I wasn't planning on nursing, but his NICU doctor said it was best for him. So I pumped my milk for ten weeks and when he came home I nursed him full time. This is a beautiful video! 2 bad American girls R'nt taught about breast feeding in sex ed classes. I gave birth to 5 beautiful babies. I tried 2 brest feed them all but it didn't happen. The last 2 were breast fed well up till at least 3 months. Too many old wives tales and b/s abound about breast feeding. Too many ppl pushing for infant formulas in the hosp. for kick backs. Wow. I'm really sick and tired of people saying breast milk is the way to go. If this IS the truth, then how come so many mothers don't do it anymore? They say breast milk is no different than baby formulas you buy at the store. Reason being is because whatever is in the foods the mother eats will also show up in breast milk. Most affordable foods are not very healthy. My mother went with baby formulas instead of breast milk. I turned out fine and also I've had a high IQ since childhood!

As far as I know, in the U.S., breast feeding is encouraged. The only time it was discouraged was war time when women had to join the work force and the gerber company promoted formula. But, we are now going back to breast feeding.

@JinxTotal Logic? Eating in a bathroom is logical? Do YOU want to eat in a bathroom? of course not, so why should a baby have to? Not every breast will take a pump and not every baby will take a bottle. If you're so scared of the boob, then don't look. But you may want to stay away from beaches, pools, and magazine covers too, since there is a lot of boob shown there too. Hope you get over your phobia soon!

People who don't approve of public breast feeding have forgotten what breasts are for, and use their prude and uninelligent ways to hinder the healthy development of newborns. Wow. I'm really sick and tired of people saying breast milk is the way to go. If this IS the truth, then how come so many mothers don't do it anymore? They say breast milk is no different than baby formulas you buy at the store. Reason being is because whatever is in the foods the mother eats will also show up in breast milk. Most affordable foods are not very healthy. My mother went with baby formulas instead of breast milk. I turned out fine and also I've had a high IQ since childhood!

@maktorri9 so many mothers dont do it because its alot of work very painful & just a pain in the butt to do if you have to go to work. baby formula isnt as good as the real thing and alot of babies die from it or have allergies to milk. not everybody and do cows drink human milk no..so why should human babies drink cows milk? human milk is made for human babies. its selfish not to breastfeed but nowadays it is very hard to do it. ive done it twice and it is alot of work.

@maktorri9 Breast IS best [grnted mom is healthy] There are a lot of nutrients that simply aren't found in formula.It's much like a comparison to fresh fruits and vitamins..fruits are the better source.As far as formula being toxic or no good, i was formula fed and i've been pretty healthy.

Sure, you can have a high I.Q without it, but it also aids in healthy digestion and immunity, among many things. If babies were meant to drink formula, the breast would not provide something better.

Breasts start producing milk when the baby is born, babies are meant to suckle the breast. The same hormones that ur body released during sex and birth are released during breastfeeding. Ok I understand that breastfeeding is natural and its nothing to be ashamed of, my son was breastfed for his first year, however i think its slightly inappropriate to have such a volume of breastfeeding videos on youtube. As far as I know, in the U.S., breast feeding is encouraged. The only time it was discouraged was war time when women had to join the work force and the gerber company promoted formula. But, we are now going back to breast feeding.
