The begining of anything even the universe as a whole is one of the most deeply human persuets that have been done. It is admirable that he takes the time to go through what he thought happened or at least theorise, this generates many other thoughts. It can often be the advancement of primary, secondary and tertiary things that give the most wonderful thoughts, anyway.
The exact begining of something is a metaphysical trail that few dare to treat and is best left not thought about too much. His illustaition of time, space and matter although having some truth to it is quaint at best, something to just remember. it doesn't matter who wrote the book of Genisis as long as God inspired it but it is healthy to answer a question whenever possible actually.
Even if God was in time and it was infinite God could still do that but I agree with most of what he said that God is not contingent on time. God is an absolutly enormously, unthinkablely and elegantly orders or tetrations of magnetude, pentations of magnetude, hexations of magnetude, easily decations of magnetude or xonations of magnetude; xonation being an octillionth level of notation I thought up, above any vouge reference refering to space, time or dimentions.
