THIS WAS A THOMAS RIG THAT WAS RATED WRONG PLUS THE TRUSS WAS MISMATCHED ALONG WITH A CRAP CHEEP ASS CO. THAT OWNED THE RIG A POOR ROAD CREW THAT WOULD NOT DO WHAT THE RIGGERS TOLD THEM TO DO I WAS THERE RUNNING THE CREW WE DID NOT BUILD THE STAGE OR GROUND SUPPORT MY RIGGING CREW ARE ALL ARENA RIGGERS WITH OVER 100 YEARS EXPERIENCE BETWEEN THEM SOME UNION SOME NOT.
Wow, not very good advertising with the PRG cases either. If you don't know how to properly load and rate your weight, You have no right to be flying these kind of rigs. The riggers should have known better. The whole rig looks ground supported on Truss basses. Spend the money and put some points from the steel....
Glad I had nothing to do with this rig. I'd heard 50 moving lights on one of the trusses, looks like all VL3000's, which amounts to approx. 4,200 lbs. You decide if you'd do that......
When LD's and riggers don't communicate sometimes bad things happen.
roughly fifty movers in the air on that structure? you got to be kidding me, thats insane. and another twenty five on the downstage, waiting to go up. i hope TOTAL STRUCTURES sees this.
