  • Crumhorns are so amazing. I know that they are not particularly loud instruments, but I really have no idea why, in this world of amplification, they are hardly ever used, except in really wonderful period compositions like this one.

  • Belle musique !

  • Here are my guesses. It's a soprano recorder, a lute (or perhaps a vihuela), a gamba being plucked plus percussion. Later an alto recorder joins them. Then 2 krummhorns/crumhorms (soprano and alto) are used for the last piece around 6:00.

  • I know this song so well! I sing it all the time. How I love this song. So renaissance :D I usually close my eyes while listening to renaissance music. And when I close my eyes I see a village, with many people being happy and a huge castle with a king and queen, and a nature that is so beautiful that I can't describe it!

  • @sc0ttyb0dy123 my cousin plays that game lol

  • play it with skyrim

  • @sc0ttyb0dy123 This song is epic when you're fighting Kematu and his 6 Alik'r Warriors

  • Yeah, particularly like the end with ...sounds like shawms perhaps. Wicked.

  • Courante Pavanede by Cambiate????? i dont understand

  • It sounds sometimes like greensleeves to a ground, I love it! Beatiful music, and recorders are fantastic. Congratulations from Spain!!!!

  • @guitargoddess002 is almost sounds like pirates of the carribean (:

  • Beautiful music-Where`s it from? I recognise it from somewhere, or it sounds like a song I know.....

    Either way, it`s nice.

What instruments are playing? (Renaissance and such like is the kind of music I love to lsten to but know bearly anything about it)

  • @guitargoddess002 I don't know all of them but sounds like a flute.... and drums xD

  • @guitargoddess002 A soprano recorder, an alto recorder and a lute/full-stop harpsichord, I'm guessing. I don't know if this particular recording was performed with period instruments, though. It could have just as well have been recoded with modern instruments.
