@handymandan100 damn right, even with the "catchy intro finish line" ("Works for me" in Hunter and "trust me, i know what i do" in S.H....) But anyway 80`s Rule!!
man does anybody know what channels this show appears on because their always putting the same crap on such as CSI crime investigation. You think they would put hunter on.
This is a great cop show unlike most of the shows on tv today. Back in the 70s and 80s you had detectives with character like Rick Hunter, Thomas Magnum, Kojak, Columbo, Cagney & Lacey. Today the actors on tv shows are dull, and it seems like all the drama shows copy from one another. I miss the days when it was cool to be original and different from the rest.
one of my favorite scenes...would be robber approaches a hot dog vendor...
Hunter notices and casually walks over...
Hunter: Simon didn't tell you to do that...
Robber: Simon? Who's Simon?
Hunter pulls his gun "Meet Simon" Arrests robber..."Simon says go directly to jail, do not pass go and do not collect $200... Looks at the vendor..."I'll have one with mustard and sauerkraut" CLASSIC!
Great TV series too bad the revival wasn't to popular, it would have introduced a new generation to Hunter.
Does anyone remember the Stephen J.Cannell produced series that never made the fall line up titled, "Broken Badges"? The Intro went: "What do you do with a bunch of cops like these? One's a kleptomaniac(Ernie Hudson); One's addicted to danger(Eileen Davidson); One's a compulsively violent ventriloquist(Jay Johnson),and their leader is a transplanted Cajun(Miguel Ferrer) who makes up his own rules as he goes along. What do you do with a bunch of cops like these?Give them a psychiatrist and PRAY!"

man.. all the feelings just rush back.. the spirit of the days of old are in the song.. wow.. amazing how it moves you to regret these times we now live in .. everyone can't deny that these days are empty and nothing like it was.. what is it for a young 20 something that has no memory of this.. or how good life was..? All they have is the internet, movies filled with mind killing drama..
Was shown late at night on a tuesday or wednesday night over here (UK), I'd lie in bed and watch it, forever struggling to get up in the morning for school, but it was worth it... works for me!
our teacher sent our class to the library to watch this on VHS...
A cat, sitting on a computer screen... A couple of mice... A man, riding an old fashion bicycle, with the two mice as pets somewhere in his garments...
HUNTER... I have no idea if this was the TV show ?
@lunchmeat400 dude you have to be kidding. this one one that we waited for.. with spencer for hire.. hart to hart , magnum PI, love boat. man the 80's was the ish.. best TV ever was the 80's.. I don't care what you say!!! Webster, Different Strokes, Benson, Dallas, Bob Newhart, Threes Company(70&80's), Trapper John MD.. lol I remember them all.. St Elsewhere, Mash, Dance Fever, Solid Gold, Michael Jackson on Friday Night Videos.. hahah Black Belt Theater.. Good ol Days!!!!

Fred Dryer was a great football player for the Los Angeles Rams.
Fred Dryer was so good as Hunter, you never needed to know he was ever an NFL player!
Stephanie Kramer was so sexy, all over!
