Nice video mate, very informative and a good demonstration of the system in use. One question however, I have booked my Mark V Golf in to have the CK3000 fitted and have been told that it will not work with the phone button on the steering wheel, how did you get it to work?
I have a blackberry phone and just acquired a 2006 Jetta Sedan. I need to pair it. please i'd appreciate any useful advise. Email me at vikem1969@gmail.com
The initial loud phone ring actually came from my cell phone, if you listen there's a quieter ring in the background that's coming through the car stereo. For whatever reason my cell phone still rings when it's paired to another device.
Yes, a very good kit connecting the Parrot kit with the steering wheel control of hte car. I am using it with my GTI. Same as those factory installed. Really like it!
Hey, I'm a little confused & need your help. I have an '06 GLI & want to be able to use the bluetooth feature in the car. I went to Best Buy here in San Diego & they said that I need the Parrot kit & I HAVE TO USE THE SCREEN that comes with the kit to be able to use the bluetooth through the stereo. I don't want more junk in the car, I want to be able to use the steering wheel & the dash only. Also, do I need the harness + kit, or????? Is it different with an iPhone? Thanks!
@mando515 The Parrot kit I used here didn't come with a screen - it only had a three-button remote control that I threw out. You should be able to get it to work without any visible components.
You'll need both the harness and the kit - the kit provides the mic and bluetooth receiver, and the harness is what lets you wire the kit to the car.
I actually don't have this car anymore, so I don't know about iPhone compatibility. Sorry about that.

Just got this. There is a new harness that makes the install even easier. Highly Recommended.

Awesome. It costs close to $200 on the parrotkits website. I will be thinking hard about ordering this. Thanks!

So I need the Parrot 3000 Evolution kit and the steering wheel controller from parrotkits dot com?

Where do you get this from?

Made a mistake here; I'm actually using a CK3000, not a 3100.

awesome. I've always thought that phone button on my steering wheel was useless - now it has a new purpose.
