities! the clean tones are really characteristic and they just sound great, same goes for the dirty tones. now that i have an HD video camera i will redo this video with my gibson with better quality! (:

  • @concarnage5 thanks, ya....i've heard alot of good things from these pups. Whenever you make that video send it to me or somethin, cause knowin me i'll forget lol

  • @ArmyOfAngels5 Josh and Taylor have these in the bridge of their guitars with a phat cat in the neck.

  • not bad but too much fret buzz man, sort your truss rod and action out, then it'll be nice

  • 6:32 you see :D the dogs like it 2 !!! xD

  • Next time, back way the crap away from the camera so we can hear the attack of the guitar and not your string noise.

  • nice crotch shot also!

  • probably the best slash tone (and playing) i have heard so far on youtube man!

    well done dude (Y)

  • @brutalaxxe thanks for the comment! keep checking in for new covers, all of my covers will be uploaded in HD and i will redo a lot of old covers too :D

  • @brutalaxxe

watch?v=TanrtaD_c24&translated=1 Here is the best slash tone in YouTube.

  • are those the slash models?

  • is that an epiphone les paul

  • what's the name of the thing you played at first? :

  • @heroboy22 Ain't life grand by slash's snakepit

  • great job in godfather theme

  • @alejandronuevo08 It's my version of slash's version hehe thanks for the comment!

  • how much were they ? theirs a slash sig bridge for 120 and i kinda want both haha

  • @Shelbones01 Mine were 85US each, the slash sig are probably more expensive though. mine are the regular alnico pro-IIs, my guess is that they sound pretty similar.

  • @concarnage5 i have alnico 2's ....too haha but if they better id consider buying them

  • is that an epiphone or a gibson?

  • @guitarplyr29 Epiphone Les Paul Standard

  • @guitarplyr29 That doesn't really matter lol

  • what do you prefer??? seymour duncan alnico pro 2 or seymour duncan jb pickups or seymour duncan jazz pickups ????

Are the seymour duncan alnico pro 2 and seymour duncan jb pickups the same???

Im eally confused... tell me what are the same and what are not!!!PLSPLS

  • @HutchDano590 sorry, i dont think i can help you there. I've only played the alnico pro-IIs, i believe that my guitar instructor uses the jazz ones and he said that they make a good jazz sound. i think you should just watch demos of all of those pickups and listen to what sounds best to you. thanks for the comment!

  • Are these the Seymour Duncan Alnico Ii pro slash pickups?

  • @O00Coolzero00O they dont say 'slash' on them but they are the exact same model that he uses, thanks for commenting!

  • awesome man. quick question. what potentiometers is recommended for those pickups?

  • @Okauru sorry, not a tech person, what do you mean by potentiometers? thanks for the comment!

  • @concarnage5 the thing below the volume knobs haha

  • DUDE YOUR AWESOME!!!!! xD

  • sounds great!!!! what amp are you using??

  • @elpajaro27 A Marshall AVT50, i believe i wrote it in the discription. thanks for the comment! :D

  • @concarnage5 AHH that is a great amp... I have a Marshall MG, do you think I won´t get your sound?? or they will be similar? thanks for your help! you rock!!

  • @elpajaro27 to get my sound you need my amp hehe thanks for the comment!

  • I want to get this pickups for my 2001 les paul standard. do you like them better than tha stock pups ?

  • @bailey12444 the guitar i put them in is an epiphone lp standars, and they sound so much better than the pickups i had before. well worth the money.

  • @concarnage5 Do you reccommend to put seymour duncan in an Epiphone LP Standard? Does the sound change hotter?

  • @elpajaro27 I did exactly the same thing, it sounds great! it gives a really agressive sound on the treble pickup and a really smooth sound on the rhythm pickup. thanks for the comment!
