Cleopatra VII's half sister may had Persian skeleton but not African for sure. The had married they own brothers and sisters there is no Egyptian blood in Greek or Egyptian History
@marcus also Marcus Africans do have specific lineages, their common lineages would be non-African but lineages that have been assimilated into the continent such as J1, ect.
African specific lineages happen to be the most divergent (A,B) and then E which was said to be a subset of D, but given the Yap marker origin (80%+West Africa) (9.6% Asia lol) Yap marker gave berth to Asians which means Africans are your father.
And saying E is Asian is saying West Africans (so-called Negroids) are Asians
rahotep their is no evidence of what Cleopatra looked like, the evidence was small accounts of her not being an attractive women, but very intellectually attractive given her brilliant but deceptive mind.
There is also an account by an Greek playwriter who talks about the Greek ship she came from, being inhabited of nothing but pitch black inhabitants. She may have came from the Macedonian Greek dynasties, but doesn't necessarily mean at heart she was Greek or fully Greek.
@davidcici11 - I disagree on Cleopatra eing of possible mixed race heritage. We do not know who her grandmother was on her father's side. Her grandmother was the mistress (not the wife) of her grandfather, Ptolemy IX. Because nothing is known about this person, the assumption has always been that she was a Macedonian Greek, like the other members of Ptolemy's court. Like other Greeks, the Ptolemies were wary of foreigners. They kept themselves apart from the native populations....
@bgibb101 your right, their is no true evidence, but given Cleopatra half sister having a so-called Negroid cranial she is probably half if not wholly African. Their is no true evidence other then that that would determine Cleopatra ethnicity, but meaning its a Macedonian dynasty doesn't neccessarily mean their were no native Egyptians.
But during this time, they most likely mixed and diluted the native population to a certain extent I think the African context was still in place.
@davidcici11 - ....brothers usually married sisters, or uncles married nieces, or in one case a father marrying his daughter (Ptolemy IX and Cleopatra Berenice III). Because the Ptolemies seemed to prefer to marry among themselves, even incestuously, it has always been assumed that Cleopatra's grandmother was closely connected with the family. If she had been a foreigner, one of the Roman writers would have mentioned it in their invectives against Cleopatra as an enemy of the Roman state.
When will the afrocentrics realize that Africa is a continent, not a race. Egypt=not black, Morocco=not black, ancient Carthage=not black. The bust of Cleopatra in the Berlin Museum doesn't resemble a black woman at all. Wake up and face the facts.Open your eyes and your minds!!!!! Study history and look at real artifacts.
@celeriacmarcus Phoenicians carried E-M78 given the greater diversity factor, M78 peaks in Somalia at 85% Europe 6% middle East 5% not likely that is a European marker, and even if it was the E haplogroup is united by the Pn2 clade. P2 /M2 P2/M35 (M2 West/Central/South/East Africa) (M35 East/Horn/Europe/Middle East) the father of both groups is P2, so they are both related that would be like me saying one of my sisters is black, and the other is white lol. Carthage is and was always African
You're using African in a racial context. Africa is a continent, not a race. Looking at ancient artifacts from Carthage I see only Caucasian people. You don't see blacks in North Africa, accept recent immigrants. This was so as far back as the early days of ancient Egypt. I don't understand how some people can look at Cleopatra's bust and claim her to be even 1% black. Same goes for Septimius Severus.
the funniest thing of all is vsome people think caucasion means european when it does not.You have people classified as caucasion from east africa to kenya and west africa from nigeria and sierra leon ,:ie somalis, luos, masia, hausa, fulanis, taureg all from africa. Also most people from india subcontinent classified as caucasion except for extreme north and east india,.and last but not least you have europeans
Im glad we now know through DNA that Cleopatra s family was a mixture of African and Greek so there is no more question about this.I guess the maker of this video never seen Somalis or Ethiopians who look white in facial features but are a mixed blood people both african and caucasion in ancestry
@rahotep101 lol but we have your video based off conjecture as fact? sounds like your just ejaculating out of your mouth by saying whatever sounds nice to you...smh
egypt is in africa but yet her queen is show white lol, thats like saying elizabeth the queen of england was black. this video is another attempt for white people to claim another peoples history.
@rahotep101 If you really knew the history behind the movie which Elizabeth portrayed Cleopatra then you would know that the director said he wanted an all black cast but it wouldn't be excepted into Hollywood. And an all black race couldn't carry the movie alone. Cleopatra was light skinned. Mixed with Greek, and African. Let black people have their history, Europeans already have a history of stealing. (U.S.) It would be easy to take poor Africa! Why are braids and Gold Worn by most blacks.
@China6296 This sounds like a myth to me, and if true it would only reveal the director's ignorance. Black people have their history and Egypt, especially Ptolemaic Egypt, is not part of it, bar the odd Nubian who was far from home. Egypt was inhabited by the same sort of people by which it is still inhabited, and there is not a shred of evidence to link Cleopatra (who was of Macedonian lineage) to negroes. Braids... Please!
@raphotep101 99.9% white blood, with 0.1% remains black by the black man's standard. I don't get it, why are fight so hard for Egypt's history, when GOD took his hand of them. Before the Arabs came, they were lowly people. Nothing to be proud of.
Black as a race doesn't have breeding standard. Black isn't a race. Example, Mexican and Black, remains black. Black with 99.9% if know to have black in it remains black. So if you go by your standard. Elizabeth could be depict as Cleopatra. Because today there are many people who are actually white claiming themselves as black. Your group need to stop letting any one be black before you can say what some can't be. Work on a breed standard before you work on anything else. Why would you want To
@rahotep101 black is a race. Any one mixed with west African can be black. Some English breed blacks can range from Chinese to some one dominated with European genes, and still be considered pure, by both the English standard and the mix breed who follow his rules. No way in Hell was Cleopatra or any Egyptian a west African. If you are an American? The west African is your father. Etheopian you'd have some agreement. But your west african ancestors? No! Heck to be honest black Americans should
@rahotep I'm going say cleopatra was mix for argument sake. Now do you honestly believe 3000-4000 years ago were defining themselves to the English definition. The English made a silly rule, if mixed with Bantu/jet black African with white? you remain a pure African.. The original Egyptians breed for there color to be gold. They were not white, nor were they Black. They hated both extremes in their time.
" Joel Freeman's about ancient egyptians".com That is why sphinxs and statues were mutilated. We all know europeans took over Egypt, America, Africa etc.
@alynnshw Please. Freeman is a feel-good guru, not an historian. I have done a video debunking his narrative, which is mostly long-discredited afrocentric tripe regurgitated. Anyone who tells you Cleopatra or the ancient Egyptians were black Africans the same as American negoes is either a deluded fool or is selling something. Freeman is in the latter group. The sphinx was not defaced by Napoleon but by an Islamic iconoclast centuries previously, and not because of its racial appearence.
@rahotep101 Though I agree with your video at 1:49 where egyptian people bc looked that way, they still were not snow white. They even looked more mexican or native islanders. But to put up pics of women at 5:18 and say they are half egyptian, I can put up pics and say someone is anything, people evolve over time, comparing egyptian now after european takeover and mixture opposed to bc times there are totally different looks period.
@alynnshw Egyptians haven't mixed with Europeans to any significant extent, ever. The small foreign elites that ruled the country in post-pharaonic times wouldn't have made much impact on the general population.
In stark contrast to the picture of blacks being painted by those who favored the slave trade -- anthropologists and archaeologists were discovering more statues and other artifacts which presented a different view. Black people had indeed created the many pyramids and other artifacts. What to do? The Egyptians had left behind a huge "Picture Album".
In the early 1800s, around the same time Egyptian Archaeology was maturing, the Middle Passage (slave trade) was in full swing. In order for Europeans to justify the economic drive of the slave trade, blacks had to be viewed as non-humans. Animals. Tools for building the dreams of Europeans.
By the way, those pics you have of cleopatra are not even all her dummy, the two pics on right, one is a man, and one is a totally different woman. You just threw a bunch of silly pics in video. The pic on left top corner is her however, and I believe her nose is wide, and why does she always have braids? Is that common with white women? Braids? Compare that hair to the other pics, totally diferent.
Anyone can look at a pic of cleopatra on the egyptians walls and see she was dark, with thick full hair, not caucasian hair. How many Europeans survive in Africa's hot sun? Really? And The main reason white people don.t want to admit she was mixed with black is because she seduced two powerful white men and she was just as powerful. Common sense. I love Liz and Angelina, but if they had a real Cleopatra with dark skin, the world would be apalled to believe these men wanted her.
@mike3000gt7 Lol. Just like those same artifacts that depict the ancient Egyptians as black and brown skinned. The bust of Nefertiti in Germany is a fake. A bust of Cleopatra is located in Germany also. If the bust of Nefertiti was proven to be fake after almost 100 years, then what makes you think the bust of Cleopatra was accurate. They have just proven they have no credibility. Nice try but your lies and ignorance can't fool me.
@rahotep101 What does your video prove. The bust of Nefertti in Germany cannot be verified authentic. So you expect me to believe the bust of Cleopatra that they have is accurate. I'm not going to argue with you anymore because its useless. It's quite sad though how other races love to steal black culture. But that's alright there will never be another civilization that would ever compare to the anicent Egypt. So I can understand how you and others would like to steal it.
@lorenzo8500 The bust of Nefertiti in Berlin can be verified, as the paint on it has been carbon dated and found to be 3000 years old. The theory that it is a 20th century fake requires it to have been painted with ancient paint, which is ridicuous! The features also happen to match those of contemporary mummies, especially the younger lady from tomb KV35. Its only negrocentric fucktards who wish to steal Egyptian culture in order to give themselves a mythical ancestry and bury their real past.
CLEOPATRA DIDN'T HAVE THE SPF 80 SUN SCREEN FOR HER TO HAVE BEEN A QUEEN OF EGYPT.... LOL WHITE WOMEN DIE OF SKIN CANCER TO OFTEN FOR THIS WHITE CLEOPATRA TO HAVE BEEN TRUE....
@ramencrip Do you imagine no whites managed to live in Cape Town or Johannesburg, which are the same distance from the equator as Alexandria is? Do you think the first Boers to show up in the Transvaal had sunblock? Do you think there is a country in the whole of Africa that Europeans failed to conquer at some point?
@rahotep101 Ancient Egyptians used oil of fenugreek to fade freckles&age spots, which furthermore proves no Black Egypt. & used "kohl" eyeliner for blocking the harsh sun as modern sunglasses. The cosmetic uses of kohl and henna have their roots in north Africa. Melanocortin1 Receptor Gene (MC1R) is the gene responsible for freckles. The gene is at least 250,000 years older than the genes responsible for creating black people (sub-saharan) There is no black Egypt,no black people who founded Egypt
Who cares she dead now.... Do it matters think about real thing in life that happening NOW.. Thats was a long long long time ago move on .. Who ever cares is dumb!!!! Get It
Cleopatra is 100% Greek, there is just no evidence to point another way, even if she was mixed, or 1/8 or 1/4 African, the evidence of her portrayed by artists of her time, shows her to be Caucasian. Pride is good and healthy, false pride is the opposite.
@KnightlyWhite Theres no EVIDENCE that states she was GREEK neither!! matter of fact theres no real proof that the ancient GREEKS WERE EVEN OF WHITE STOCK LMAO!!
@PharaohII She was a direct descendant of Ptolemy I Soter one of Alexander the Great's generals. Do you even know anything about history?
Secondly, the Ptolemy dynasty of Egypt practiced incest rather regularly. Cleopatra was married to her own brother for christ's sake. Also, the Ptolemy family refused to speak egyptian and only spoke Greek. Cleopatra being the first to use the Egyptian language in her dynasty.
Roman statues of Cleopatra, depict her as a greek. Also, you are dumb so shut up.
@Phalanx3800 You are talking OUT of your ass.. Secondly there is not REAL PROOF OF WHAT THESE PEOPLE ACTUALLY LOOKED!! These reported statues they found are FRAUDS.. They refuse to do a carbon test on the statues. Third there is no REAL TEXT ON THE PTOLEMY FACT!!! THERE IS NO TEXT ON THIS FICTION CULTURE TO MAKE EGYPT SEEM WHITE!! lmao go read a real book with some FACTS DISNEY BOY!!
geez..racism is still alive n well i see. arguing over the race of a single individual and becoming heated about it..shameful..even if Cleopatra was not black it doesn't take away from the.. many many many many.. African Kings and Queens of Egyptians or any other civilization that came before this one individual..Africas history is too vast to have tunnel vision based on deciphering a single persons race or gender. open your eyes..its a dishonor to African history to have this argument
Not a bad video but if you want to avoid the charge of racism yourself you might want to replace Negrocentric with Afrocentric. Afrocentric is more widely used in academia. The only people I see use the other word are internet racists. I don't disagree with you about head shape however when it comes to the Ancient Egyptians your portrait collage was highly selective. I don't know any serious anthropologists who deny a significant presence of tropically adapted ("Black") people in Ancient Egypt.
@PharaohMentuhotep It's true the montage I showed of Egyptians was selective and there were dark skinned ancients, but there are enough people on YT giving a selective view and only showing the other side of the picture.
@PharaohMentuhotep NOW lesten good that you never did 1) You user name title Pharaoh founder was Macedonian king Alexsander the Great's brother Ptolemy I Soter. 2) Stop you lies you can't change the all History, i understand your fell shame and YOU JOB IS trying to prove that EVERYTHING WAS EGYPTIAN AND EGYPT RULED THEMSELF ingor that Macedonian Cleopatra that you hated ruled your WEAK BRAIN, it's past what now?
@GreekCleopatraVII Don't ramble. Ptolemy I was not Alexander's brother. He was a general in his army who took over the Egyptian territory that was won from Persia. After Alexander's death his generals split of the lands they had helped conquer. Ptolemy started his own dynasty and appointed himself Pharaoh adopting the customs of native Pharaohs to earn the respect of the people. But the Ptolemies were not liked until Cleopatra VII who spoke Egyptian came to power. I'm not ashamed of any history.
@180drgrees The people who built the pyramids in 2500 BC looked like the people who built the Aswan Dam in the 1960s AD. The Egyptian population has undergone no fundamental change. But in Ptolemaic times a Greek elite held power, and it's unlikely any native blood flowed into the reigning dynasty.
@180drgrees Egyptians were related to Nubians, but they were not exactly alike. The people of Egypt and the Sudan looked very similar in the ancient past to they way they look now. The image Afrocentrists and their fellow travellers often show of Egyptians looking the same as Nubians is mislabelled. The typical Egyptian look was mid-way between the dark south look and the lighter peoples of the Middle East and the Maghreb. As for the sphinx myth, spare me, I have dealt with that elsewhere x 100.
If the Nubians live in Aswan and Luxor, they shouldn't be called Nubians, they should be called Egyptians BUT ofcourse they have to be seen as NUBIANS, because many FOREIGNERS in Egypt, want to be seen as Egyptians and even the user COPTIC LION, who is from Egypt, told me that the Copts are a minority in Egypt and the majority of the population are descendants of ARABS and TURKS BUT you wouldn't acknowledge that, because it doesn't go along with YOUR SAY, I see why they call you EURO FRAUDS.
@raidio1 There are Nubians in southern Egypt who are Egyptian citizens, but they are Nubian by ethnicity and culture. Coptic Christians are indeed the religious minority in Egypt (about 10%). Coptic Lion is a zealous Christian and, I suspect, is in denial (pun intended) about the fact that many Christians converted to Islam. But even if I Coptic Lion is right & the Christian Copts are the only Egyptians with Ancient Egyptian blood, that doesn't help your argument, because most Copts aint black!
@rahotep101 There are BLACK COPTS, you just don't acknowledge them BUT this is really NOT about BLACK & WHITE, so let's be realistic here, because we both seem to have our biasness & we both can be mislead, because it is a FACT, that North & South Egypt are inhabited by people of FOREIGN background and what you see in North Egypt as a Lightskin Egyptian could just another Turk, Mediterranean or Arab and what I see in the South as a Black Egyptian could just another dark Arab from Yemen or Saudi.
@raidio1 Yes there are 'black' Copts, and there are 'white' Copts. The majority are something in between and that's Ancient Egypt in a nut shell. Later, under Islam, the Christians could not marry or seek to convert Muslims in Egypt, but they could retain links with other Christians, which included the Ethiopians and Nubians, and seek to convert pagans like the Beja, so naturally there was scope for mixing there.
BTW, I'm waiting on that NAME, of the person who said the Egyptians and Colchians were dark skin and curly hair, so I can EXPOSE and DEBUNK them, they were BLACK and BLACK means BLACK but prove me wrong, by proving your SOURCE and the NAME of the HYPOCRITE who said it.
It is NOT African Americans making FAKE HOLLYWOOD movies every year about a FALSE WHITE EGYPT, & it is NOT AFRICAN AMERICANS making up FAKE DNA test & calling it 99% EUROPEAN & it is NOT AFRICAN AMERICANS making a FAKE NEFERTIT BUST & calling it real, that is YOUR people, EUROPEANS aka EURO-FRAUDS, your the REAL thieves of ancient Egyptian history and all I really want is for the Africans in SOUTH EGYPT to get their CREDIT for being the PIONEERS of Egypt, the ones who REALLY look like King TUT
@raidio1 No, you lot just make fake pop videos of a fake black Egypt. It's just you resorting to slander and false accusations, claiming any image or study that doesn't suit your prejudices is part of a conspiracy aimed at you, as if! it's just you who posts distorted images and images taken out of context, and spamming up every vid on YT to do with Egypt. On what basis do you dismiss genetic studies or scientific reports or the authenticiy of the Neferti bust? This is just crybabying. Grow up!
Sounds like another case of early 19th Century Racism, WAKE UP BOY, this is 2011 and there is NOTHING fake about the videos I make, the images I use are 100% RAW and ORIGINAL and they come straight from FLICKR.com and the people who take these Photos are all WHITE and the man who found the Nefertiti Bust was a FRAUD is also WHITE, now do you feel stupid, don't tell me to grow up, you just need to get REAL, because this is 2011 and your level of knowledge is ZERO (0).
@raidio1 You've yet to admit taking that black Osiris image out of context, & cropping off the light skinned Egyptian devotees. The Nefertiti bust was not discredited by an Egyptologist for good evidential reasons (unlike the Tetisheri statue which was exposed as a fake by Dr Davies of the British Museum). Rather all Egyptologists uphold its authenticity. Negrocenteists seize on such notions based on nothing but racial prejudice, and the ill-founded assumption that Egyptians were fellow blacks.
@raidio1 It's pathetic that you now resort to claiming to campaign on behalf of the southern Egyptians, because you only compare ancient Egyptian images to non-Egyptians! You are not interested in Egyptians, you are interested in black myth-making and self aggrandisement.
You make NO SENSE, the BEJA are Upper Egyptians and are the PUREST and less Arabized Upper Egyptians today and I use tribes like the AFAR, SOMALI and Ethiopians because they are more "HAMITIC" and less Arabized and less mixed than the people in Egypt and they are the people of ancient PUNT, who were the closest ETHNICALLY and PHYSICALLY to the ancient Egyptians, if all those FOREIGN INVASIONS had not happened, then we would have NO problem BUT HEY, it's REALITY, try it sometimes.
@raidio1 The Beja are not upper Egyptians, they are Cushistic nomads, mostly in Sudan, and they were never anything other than that. Settled Egyptians in the south of Egypt are Upper Egyptians, and although a darker in colour said southern Egyptians are still closer to northern Egyptians than they are to anyone else.
WRONG, they are known as the Bisharin, Ababda and the Hadendoa and they are of Beja stock that live in the areas of Aswan and some in Luxor and some are even "COPTIC", FAIL again FALSE one.
@rahotep101 The Nubians and Beja are indigenious to the Egypt and Sudan area and been there longer than anyone else and are the 1st tribes of CUSH and MIZRAIM or RETH and NEHESU, so what YOU calling Egyptian today are just some more FOREIGN TURKS, ARABS, SYRIANS,GREEKS, ROMANS, PERSIANS and FAKE GYPSIES, I see your the SPOKESMAN for FALSE FOREIGNERS who descend from INVADERS , oh that's because YOU are FALSE too, because why would a EURO BRIT name himself RAHOTEP, your kind was BORN a LIE.
@raidio1 The Ancient Egyptian never left Egypt and their descendants are the Copts. The Beja etc were just nomadic rustics on the fringes, not builders of pharaonic civilization. You know nothing about Egypt beyond distortions gleaned from afrocentrist websites. No invader of Egypt ever came from a land further away from it- geographically or culturally- than your disowned west african ancestors, who never went close ! You, my little friend, could not be more of a false foreigner.
"Omdas Sheikh Qamhat al'allaqi was the last remnant of one of Egypt's oldest surviving lineages. His death was widely considered the death knell for the Qamhat Bisharin.Egyptologist Emile Brugsch traced Qamhat Khawr Kiji tribal clans through female lines to the 20th Dynasty Wehem Mesut. The Bisharin Qamhat Khawr Kiji claim their ancestress was the mother of an even earlier dynasty"...(Beja People, Wikipedia).
@raidio1 I don't know why you fixate on the Beja, as they look as much like some modern Egyptians as like ancients, and usually they do not resemble negro west africans. Beja are nomands in a region that spills over into southern Egypt, but Copts are present in every part of Egypt, and are the descendants of the civilized ancient Egyptians.
Just because they are Nomadic doesn't make them uncivilized Savages, the Beja are a very peaceful people BUT they are fierce warriors on the battle field and they are struggling just as the Copts are, because of FOREIGN DOMINATION, just as when the Spanish and Europeans Conquered America, the native Mayans and other Indian tribes got pushed into reservations and are now on the bottom but both Coptic & Beja goes all the way back to He-Ka-Ptah and Medjay and Nubians as Nehesu.
@raidio1 The Beja are uncivilized by virtue of not being city dwellers. I was not disparaging them. Beja tribesmen were skillful and courageous warriors who gave the British (and the Egyptians) a very tough time during several 19th century wars in the Sudan.
They are NOT uncivilized, they are just resourceless and you do realize, IF YOU PAY ATTENTION to ancient Egyptian art, that ancient Egyptians was for the MOST part, lived a NOMADIC way of life and they were for the most part CATTLE HERDERS, your so busy looking at things in a BIAS manner, that you FAIL to see the REALITY.
@raidio1 My uncle is a farmer and has a herd of cattle, but he's not a nomad! Similarty Egyptians were mostly farmers they were settled on the land along the Nile where they planted their crops. They lived in villages, towns and cities. This is a bit different from the nomadic pastoralist lifestyle of the peoples further south.
@rahotep101 It is a fact that Coptic comes from He-Ka-Ptah and that refers to the city of Memphis and they are lightskin & have always been lightskin & tanned brown & the Nubians in the South of Aswan & Luxor have always been there & they are darker brown or Mahogany complected & then you have the Beja from the eastern deserts who fought for the GOD AMUN, so I am saying the Copts, Nubians & Beja are the closest thing to the ancients alive TODAY, one just live NORTH and the other live SOUTH.
@raidio1 In the south the Copts are as brown as anyone else, and the dominant Coptic dialect, Sahidic, was the dialect of southern Egypt. The Copts are not only a northern group but are present throughout Egypt, and are not distinguishable ethnically or phenotypically from the Muslim majority. So much as I may respect Coptic Lion, I can't support the view that the Muslims are not likewise the descendants of ancient Egyptians.
1st off, My ancestry is LOST, I am a descendant of SLAVES, so I have NO CHOICE but to claim the LOST and CONQUERED ancient Empires of Africa and as for your COPTS, the LAST PHARAOH FLED to NUBIA, the CHRISTIAN Bible says the EGYPTIANS were SCATTERED among NATIONS & DISPERSE through COUNTRIES and REPLACED by STRANGERS and the son of CLEOPATRA was EXILED to ETHIOPIA and than into INDIA and the ROMANS predate COPTIC CHRISATIANS, so ALL and ALL, you have NOTHING but YOUR SAY to RELY ON.
@raidio1 That your ancestry is lost doesn't give you the right to claim anyone else's! Newsflash! The Bible does not say the Egyptians were scattered among the nations, only contains an obscure prophecy which has yet to come to pass, & probably never will. Your absurd remarks about Romans predating Coptic Christians show how impossibly dense you are. Any idiot can graps the concept that ancient Egyptians mostly stayed put & coverted to Christianity!
COPTIC CHRISTIAN EGYPT started in 41 A.D, ROMAN EGYPT started in 30 B.C.E 111 years before COPTIC CHRISTIAN EGYPT, there's NOTHING more to say on that and last time I checked, tanned skin complected COPTS were BOWING down to a MILKY WHITE IMAGE of MARY and JESUS, Haha oh yeah, those are some real Africans for ya, now go throw your FALSE RHETORIC in the TRASH and STOP mixing it with HISTORICAL REALITY, the TRUTH is NOT meant for YOU.
I'm just stating what the Egyptians of 60 B.C.E said and I will agree that the Persians played the major role in destroying the native Kingship line and also, according Wedjahorresnet, (the Persians) Aryanized the population of Egypt 200 years prior to the arrival of Alexander and what people don't understand also, is when Herodotus called the Egyptians BLACK, he was reffering to the Egyptians of Thebes (Waset-Luxor) and they still are BLACK till this day & the purest live in Gurna.
@raidio1 They're not white, I'll grant you, that far south, but the're not exaclty negroes either, for the most part. They are not darker than the people of Bahrain, which is on about the same latitude. I don't think Herodotus gives the impression that there were huge numbers of Persian settlers in Egypt, only enough to govern and garrison it. Not enough to 'Aryanise' Egypt anymore than the British presence in the 19th/early 20th century was big enough to Anglicise it.
@rahotep101 First off, I don't need you to GRANT me NOTHING, because you nor your ancestors were there & your knowledge of history is still in INFANCY and I said NOTHING about the word NEGRO and neither did Herodotus and the account about Egypt becoming Aryanized was given almost 100 years before the arrival of Herodotus by Wedjahorresnet but still Herodotus were reffering to the South Egyptians of Thebes & Elephantine as BLACK like the Ethiopians, know your History and keep YOUR SAY out of it.
@raidio1 Herodotus never said the Egyptians were black like the Ethiopians- (not that you have any more to do with Ethiopians than you do with Egyptians, but you are embarrassed about your real ancestry). He said the Egyptians were dark like the Colchians. The Colchians, who are ethnically and literally Caucasians, have no black African blood. The Egyptians went nowhere, and and neither did the Colchians. Modern Copts and Georgians provide an adequate picture of the ancient populations.
Again that is YOUR SAY, because Herodotus used the word MELANCHROES to describe ONLY the EGYPTIANS, ETHIOPIANS and COLCHIANS and MELANCHROES means BLACK and unlike other ancient historians, Herodotus SAILED all the way SOUTH to THEBES, ASWAN and MEROE, so when he said BLACK, he meant BLACK, nice try but NOT so fast, you can't pull that NON-SENSE with me, you are still a NOVIST and DON'T KNOW a DAM thing, now LOSE the RACISM and go LEARN something BOY.
@raidio1 Firstly Melanchroes was not the Greek word for black Africans and the Colchians were certainly never such. Secondly, Herodotus never went anywhere south of Elephantine, and all his information about Nubia was second hand from Egyptians (whom he was never very good at understanding). Thirdly, it will take more than being called names by a non-entity like yourself to disturb my equanimity.
Provide your source that says the Egyptians were DARK skin and CURLY hair, because I can tell you now, that it is a LATE FABRICATED SOURCE and the ORIGINAL and CORRECT term for the color of the COLCHIANS and EGYPTIANS is BLACK but like I said, PROVIDE your SOURCE, just give a NAME and I will look into it, to see if you are CORRECT but FAILURE to provide, then everything YOU SAY is YOUR SAY.
@raidio1 I've already posted more than enough original Egyptian images and well preserved mummies than you can shake a crook and flail at. The preponderance of medium, caramel colour skin, Caucasoid features and straight, curly or wavy hair is more than obvious. Even the source you use, Rawlinson, makes the point in the notes that Egyptians were not black Africans as abundant material evidence attests, and every more recent translation says 'dark' & 'curly' instead of 'black' & 'woolly'.
@rahotep101 I never doubted Light skin Egyptians & it will be CRAZY to do so, because North Egypt is right on the border of the LEVANT just as SOUTH EGYPT is right on the border of SUDAN & spare me the NON-SENSE from that HYPOCRITE RACIST GEORGE RAWLINSON, he also said that Herodotus was EXAGGERATING about the BLACKNESS of Egyptiaans, this battle of AFRICAN TRUTH VS FOREIGN RACISM will never end until FAKERS like YOU, learn to BE YOURSELF & let TRUTH PREVAIL & give South Egyptians their CREDIT.
@rahotep101 STOP the NON-SENSE, you sound like a RACIST MADMAN & you are wasting your time with FALSE thinking, most historians, including some Afrocentic ones, acknowledge that there were lightskin ancient Egyptians just as their were Jet-Black Egyptians like Mentuhotep 2, Queen Kemsit & Ahmes Nefetari & chocolate brown Egyptians like Queen Tiye & the Natives in Egypt today know this, so quit this FALSE MADNESS and enjoy it for what it is or if NOT, then just leave it alone & be your DAM SELF
Cleopatra was a EURO-FAKER of Macedonian descent and if she was half Egyptian, it was more likely a lighter skin North Egyptian mixture but here is what the Egyptians of 60 B.C.E had to say about the Macedonians.
"They say, many institution which was regarded as good were changed, after the Macedonians had conquered & destroyed once and for all the kingship of the native line"...Diodorus Siculus, 90-30 B.C.E (Book 1).
History tells it better than genetics BUT YOUR RACISM is your FALLACY.
@rahotep101 Thank you for making this video. Do you know how many times I have seen Fatback talking shit about long skulls being primitive? When whites can have those skulls too. In case you are wondering who Fatback is. This is just a nickname to a slavic nationalist. Who is American but oh so loves Poland to death. He has never even been to Poland yet talks as if they are the greatest people on earth. Also I downloaded your video. Hope you don't mind. I personally don't care about Egypt.
Thanks. I'm getting sick of the continual media-driven racist assault upon us. It's a global PSYOPS; blaming us for the historical crimes of other races; stealing our historical achievements by giving the credit to others; enforcing "multiculturalism" only in our countries; encouraging racial pride for everyone, except Whites and/or Aryans...
@nameofthepen It is annoying when the media start reporting things as though they were established beyond doubt when nothing could be further from the truth: Cleopatra's mother was black, and such idle speculation as that.
Aye well some of the celts that were native to Briton and Ireland have stayed that way (especially in Ireland) and weren't invaded or mingled with huns or anglo-saxons from mainland europe
Blood type o and a reasonably high proportion of rhesus negatives gaelic kelts
gaelic keltic ( irish scots welsh -not english german huns!) blood of Yahweh toes-
wiki-Morton toes
In statuary and shoe fitting it has been called the Greek foot A longer second toe has often been associated with royalty, particularly during the rule of the Ptolemaic dynasty when Egypt was under Greek rulership. It was an idealized form in Greek sculpture, (the Statue of Liberty has toes of this proportion). There are also associations found within Celtic groups.
@greenmagoos By the way, did you know the Oromo (Hamitic African people from further south than Egypt) were also sometimes called 'Galla'. I found this interesting in the light of speculation connecting Celts to North Africa, but I'm not sure what it might mean.
Haven't noticed either. I just thought I'd point out the difference between the native tribes of Briton and Ireland and the rest of the europe apart from the basques
@greenmagoos I suspect the English have more Celtic blood and are more closely related to other inhabitanst of the British Isles (Scots, Welsh and Irish) than is often imagined. The Scotish myth of Egyptian ancestry is an interesting medieval legend, but it doesn't really seem a very Egyptian thing to do to sail off into the frozen north and to start chasing deer through glens full of thistles.
Not sure I'm following you. For red haired rh- blood to have survived - i.e. passed down as a bloodline from generation to generation- the tribes with it- i.e scots welsh and indegenious irish must have had to keep their women away from rh+ blond haired blue eyed saxon huns.
Cleopatra was of Greco-Macedonian descent.

And saying E is Asian is saying West Africans (so-called Negroids) are Asians
davidcici11 2 months ago
rahotep their is no evidence of what Cleopatra looked like, the evidence was small accounts of her not being an attractive women, but very intellectually attractive given her brilliant but deceptive mind.
There is also an account by an Greek playwriter who talks about the Greek ship she came from, being inhabited of nothing but pitch black inhabitants. She may have came from the Macedonian Greek dynasties, but doesn't necessarily mean at heart she was Greek or fully Greek.
davidcici11 2 months ago
@davidcici11 - I disagree on Cleopatra eing of possible mixed race heritage. We do not know who her grandmother was on her father's side. Her grandmother was the mistress (not the wife) of her grandfather, Ptolemy IX. Because nothing is known about this person, the assumption has always been that she was a Macedonian Greek, like the other members of Ptolemy's court. Like other Greeks, the Ptolemies were wary of foreigners. They kept themselves apart from the native populations....
bgibb101 2 months ago
@bgibb101 your right, their is no true evidence, but given Cleopatra half sister having a so-called Negroid cranial she is probably half if not wholly African. Their is no true evidence other then that that would determine Cleopatra ethnicity, but meaning its a Macedonian dynasty doesn't neccessarily mean their were no native Egyptians.
But during this time, they most likely mixed and diluted the native population to a certain extent I think the African context was still in place.
davidcici11 2 months ago

@davidcici11
"Carthage is and was always African"
You're using African in a racial context. Africa is a continent, not a race. Looking at ancient artifacts from Carthage I see only Caucasian people. You don't see blacks in North Africa, accept recent immigrants. This was so as far back as the early days of ancient Egypt. I don't understand how some people can look at Cleopatra's bust and claim her to be even 1% black. Same goes for Septimius Severus.

China6296 4 months ago

Nothing to be proud of.
shockadellick 5 months ago
Black as a race doesn't have breeding standard. Black isn't a race. Example, Mexican and Black, remains black. Black with 99.9% if know to have black in it remains black. So if you go by your standard. Elizabeth could be depict as Cleopatra. Because today there are many people who are actually white claiming themselves as black. Your group need to stop letting any one be black before you can say what some can't be. Work on a breed standard before you work on anything else. Why would you want To
shockadellick 5 months ago
@rahotep101 black is a race. Any one mixed with west African can be black. Some English breed blacks can range from Chinese to some one dominated with European genes, and still be considered pure, by both the English standard and the mix breed who follow his rules. No way in Hell was Cleopatra or any Egyptian a west African. If you are an American? The west African is your father. Etheopian you'd have some agreement. But your west african ancestors? No! Heck to be honest black Americans should
shockadellick 5 months ago
@rahotep I'm going say cleopatra was mix for argument sake. Now do you honestly believe 3000-4000 years ago were defining themselves to the English definition. The English made a silly rule, if mixed with Bantu/jet black African with white? you remain a pure African.. The original Egyptians breed for there color to be gold. They were not white, nor were they Black. They hated both extremes in their time.

Anyone who tells you Cleopatra or the ancient Egyptians were black Africans the same as American negoes is either a deluded fool or is selling something. Freeman is in the latter group. The sphinx was not defaced by Napoleon but by an Islamic iconoclast centuries previously, and not because of its racial appearence.
rahotep101 5 months ago
@rahotep101 Though I agree with your video at 1:49 where egyptian people bc looked that way, they still were not snow white. They even looked more mexican or native islanders. But to put up pics of women at 5:18 and say they are half egyptian, I can put up pics and say someone is anything, people evolve over time, comparing egyptian now after european takeover and mixture opposed to bc times there are totally different looks period.
alynnshw 5 months ago
@alynnshw Egyptians haven't mixed with Europeans to any significant extent, ever. The small foreign elites that ruled the country in post-pharaonic times wouldn't have made much impact on the general population.
rahotep101 5 months ago
In stark contrast to the picture of blacks being painted by those who favored the slave trade -- anthropologists and archaeologists were discovering more statues and other artifacts which presented a different view. Black people had indeed created the many pyramids and other artifacts. What to do? The Egyptians had left behind a huge "Picture Album".
alynnshw 5 months ago
In the early 1800s, around the same time Egyptian Archaeology was maturing, the Middle Passage (slave trade) was in full swing. In order for Europeans to justify the economic drive of the slave trade, blacks had to be viewed as non-humans. Animals. Tools for building the dreams of Europeans.
alynnshw 5 months ago
By the way, those pics you have of cleopatra are not even all her dummy, the two pics on right, one is a man, and one is a totally different woman. You just threw a bunch of silly pics in video. The pic on left top corner is her however, and I believe her nose is wide, and why does she always have braids? Is that common with white women? Braids? Compare that hair to the other pics, totally diferent.
alynnshw 5 months ago
Anyone can look at a pic of cleopatra on the egyptians walls and see she was dark, with thick full hair, not caucasian hair. How many Europeans survive in Africa's hot sun? Really? And The main reason white people don.t want to admit she was mixed with black is because she seduced two powerful white men and she was just as powerful. Common sense. I love Liz and Angelina, but if they had a real Cleopatra with dark skin, the world would be apalled to believe these men wanted her.

But that's alright there will never be another civilization that would ever compare to the anicent Egypt. So I can understand how you and others would like to steal it.
lorenzo8500 5 months ago
@lorenzo8500 The bust of Nefertiti in Berlin can be verified, as the paint on it has been carbon dated and found to be 3000 years old. The theory that it is a 20th century fake requires it to have been painted with ancient paint, which is ridicuous! The features also happen to match those of contemporary mummies, especially the younger lady from tomb KV35. Its only negrocentric fucktards who wish to steal Egyptian culture in order to give themselves a mythical ancestry and bury their real past.

I'm not ashamed of any history.

phoenician7 10 months ago
@180drgrees Egyptians were related to Nubians, but they were not exactly alike. The people of Egypt and the Sudan looked very similar in the ancient past to they way they look now. The image Afrocentrists and their fellow travellers often show of Egyptians looking the same as Nubians is mislabelled. The typical Egyptian look was mid-way between the dark south look and the lighter peoples of the Middle East and the Maghreb. As for the sphinx myth, spare me, I have dealt with that elsewhere x 100.

If the Nubians live in Aswan and Luxor, they shouldn't be called Nubians, they should be called Egyptians BUT ofcourse they have to be seen as NUBIANS, because many FOREIGNERS in Egypt, want to be seen as Egyptians and even the user COPTIC LION, who is from Egypt, told me that the Copts are a minority in Egypt and the majority of the population are descendants of ARABS and TURKS BUT you wouldn't acknowledge that, because it doesn't go along with YOUR SAY, I see why they call you EURO FRAUDS.
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 There are Nubians in southern Egypt who are Egyptian citizens, but they are Nubian by ethnicity and culture. Coptic Christians are indeed the religious minority in Egypt (about 10%). Coptic Lion is a zealous Christian and, I suspect, is in denial (pun intended) about the fact that many Christians converted to Islam. But even if I Coptic Lion is right & the Christian Copts are the only Egyptians with Ancient Egyptian blood, that doesn't help your argument, because most Copts aint black!
rahotep101 10 months ago
@rahotep101 There are BLACK COPTS, you just don't acknowledge them BUT this is really NOT about BLACK & WHITE, so let's be realistic here, because we both seem to have our biasness & we both can be mislead, because it is a FACT, that North & South Egypt are inhabited by people of FOREIGN background and what you see in North Egypt as a Lightskin Egyptian could just another Turk, Mediterranean or Arab and what I see in the South as a Black Egyptian could just another dark Arab from Yemen or Saudi.
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 Yes there are 'black' Copts, and there are 'white' Copts. The majority are something in between and that's Ancient Egypt in a nut shell. Later, under Islam, the Christians could not marry or seek to convert Muslims in Egypt, but they could retain links with other Christians, which included the Ethiopians and Nubians, and seek to convert pagans like the Beja, so naturally there was scope for mixing there.

Copts & Beja are just names but both are EGYPTIAN
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 I don't know why you fixate on the Beja, as they look as much like some modern Egyptians as like ancients, and usually they do not resemble negro west africans. Beja are nomands in a region that spills over into southern Egypt, but Copts are present in every part of Egypt, and are the descendants of the civilized ancient Egyptians.
rahotep101 10 months ago
@rahotep101
Just because they are Nomadic doesn't make them uncivilized Savages, the Beja are a very peaceful people BUT they are fierce warriors on the battle field and they are struggling just as the Copts are, because of FOREIGN DOMINATION, just as when the Spanish and Europeans Conquered America, the native Mayans and other Indian tribes got pushed into reservations and are now on the bottom but both Coptic & Beja goes all the way back to He-Ka-Ptah and Medjay and Nubians as Nehesu.
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 The Beja are uncivilized by virtue of not being city dwellers. I was not disparaging them. Beja tribesmen were skillful and courageous warriors who gave the British (and the Egyptians) a very tough time during several 19th century wars in the Sudan.
rahotep101 10 months ago
@rahotep101
They are NOT uncivilized, they are just resourceless and you do realize, IF YOU PAY ATTENTION to ancient Egyptian art, that ancient Egyptians was for the MOST part, lived a NOMADIC way of life and they were for the most part CATTLE HERDERS, your so busy looking at things in a BIAS manner, that you FAIL to see the REALITY.
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 My uncle is a farmer and has a herd of cattle, but he's not a nomad! Similarty Egyptians were mostly farmers they were settled on the land along the Nile where they planted their crops. They lived in villages, towns and cities. This is a bit different from the nomadic pastoralist lifestyle of the peoples further south.
rahotep101 10 months ago
@rahotep101 It is a fact that Coptic comes from He-Ka-Ptah and that refers to the city of Memphis and they are lightskin & have always been lightskin & tanned brown & the Nubians in the South of Aswan & Luxor have always been there & they are darker brown or Mahogany complected & then you have the Beja from the eastern deserts who fought for the GOD AMUN, so I am saying the Copts, Nubians & Beja are the closest thing to the ancients alive TODAY, one just live NORTH and the other live SOUTH.
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 In the south the Copts are as brown as anyone else, and the dominant Coptic dialect, Sahidic, was the dialect of southern Egypt. The Copts are not only a northern group but are present throughout Egypt, and are not distinguishable ethnically or phenotypically from the Muslim majority. So much as I may respect Coptic Lion, I can't support the view that the Muslims are not likewise the descendants of ancient Egyptians.

1st off, My ancestry is LOST, I am a descendant of SLAVES, so I have NO CHOICE but to claim the LOST and CONQUERED ancient Empires of Africa and as for your COPTS, the LAST PHARAOH FLED to NUBIA, the CHRISTIAN Bible says the EGYPTIANS were SCATTERED among NATIONS & DISPERSE through COUNTRIES and REPLACED by STRANGERS and the son of CLEOPATRA was EXILED to ETHIOPIA and than into INDIA and the ROMANS predate COPTIC CHRISATIANS, so ALL and ALL, you have NOTHING but YOUR SAY to RELY ON.
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 That your ancestry is lost doesn't give you the right to claim anyone else's! Newsflash! The Bible does not say the Egyptians were scattered among the nations, only contains an obscure prophecy which has yet to come to pass, & probably never will. Your absurd remarks about Romans predating Coptic Christians show how impossibly dense you are. Any idiot can graps the concept that ancient Egyptians mostly stayed put & coverted to Christianity!
rahotep101 10 months ago
@rahotep101

@rahotep101
I'm just stating what the Egyptians of 60 B.C.E said and I will agree that the Persians played the major role in destroying the native Kingship line and also, according Wedjahorresnet, (the Persians) Aryanized the population of Egypt 200 years prior to the arrival of Alexander and what people don't understand also, is when Herodotus called the Egyptians BLACK, he was reffering to the Egyptians of Thebes (Waset-Luxor) and they still are BLACK till this day & the purest live in Gurna.
raidio1 11 months ago
@raidio1 They're not white, I'll grant you, that far south, but the're not exaclty negroes either, for the most part. They are not darker than the people of Bahrain, which is on about the same latitude. I don't think Herodotus gives the impression that there were huge numbers of Persian settlers in Egypt, only enough to govern and garrison it. Not enough to 'Aryanise' Egypt anymore than the British presence in the 19th/early 20th century was big enough to Anglicise it.
rahotep101 11 months ago
@rahotep101 First off, I don't need you to GRANT me NOTHING, because you nor your ancestors were there & your knowledge of history is still in INFANCY and I said NOTHING about the word NEGRO and neither did Herodotus and the account about Egypt becoming Aryanized was given almost 100 years before the arrival of Herodotus by Wedjahorresnet but still Herodotus were reffering to the South Egyptians of Thebes & Elephantine as BLACK like the Ethiopians, know your History and keep YOUR SAY out of it.
raidio1 11 months ago
@raidio1 Herodotus never said the Egyptians were black like the Ethiopians- (not that you have any more to do with Ethiopians than you do with Egyptians, but you are embarrassed about your real ancestry). He said the Egyptians were dark like the Colchians. The Colchians, who are ethnically and literally Caucasians, have no black African blood. The Egyptians went nowhere, and and neither did the Colchians. Modern Copts and Georgians provide an adequate picture of the ancient populations.
rahotep101 10 months ago
@rahotep101
Again that is YOUR SAY, because Herodotus used the word MELANCHROES to describe ONLY the EGYPTIANS, ETHIOPIANS and COLCHIANS and MELANCHROES means BLACK and unlike other ancient historians, Herodotus SAILED all the way SOUTH to THEBES, ASWAN and MEROE, so when he said BLACK, he meant BLACK, nice try but NOT so fast, you can't pull that NON-SENSE with me, you are still a NOVIST and DON'T KNOW a DAM thing, now LOSE the RACISM and go LEARN something BOY.
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 Firstly Melanchroes was not the Greek word for black Africans and the Colchians were certainly never such. Secondly, Herodotus never went anywhere south of Elephantine, and all his information about Nubia was second hand from Egyptians (whom he was never very good at understanding). Thirdly, it will take more than being called names by a non-entity like yourself to disturb my equanimity.
rahotep101 10 months ago
@rahotep101
Provide your source that says the Egyptians were DARK skin and CURLY hair, because I can tell you now, that it is a LATE FABRICATED SOURCE and the ORIGINAL and CORRECT term for the color of the COLCHIANS and EGYPTIANS is BLACK but like I said, PROVIDE your SOURCE, just give a NAME and I will look into it, to see if you are CORRECT but FAILURE to provide, then everything YOU SAY is YOUR SAY.
raidio1 10 months ago
@raidio1 I've already posted more than enough original Egyptian images and well preserved mummies than you can shake a crook and flail at. The preponderance of medium, caramel colour skin, Caucasoid features and straight, curly or wavy hair is more than obvious. Even the source you use, Rawlinson, makes the point in the notes that Egyptians were not black Africans as abundant material evidence attests, and every more recent translation says 'dark' & 'curly' instead of 'black' & 'woolly'.
rahotep101 10 months ago
@rahotep101 I never doubted Light skin Egyptians & it will be CRAZY to do so, because North Egypt is right on the border of the LEVANT just as SOUTH EGYPT is right on the border of SUDAN & spare me the NON-SENSE from that HYPOCRITE RACIST GEORGE RAWLINSON, he also said that Herodotus was EXAGGERATING about the BLACKNESS of Egyptiaans, this battle of AFRICAN TRUTH VS FOREIGN RACISM will never end until FAKERS like YOU, learn to BE YOURSELF & let TRUTH PREVAIL & give South Egyptians their CREDIT.
raidio1 10 months ago
@rahotep101 STOP the NON-SENSE, you sound like a RACIST MADMAN & you are wasting your time with FALSE thinking, most historians, including some Afrocentic ones, acknowledge that there were lightskin ancient Egyptians just as their were Jet-Black Egyptians like Mentuhotep 2, Queen Kemsit & Ahmes Nefetari & chocolate brown Egyptians like Queen Tiye & the Natives in Egypt today know this, so quit this FALSE MADNESS and enjoy it for what it is or if NOT, then just leave it alone & be your DAM SELF
raidio1 10 months ago
Cleopatra was a EURO-FAKER of Macedonian descent and if she was half Egyptian, it was more likely a lighter skin North Egyptian mixture but here is what the Egyptians of 60 B.C.E had to say about the Macedonians.
"They say, many institution which was regarded as good were changed, after the Macedonians had conquered & destroyed once and for all the kingship of the native line"...Diodorus Siculus, 90-30 B.C.E (Book 1).
History tells it better than genetics BUT YOUR RACISM is your FALLACY.
raidio1 11 months ago
@raidio1 We agree on Clepatra's background at least. It wasn't the Macedonians but the Persians who got rid of the native kings.

It's a global PSYOPS; blaming us for the historical crimes of other races; stealing our historical achievements by giving the credit to others; enforcing "multiculturalism" only in our countries; encouraging racial pride for everyone, except Whites and/or Aryans...
nameofthepen 11 months ago
@nameofthepen It is annoying when the media start reporting things as though they were established beyond doubt when nothing could be further from the truth: Cleopatra's mother was black, and such idle speculation as that.

The highest percentage per population of Redheads or carrying the recessive red hair gene in Scotland and Ireland as well!

Yes the prefix GAL seems to be associated with the places of the celts.
One wonders if that extended to Jesus and the tribe of GALileans in North Palestine
greenmagoos 11 months ago

There are also associations found within Celtic groups.
greenmagoos 11 months ago
@greenmagoos There were Celtic mercenaries in Ptolemaic Egypt, mostly from Galatia.
rahotep101 11 months ago
@greenmagoos By the way, did you know the Oromo (Hamitic African people from further south than Egypt) were also sometimes called 'Galla'. I found this interesting in the light of speculation connecting Celts to North Africa, but I'm not sure what it might mean.
rahotep101 11 months ago
@greenmagoos I've never noticed celtic feet on an Egyptian statue, but they do all seem to have really big feet, with extra long toes.
rahotep101 11 months ago
@rahotep101
Haven't noticed either. I just thought I'd point out the difference between the native tribes of Briton and Ireland and the rest of the europe apart from the basques
greenmagoos 11 months ago
@greenmagoos I suspect the English have more Celtic blood and are more closely related to other inhabitanst of the British Isles (Scots, Welsh and Irish) than is often imagined. The Scotish myth of Egyptian ancestry is an interesting medieval legend, but it doesn't really seem a very Egyptian thing to do to sail off into the frozen north and to start chasing deer through glens full of thistles.
rahotep101 11 months ago
@rahotep101
There is one blood type to be found among Scots and Irish and Welsh that doesn't take too well to being mixed with 'other' tribes.
