MAN! Japanese Horror Punk/Hardcore Band and its members are friends of Misfits and Suicidal Tendencies fans? MY FAVOURITE BAND! Sorry, Misfits, you are legends.... Balzac For Life!
@chomp500 dude thats ignorant of u. do ur research. Balzac was HEAVILY influenced by The Misfits. a lot of things they do are similar to the misfits, including the style (except this video). they are very a like, and they work together often
they definitely have an emotional appeal that The Misfits never could have had, but that just makes them more different from eachother. liking both is fine i think
I'm liking this a lot - it's heavy, it's melodic, it rocks the fuck out! ANd there's a definite nod to pop-punk in the chorus! Yeah, I'd buy this album . . .
They have been one of my favorite bands for the past 3 years but I didn't even know this new record existed. Somehow I totally missed it, anyway this is the only song I've heard so far and while it is good I hope the whole record doesn't have this feel to it. It feels kinda the same but totally different as well. For one thing where the fuck are all the "whoa's"
i am a huge misfits fan. i heard about these guys from the misfits and i decided to check them out. and woah this is some of the coolest music i have ever heard. this is the first song i heard from this band and i already love them and btw im not even through listening to the whole song yet. wow amazing!
I really Don't like where this band is heading, I mean there's nothing wrong with changed evolution and all that crap, But I liked them much more with their skeletons outfits and the whole paper bag serial killer thing it set them apart from all the other generic J-hardcore music, they used to be a true Horror punk band.
This song reminds me of Into the Light of the 13 Dark Night single but even way better !!! I was kind of puzzled where this band was heading with this but it was well produced ... Keep up the BadAss Work!!!
Honestly this is what makes Balzac such a great band, they're willing to experiment rather than limiting themselves to rewriting the same songs like most punk bands succumb to these days. I've been a fan for years so I loved them as horror punk, but I love to see them do new things too, this is great!
im with ya. of course i like their old sound and i hope they don't completely abandon it, but as long as what theyre doing now is still pleasing to the ear i dont mind. it was definitely a little hard for me to accept at first though since theyre my favorite band haha
Balzac has always dabbled in industrial. Most of their albums have a few industrialish songs, but they remain with the punk sound for most everything else. Seems like people are freaking just because they made one of their industrial pieces a single.
The only thing that really changed about Balzac is their image. I guess they didn't feel like wearing skeleton suits forever.
@Cenamark2 umm tbh yea they always dabbled in industrial but it seems the past two albums were mostly industrial and the few punk songs they have are super punk rock songs...i listen to them for their catchy punk rocks songs, thought i dont have a problem with their new stuff either...ya get sick of writing the same thing over and over plus i like this song anyway
what happened to the good ol horror punk balzac, i thought i was watching mtv cause the intro sounds exactly like mtv's old music lol, its alright i guess, shitty compared to the old balzac
yea i miss the odl balzac, but i dont blame them. ya just get tired of playign the same shit after awhile. this still rocks though i probly played it liek 50 times already...seems like no matter what they do they remain awesome.
Fuck yeah, thats is all

If more bands in the U.S. could be liek this or the old 70's/80's Punk rock bands, we could revive the PUnk Rock genre.
Because the modern day Punk (Blink-182, Good Charlotte, etc.) sucks.
