also remember he has had an emergency operation on his septum and still performed. So quite a few live performances sound like he is short of breath or hoarse. Check out the performance in Iraq if you want to hear music similar to the recorded sound. Stricken in particular was almost exact and sometimes suffers from changes in style at live performances.

This was before his surgery so yea his voice was little messed up back then, cause of the realy bad acid reflux.

He still kicked ass back then, and has gotten even better after the surgery.

I saw them live in Richmond VA back in May 08and David's voice sounded just like the CD.

yeah. when did david have his surgery? becasue i have seen videos all around the same time frame(within a month or 2 of eachtoher).. and some he sounds AMAZING.. and others sound like shit. I LOVE david and think hes amazing.. but he does sound very bad here. when he says "ten thousand fists in the AIR".. whe he says "air".. he cracks SO bad.

It is just a regular Sony digital camera. I think it's all about where you are sitting in the arena (for sound anyway). Course it doesn't hurt that my boyfriend is a camera/sound engineer! :)
