@francescccca Feck off I am dreading the winter again i Live in Rural Scotland we had 4ft of snow in two days i could not get to work for over a week and did not get paid for it. My car and the trains were snowed in . Yeah pretty it maybe but pretty shitty when the government cant even get themselves organised to clear the roads and get the trains running. A lot of people died last winter because the emergency services could not get their vehicles out . Hate the winter and snow in Scotland.
@cheesemaster1000 I know, our spring's are hotter than our summers but then the wind chill in the spring makes it feel cold. As long as we have an interesting snowy winter I don't mind too much.
@Insulaintercalx I live in Pittsburgh which is way snowier than most of the big cities in Europe but not as snowy as the cities I listed. We finished the year with 150 cm of snow which is 50 cm above average.
look at us...GREAT brittain, are we fuck, cant even handle a few inches of snow.
i hear all these people "i crashed my car, and i even had SNOW TYRES on. i just SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES and it would not stop" IDIOTS! i have no sypathy for these people.
i drive everywhere, fast, and i am yet to loose control and cause an accident in the snow! propper fannies!
@MYKEGREGORY I agree I always go the speed limit in the snow and never slide or crash. If idiots would know how to break by breaking slowly and not jamming them in the snow they wouldn't crash.
@cheesemaster1000 The motto is 'weather happens'. Scientific theories are supposed to fit with the reality of the situation, or else they get thrown out. But the global warming people take no notice of the reality of the situation, and simply find a remote part of the world, where the general public would not venture. Because these areas are so remote, there is no danger of public scrutiny of their findings. You may have noticed that.
@sreymind This global warming issue has, of course, become even more politically complicated. Now it has become a matter of defending the reputations of those scientists who had made the assertions in the first place. As their science does not match with the real world, they must quote that climate changes are occurring in far-away places that are beyond the reach, and most importantly the scrutiny, of the people in the street.
@zeesham13 No problem with the Gulf Stream. If that scaremongering was even remotely true, then how would you explain the UK's above average April 2011 temperatures? This month I have noted temperatures up to 26 degrees C (79 degrees F). We entirely depend upon the Gulf Stream, and it's clearly working just fine. The real truth is that we occasionally get bad winters, and December 2010 was merely the worst since December 1981.
you can see how "advanced" mankind is. A bit of snow and that's it :) Be prepared for 2 to 3 meters of snow in the near future. Your economy will just implode.
Was Stuck on M25 for 8 hours. Flew home (N. Ireland) and car infront got stuck on a snowy hill and crashed into me. In the end 5 cars ended up at the bottom of the hill. :( My poor insurance
@jackd166 That's unlucky, I was at a Jaguar showroom in Guildford earlier and one of their new cars was driving down an ungritted slope and went straight into a brick wall. It was cringeworthy to watch.
come over to canada, if you think this is snow, then ud hate it over here.

They already have: Roger Highfield in the Telegraph 3rd Dec.
This after Charles Onians in the Independent in 20th March 2000 said snowfall would be a thing of the past and children wouldn't know what it is.
