  • They're usually harmless rising vorticies of air. They look a little like toradoes but are completely different

  • And like snow devils, usually they form on perfectly clear days. We have them in the mountains here, had to hang onto a ski rack not to get blown over! Also, one nearly demolished the Conway art fair one year, same thing.

  • A dust devil is a little vortex of air that can happen on a hot day. They look a bit like tornadoes but are very different.

  • This onew is too small but when I was in Alamogordo New Mexico, as a kid, we use to run into the middle of them and sometimes you could run with it thru the desert for a minute or so....

  • that was very cool, i have never been so close to a dust devil like that! very good vortex structure, i have a hobby on studying dust devils and this helped my research, thanks!
