you can build a really simple ball picker-upper using cylindrical shipping containers and duct tape. it is what i use to pick up balls at home when i am using my robot or practicing serves. just tape 2 tubes together, end-to-end. cover one open end with a 4-layer covering of duct tape. cut a "+" in the duct tape layer over the opening. it will be stiff enough to resist the downward pressure of the balls in the tube, but pliable enough to allow balls to enter when you pick em up. peace

He is not hiding the ball. The ball is in view from the opponent's position at all times. His paddle is hidden for a second in the under arm serve. As long as u r behind the endline and the ball is in view and not spun with ur free hand when u throw it up. This is legal.
