iv gotta ask does richard ashcroft write his own orchestral arrangements? Iv got most of his albums and i have never failed to be impressed by the musical composure.

@greg456 no, he works out what he thinks sounds nice sonically on a midi keyboard with string sounds, then works with different string arrangers to realise what he has created. So its still all composed by him, but its not like he's writing out in clefs and staves or anything like that. Get me?

He has no formal musical education whatsoever, just soul. I always imagine what it would be like if a working class soul got a musical eduction but stayed rooted in that modish thing. We'll see.
