Great job! I was in the Wisconsin honors band in 1985 and we played this as well. I think you did a superior job! It's such a catchy set of melodies that I have always been able to hum it entirely from memory although until today I had not heard it in over 20 years. Perhaps you can relate. Again, great job!
good luck at the 4a level. i made it area in 4a my sophomore year. my school dropped down to atssb and i made 7th chair wind ensemble junior year and 2nd chair sr. year. much much more competative in 4a.
@chaguirre1 : Yes, that I am, and my parents took this vid, so I had no control over the camera angle (sry). I have thought about doing 4/5A , dont know if I will audition or not :)
@pwoodklarinette1 i see! if you want a challenge, go 4a, but if you want REAL CHALLENGE definitely go 5a! i made state on clarinet in the 5a division. but i ended up getting 11th in the band! i gotta tell you, the first chair guy was AMAZING. but i have to warn you that it is extremley hard to make state 5a on clarinet, but i think you are good enough! you should totally go for it!
are yo the guy who got first chair overall in the ATSSB? the video seems to always look at you! lol have you ever considered trying out for 4a or even 5a???
