I miss it too, but they were given so many chances to succeed with their formula. Making an appearance at E3, being interviewed by ScrewAttack, and having a write-up in Electronic Gaming Monthly. Things fell apart pretty quickly after GameLife started gaining notoriety. It'd be nice to see the old crew back together doing what they've always done.

I was following Dave shortly after the demise of GameLife. I was waiting for his new series, but never saw anything come from it; I think the website was taken down, too. Geoff is still producing new videos. Ironically, he had a falling out with Andrew and was ejected (or voluntarily left, whichever it was) from GameLife; now, he's the only one I can find who is making new videos. Melissa has to be doing something, though. She was good at what she did and had a bit of a following.

I spoke to Geoff a while ago and he said the falling out was water under the bridge, they're all friends again now and were at one point planning a reunion.

Still, its noticeable when Geoff was kicked out, was when it started to collapse.

When GameLife started, I always thought it was just two friends (Andrew and Alex) who wanted to make amateur video game review movies for their own personal entertainment. They certainly weren't part of the industry. A lot of things have happened since the pilot episode, for better and worse. Maybe one of those things is that the passion for making movies was lost. I wasn't there behind the scenes, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few people developed some egos after having exposure.

I know the ego thing was true, especially when the MTV deal appeared. Another little known story was that when ScrewAttack was starting out, they approached them first to do segments for them (like the rejected Link: Faces of Evil video on Youtube) but GL turned them away saying they weren't big enough for them.

Then again if that never happened, SA would never have started out on their own and introduced the AVGN to the world.

ScrewAttack is one of my favorite websites, so it's weird that they were actually turned down by GameLife. GameLife, in my opinion, was never on the same level--and could never have been. I feel lot of GameLife's "fame" came from the fact that certain hosts couldn't get through a taping without looking like dweebs in the process. I liked it. It was like "Star Wars kid" meets William Hung, except with video game reviews. Was Geoff affiliated with ScrewAttack at one time?

If anyone suggests that the girl who reviewed Valkyrie Profile is there for anything other than sex appeal, they totally fail. Her review for Death Junior comes down to "I think the characters are cute, and you kill things." Couldn't you translate that same logic into Valkyrie Profile? i was wondering, that big TV you guys review your Games on...is it HD? because if it's not, your're not getting the best out of your 360....as for the GCN and PS2, you should use Component cables, and they'll give you a wayyy better picture and you'll notice way more detail( especially if you have an EDTV or HDTV )
