  • @tehLoshMi95 don't have much time to practice because so much work to do, this is just performance test.

  • you guys test crysis in all laptops all we the same settings isnt it?

  • Would anyone say that video card is any good? I'm thinking of getting a laptop but I want something that can run any real nice game.

I'm looking at an M15x it seems pretty good but is this a good video card?

  • i have a intel core i5 520 m with an geforce gt330m and i can run this game on high specs with no lagg ore low fps so id say buy a laptop with an i5 in it its the best for sutch high demaning games as crysis.

  • HAAAAAAAAAAAAX

  • The 330m is slightly better than the 240m. If you compare this with running Crysis you will notice a slight improvement. So if you have a 240m and want to upgrade, wait.

  • hye guys.. isnt it alienwareM11x with 1GB nvidia GeForce 335m is better than this alienware M15x 512MB GDDR3 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 240M? please rply.. im about to buy a new laptop but really confused T.T

  • how si the 330m GT card compared to this one?

  • Might as well buy the Alienware M15x look Better and is almost the same price

  • the processor on m15 is shit

  • @miutubevids The processor on the M15x is an i7 720qm, how is that shit?

  • @rainerius

Soz its different in Australia and my friend has a slightly older version

  • @miutubevids AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • wonder this but only with GTX 260M!!!!! beautiful !!!

  • mine is acer aspire 7738G, with core 2 quad at 2Ghz, 4 GB ram, Nvidia Geforce GT 240M GDDR3 and my screen is 17.3''. this tech specs runs crysis smooth on high with AA but at times it can get slow. it might only work this well because the GT 240M has built in PhysX.

  • Take off FSAA oo then take of shadows completely and then run it you'll see it fly!

Nice laptop and video well done...

My Acer has the same 240GT DDR3 except a higher end Intel CPU and bigger screen....18.4 My Laptop fly's i am so happy with my purchase... I am sad they do not sell them anymore in my area after they sold hundreds of them they are now selling the same laptop at 17.4 inches at half the price with the same stuff inside exceptit has ATI card inside.

  • wait a sec, is your acer aspire 8735G? if it is, then we have the same laptop. bought it 2 weeks ago and loved it. 18 inch rocks!

  • Ya dude I got 8735G-6472 Acer Aspire Laptop 240GT 18.4 inch hahaha you got the same it's a sick fast Laptop plays all the games.. no problem so far for me..

  • what a coincidence! i was going 2 buy the 8735G when i can afford it!!! (if u wonder im 14 years old so i have to save some money)

  • got it for 1000 dollars(canadian). its a pretty kickass labtop considering its price, tho it doesn't match up to those gaming laptops that could easily cost 1.5k. runs mass effect 2, dragon age, modern warfare 2 on max with slight low resolution with little to no lag.

  • im gonna buy it for 9000 NOK. thats like 1600 canadian dollars :(

  • PS: NOK is the norwegian currency

  • wow, expensive. but worth it, i guess.

  • wow man you got a 240GT with 1 gig of DDR3 ram on it with your laptop!!! wow.

  • I have the same laptop, and i never tested Crysis on him! It looks awesome =D

  • how much did you pay for the laptop?

  • how high in performance will my tec spec's run on crysis: intel core 2 quad 2.0GHZ, 4G ram, nVIDIA GeForce GT 240m DDR3?

  • @puzzleman991 Acer 7738G? :D I have the same specs, tbh 1024x768 no AA and all details maxed out scores about 19-23 avg fps :D it's pretty smooth

  • not shure but i think u will run smooth on all set to medium and with some lag at high, but im not sure in wich res...

  • @ puzzleman911

  • I've got the same laptop as you expect with a 2.2ghz. Basically, you'll want to play the same settings as this guy, and you'll get 20-23fps. Anti-aliasing and the 'shaders' setting kill the performance about 5fps each so they'll have to be off/medium respectively. The game looks really muddy outside of native resolution, but unfortunately AA can only be turned on with shaders! So... expect most effects on but lots of blurry lines.

  • this is very helpful in deciding whether to get a new laptop, probably runs about the same as my desktop.

  • On what settings i can play this, and to get 25+fps,on this laptop specs.:

    nVIDIA GeForce GT 240M 1GB

    4GB RAM

    intel core 2 duo T6600 @2.2ghz

    Please answer!!!!

  • Not very high. The 2,2 dual cpu wouldnt be able to play along so well.

  • i know this is kind of a stupid question but arnt demos usually easier to run than the actual game?

  • No because they aren't updated very much, which often include bugfixes and improve performance for newer hardware.

  • Why would you think that?

  • well it seems like the demo wouldnt be the complete game. like its only 1 level, so it might not be as hard to run.

  • The demo is simply the entire first level of the full game. You play a level one at a time, so the performance should be the same, know what I mean?

Why would the demo perform better?

  • If anything it would perform worse, since it's the demo, and isn't as optimized as the complete patched final version.

  • he thinks that because the rest of the game become more hardware intensive. The Ice levels of crysis bring the fps down a lot

  • hmmm that is weird because when my 8800 ultra still worked, the best fps were on the ice levels

  • depending on the card performans

  • man. i bought a acer as7738 with this card. I just cant get it to work optimally. Installed latest nvidia driver. But its the same. im really having a bad fps atm. trying to solve it. Anyone tried the same ?

  • not so bad just the centrino 2 inside sucks!!

  • a 240m GT should be better then a 9800m GTS shouldn't it? Any way i have a 9600m GT...T.T i want 2 upgrade i think my laptop can take a 9800m GT which is almost as good as the GTS version lolz

  • 240m = 9700m in terms of performance.

  • With half the power consumption.

    GT 240M = 23 Watt TDP

    9700M GT = 45 Watt TDP

  • That is amazing, very impressive!!!

  • Thank you.

  • will there be a big difference if i run it with 512 GT 240M rather than 1GB GT240m

  • should run in DX9, youll get muc better FPS with no visual difference (really)

  • Which card is better?

    A 9800M GTS? Or a GT 240M?

  • 9800m gts

  • Thanks dude.

  • I'm considering getting this laptop now.

  • get it get it get it!! :D

  • did you record the game with fraps?

  • which one of this video cards its better??

Ati HD 4650 vs NV GT 240M

  • They are pretty much the same.

  • that ait bad at all wow as it is the demo there isent any updates and i no the updates helps the fps Loads!!!

  • playable 1280x720 high^_^

  • that is the power of the 4000 series GPU :D

  • WOOPS! Never mind i made a mistake.......anyway the 46** can still play these games near high :)
