@gbhobson Grow up! Legalize drugs and drug lords are destroyed in one shot. The US only stops 3-5% of the drugs coming into this country so legalizing them will not translate into more use...It will just put a lot of arrogant cops on the street looking for a real job. Legalization would be good in so many ways but nope...The Gov would lose a lot of power over us if they did.

You're speaking from an expected self-centered position. Of course you automatically assume that everyone will be a responsible adult if weed is legalized. Of course you assume that idiots won't become and even bigger drain on the medical system, let alone the judicial and executive branches. Nope, you only think of yourself. Or is it that you *want* society to be degraded even further? Either way you're a piece of guano ~ get educated and think of someone other than yourself for once.

@gbhobson Self centered? No, I look at the facts and the facts are Cannabis does not kill half million people each year like Alcohol & Tobbacco does! The war on drugs is extremely expensive in man power & lives.Legalize, regulate and tax which would not only free up money it would generate money. If legal then how does it creae a bigger drain on the Judicial&executive, IT DON'T!
The drain on society is the war on drugs just like alcohol prohibition...THINK!

Legalizing it would only lead to more widespread (drug-induced) crime, which as a result also further bogs down the courts system and police forces, increases the likelihood of medical treatments, and would lead to even greater incidences of promiscuity, poor judgement and lower intelligent. You're delusional if you think legalization would reduce crime, adolescent delinquency and burden on society as a whole.

Not true...None of those things happen in societies where legalization has taken place...Your arguement is old and has been proven false time and time again. You need to look at the facts & the history. The laws are what create the black market & the crime...Prohibiton did not stop alcohol use just as drug laws today do not stop it...The laws do not even slow it down as it is easy to get anything you want already!

No, the laws don't create the black market and crime ~ people not abiding by the laws create the black market and crime. In case you're unaware, laws are a mandate from the population (majority rule). It will be a sad day if that crap ever gets legalized. I suppose it's just shear coincidence that the states with the most liberal enforcement are also states with the worst economies and worst crime rates (juvenile delinquency, violent crimes as well as drug-related crime).

@moteintheeye Which "god" should I thank? There are literally thousands of gods that humans have created over time. Some are no longer used while many still are...So, should I just pick one or is there a special one I should thank? Or should I go with the demi-god Jesus since you mentioned him...Jesus is really not original considering he has adopted many of the same traits that many demi-gods b4 him had. Other than he is popular in western cultures there really is nothing unique about him

You have it backwards. The other "gods," really demons, have tried to counterfeit Him. Don't confuse what others celebrate about Him or say about Him with reality. Churches, even the best of them, are man-made and are not perfect and will become corrupted either sooner or later the further they are from the source. Jesus, all God and all man not part or demi anything is the Ultimate Source. His Words, His attributes, His Person is the original.

@moteintheeye So, why did your deity wait so long in human history to come teach, help, save, man...There are religions still practiced today that have been around much longer than your religion has. How do you know you have the right deity? Or, lets be honest you have the deity of your parents & culture. There is nothing divine about it you simply adopted the deity of western society. Had you been born in Iraq you would be pushing Islam as the one true religion.
