The Arpeggio is actually A flat, C, E flat, and up to A flat on the G string. There is no open G. Remember that for a One octave arpeggio it is half the amount of notes(4) as the original octave(8).
@heavyhastejaredm There is no rule that says an arpeggio is half the notes of the scale. Arpeggio simply means "broken chord". He played a Major-7 arpeggio. Although most people assume a full major arpeggio(root, 3rd, 5th octave) when they hear "arpeggio", but if it is not specified, it can be played many different ways.
