Yeah this is also the first FF game I ever played... replaying it now. The storyline makes a lot more sense to me. I wouldn't go as far as to call it 'deep' but there are definitely some parallels to our world.

Anyone notice that they really nerfed this (and a bunch of other non critical songs) in the PC version of the game? It almost sounds like their diminished it to MIDI quality, blech.

I love this intro music. There's a definite influence of this by Ravel's Bolero, except Uematsu added a rousing melody and brought it to a better climax.
