  • I wasnt there to see this in person .6 THUMBS DOWN!!! xD

  • does somebody have the sheetmusic of this ?? with chords or without...

  • @maikel371 need to play it on a wedding !!

  • Interesting double impression of the original, in latin 4/4 (unique in itself) and on horn. love it as always mr. hoffer!

  • WHY DO PEOPLE ATTEND LIVE MUSIC FUNCITONS, JUST TO RUN THEIR FUCKING MOUTHS?

  • Lol. It's in 4.

  • I like the sound! And i really need to know what kind of mouthpiece that is!!

  • Love your version of take five! If you are ever in the Chicago area look me up. I run a jazz horn choir!

  • I play a bit flugelhorn. Its a bit to high for me....I thought maybe a trombone is good.....But!

This is great!! What kind of horn do I "need" for playing jazz???

  • stupefacente.

Mi piacerebbe vederlo in un concerto in Brasile

  • man if this was on itunes i would totaly buy this song and listen to it for hours

its a really good jazz song a true classic

  • Wow, you should rename this one "Take Eight". What a horrible way to mess up a great five-beat song.

  • @jessicaborgnis I was just thinking that.. I thought that it sounded different, and then I realized that there were four beats a measure! I guess it must be done to fit that Latin style...

  • Just so good....

  • you are great !

  • sweet!!

  • It's actually in 8, if you see in the description of the video, it says this is a latin version, it has more like a samba/salsa rythm, which are in 8 most of the type..so not the typical take 5 ;)

  • this is purely amazing! i play the french horn and will never be this good...but i DO play jazz on piano or guitar, and this is a great jazz piece. i'm lovin it in 4/4!! and that would be because it is the LATIN VERSION, not because they can't count to five!! artistic liberty means nothing these days....:P

  • one of my favourite groups with a lead french hornist

  • @flytallerkin I thought he was Italian.

  • one who plays a french horn is a french hornist (if that's the correct way to spell it)

  • @flytallerkin A French hornist is someone who puts his fist in the bell

  • awesome tone and mad chops!

  • @brycycle8 Because they can't count to 5. Dave Brubeck would be disappointed.

  • where can i find a score for this?!

  • great!!!

  • whoa

grr i play the french horn, but i suck at jazz,

so my excuse is that the french horn isnt a jazz instrument

but alas, thanks to your mad skills, my point is invalid.

    D:

    oh well :)

    you rock :)

  • STUPENDO! Vogliamo il corno JAZZZZZZZZZ ...e non solo classico!! Hoffer docet!

  • This is awesome, dude! I love playing the french horn, and you are excellent!

  • This is the coolest version of Take Five I've ever heard. The latin style fits surprisingly well, and I wish I could improvise like that! :)

  • @hackulous listen to the original maybe?

  • I have to play french horn at school. Now I'm really looking forward to it!

    :-)

  • this is beast! i am excited to hear a french horn play jazz, since i play horn in my jazz band at school.

  • wow. ur band director actually accepts horns in jazz band?

  • yeah, sometimes they can replace trombones if theres not enough, lol

  • Our jazz band has a horn as well, it's really cool. This thing isn't used in jazz nearly enough, it has a really cool sound to rival any jazz instrument.

  • bloody brilliant. i always thought the horn was absolutely no jazz instrument. but this is amazing.

  • Nope, even Miles Davis included horn in some of his stuff. Check out Julius Watkins and Tom Varner for some excellent solo jazz horn stuff too.

  • love your playing dude!

  • Great work!! This is awesome!!
