I was browsing through the Pets section of a book store when I came across this red book with a cute Poodle on the cover. Upon reading the first few pages I felt so sad for those dogs that are kept in those cages. Baby you're so very lucky to be free from that nightmare. I wish you all the best.
I bought the book, "A Rare Breed Of Love", for my mom for Christmas, and she said that for several of those first nights of reading it, she couldn't stop crying. She had always felt bad for those poor pups in cages at the pet shops, but it had never occurred to her to even wonder about their parents and their living conditions.
This is a happy ending, but please people understand this dog's message; she was from a puppy mill where they breed dogs for puppies that are sold in pet stores. DO NOT BUY a puppy from a pet store- even a breeder- one third of all dogs at the pound are pure-breds and thousands are killed each week. Puppies too. This dog lost her leg from being a breeder in a puppy mill standing in her wire cage for years. PLEASE ADOPT- DON'T SHOP for a dog or puppy!!!
Jana... you are a beautiful, giving, and amazing person for all that you have done. I plan on picking up your book next time I'm out shopping and I hope I can accomplish even just a fraction of what you have in promoting the well-being and happiness of our friends.

I have a miniature poodle Milo, who looks like Baby. I got him from the internet and I am glad I did before someone else did. My other dogs are rescue dogs.
Baby- I have been doing rescue for over 10 years and some of the fur kids that have passed over my door have only known a cage. I love seeing you running, it brings tears to my eyes. Your mom is making a difference in this world and hopefully with the rest of our help, we can change things for the better. You are a special little lady. I hope to meet you one day.
