But before you randomly look for someone to bark at, ask your self why I watched this. I probably use joomla as well as dreamweaver. And since you are a cheapskate who doesn't want to pay for quality then your point is void because you can't compare the two. I however, crosplatform with countless programs. @bigbig83uk yes you can. thanks for asking. lessons of the day: 1)CMS= Content Management System 2) set up PHP application server 3) Insall Wordpress, drupal, or Joomla on the application server. 4) when asking a question only one (1) "?" is required.... On a side note if you want to better your web skills learn to crossplatform. Just like apple or pc? Answer is Both. They both have their strong points

I want to create online book. On the left pane he sees titles of chapters. When he clicks on a chapter title, then it expands and the sections inside that chapter are displayed. When he clicks on a section, then the contents of the section are displayed.

The content may contain anything - formatted text, graphics, audio, video, animation.Do you think this can be done thorugh Joomla? Or, will you suggest some other content management system? Thanks.

I still don't understand what Joomla is. How is it used on a normal site? Why would I want a Joomla web site to use Joomla? What's the point of this? Your explanation might make more sense if you used a regular site, not a Joomla site. How does this apply to the real world? This is very frustrating. You're explaining to people who already understand. But if someone doesn't know what you're talking about this means nothing.

Not enough room to explain all here.

There are 3 main constructs to web sites. 1.Layout & look (Use Cascading Style Sheets (css))2.content (words, images etc.)3.Action (e.g. javascript - can be used for AJAX too). Usually split into 3 separate files.

You can make the site look different & retain same content just by altering CSS file - so no real advantage of Joomla there. If you wanted different people to control content then Joomla would have a useful role in managing content.

Joomla would eventually kill dreamweaver. Not at this stage, but the idea is to enable any normal user to make dynamic interactive websites. It wouldn't be long before joomla kills many web programmers.

that being said - it's actually the other way around: the higher your ranking the more traffic you get, which is quite obvious.

as for SEO, pageranking is really the most important element in it.

page ranking depends on the number and quality of external links that lead to your website, not on how many people visit it.
