Thats what happend with mine i had jailbrake then i had normal softwere and i still had battery percentage , and then i restored all settings and its fkin gone. ....
If you have a iPod touch download checkpoint you get prizes and stuff and the app is free and enter this code for bonus points enter blake1357 for more points blake1357 blake1357 blake1357
On my iPod I jailbroke mine and got sbsettings on cydia, turned on numerical battery, and as I wanted to unjailbreak I restored in iTunes and it's there permanently and I can't turn it off
i had the same thing it was awsome i had a i touch 2 and for christmas i got a 4 right well my i touch 2 had jailbreak and i had numeric well then i restored my i touch on it then i had the numeric battery i love it
It's called battery percentage 3.0 or battery control, I forgot and SB SETTINGS doesn't have to do ANYTHING with getting your battery percentage onto your springboard !! SB settings is like shortcuts to things that you can do in settings, so you can pretty much turn off your wifi or put up your brightness etc. WITHOUT having to leave the app you're in. All you have to do is slid the springboard and it'll come up. :D
It's called springboardsettings (SBsetting) this happened to my brother too but i didn't want to have jailbroken anymore but I want to have the percentage thing but i did exactly the same but it didn't work:(
@xD3ad thanks alot i got a iphone 4 you can watch my unboxing video and i wanted the percentage and all the videos said jailbreak and you helped me out alot thank you very much
You know that if you jail break your phone, then after REINSTALL the original 3.0 or up firmware, the percentage battery stays in even after the new installation.... so the app that you downloaded did not affect anything, it was that you jailed broke your phone already. When you jailbreak you have the battery percentage
@mitch4137 same here, I keep restoring, I still have it (yay) but when I tried to install cfw with itunes 9.2 it didnt work so I went back to itunes 10 and restored but lost it. :(
You could probable tweak around with the backup to get this. It's built into the device but on some you cant activate it. (I don't see what apple's up to. It ENCOURAGES people to jailbreak.)
also, from cydia, there is an app you can get called "make it mine" where you can change your carrier logo, or the banner to anything you want it to be and if you restore the iphone/ipod, whatever you changed the carrier or banner to stays.
@billybobhargood yes, his current firmware isnt jailbroken. he never said that the whole process didnt involve jailbreaking. his current firmware is unjailbroken - as the title states.
@Mark742617000027 Sorry if I sounded harsh or anything but, what I meant was, he had actually jailbroken it, so you DO need it jailbroken. No hard feelings Zanesavage :)
You are not activating it on an unjailbroken iPhone though!? You are activating on a jailbroken iPhone then restoring, which defeats the object as peopel looking at this video don't want to jailbreak at all!
This is exactly what happened to me! I restored the original 3.0 software again and it fixed the problem. The original app from Cydia is called SB settings I believe, I think im wrong but im just guessing....
