  • Very Nice System. I used to run emergency generators at AT&T mountaintop radio sites and I'm impressed.

A professional installation is the way to go although I've seen two "professionally installed" systems delivered with "catastrophic" wiring mistakes (as in certain conditions where the Commercial Power could dump into the Emergency Power) which we discovered during the pre-operation inspections .

Get it installed professionally but double check everything!

  • how much did u pay for it..

  • @kngsunny About 3K

  • you didnt show us how to hook it up. u showed us how u had someone hook it up!!!

  • @MegaBigbillybob You are correct, I had someone hook it up...

  • the emergency light is a great idea, but why is it on the opposite side of the room instead of over the service panels where you would need the light o read the labels on the panels? Not everyone has the best vision in low light.

  • @matman1490 Thanks for the feedback. Good point regarding the location of the light however it's very bright and provides plenty of illumination of the service panels for my eyesight.

  • best advice here : hire a professional

  • the best advice here is to hire a professional to install the generator

  • Nice vid! You inspired me. I posted a vid response.

  • you have to be carful who you higher for the eletircal because some people do it the wrong way just slap it in.. while it works its not the best way to wire something I redid the pannel in my home my self because it was all wrong and not even to code.. So I rewired it I have a small gas genrator just to run the furnace blower and thats it for me I want heat to work lights ect not a big deal...

  • Col. Robert Neville (The Omega Man) aka Charleton Heston would be proud of your Handiwork. Well Done

  • Excellent idea regarding the emergency light.

You really ticked me off that I didn't think of that first!

    LOLOL

    Nice work!

  • Thanks! FYI: The emergency light is made by Lithonia Lighting, Model ELM2.
