I think she should have been allowed to spin again also, but I think the fact that she spun so terribly caused Bob to not think about that and DQ her.
The same thing happened a few years ago! In the 1990s at some time. They had a bonus spin and also a spin-off, the first girl didn't get the wheel all the way around and she had to go again but it wasn't a bonus spin and she got a dollar xDDD But that was lame how they disqualified Ayodele =/ I wish they would at least give her something for that mistake..
LMAO at 7:37-7:56...Bob SPECIFICALLY said the wheel HAS to go all the way around at least once, and she did it the puny way hahaha, but SP84Fanatic is right...she should've had another spin for the spin-off only, as her bonus spin did not count...
Right you are, SP84Fanatic. And that brings up this question: What would have happened if Billy hadn't gotten the wheel all the way around? Would the contestant from the second showcase showdown have automatically won his/her showcase? Indeed, that was one of Bob's biggest gaffes as host of TPIR. Roger (former producer) should have gotten his attention as Ayodele left the stage.
I'm sure Bob would proclaim a "historic moment" in that it was the first time two contestants were disqualified in the showcase showdown after failing to get the wheel all the way around. But then, the producers and/or S&P would have raised a red flag and inform him of his mistake. I would imagine that they would let Ayodele and Billy do a bonus spin/spinoff again and by then, Bob would properly know what to do if either of them doesn't get the wheel all the way around.

Bob made a large error in the showcase showdown. Ayodele should have been allowed another spin, just for the spinoff. I'm surprised one of the producers or Standards & Practices didn't stop tape or inform Bob of his mistake during the commercial.
At about the 7:40 mark of this clip, you can see one of Bob's biggest mistakes as host of Price: Disqualifying Ayodele in the bonus spinoff. Look up the clip called "Price is Right: Showcase Showdown- $1.00 with a twist." That clip also has a bonus spinoff that happened on June 16, 1994. There, you'll see what Barker did in that clip when this happened...and what he should have done here.
Oh man! THIS was the episode where a contestant was (wrongfully) disqualified for not getting her bonus/spin off spin all the way around.
Bad decision by Bob. She still should have spun again in this instance, and I would know because it happened once before, and the contestant DID spin again to determine who went to the Showcase.
I wonder what was going through Bob's mind as Ayodele didn't get all the way around. I'm surprised that Roger, Fingers, or Phil didn't say something during the commercial. Technically, she was allowed to spin again, just to get a score for the Showcase Showdown. I wonder if Standards & Practices realized Bob's error or not.

It's a wonder the audience didn't start booing at 6:21.

What do you suppose would have happened if Billy didn't get the wheel all the way around in HIS bonus spin?

That was just plain wrong of Bob to DQ Ayodele the way he did.

Luckily, the judge didn't give her a long buzzer after that bad spin.
